I also tried playing them in order. Had to drop Witcher 1 because it has such shitty gameplay, it's legitimately one of the worst RPGs I've ever played in that regard. Maybe even the worst. Witcher 2 is the definition of mediocre, it's like a 4/10. Witcher 3 is a 7/10 at best.

Witcher 3 definitely is the most overrated singleplayer game. Empty open world, every combat encounter is the same, no differences in subsequent playthroughs besides decisions made in dialogue, no roleplaying at all.

Overwatch is the most overrated game of all time. It is never balanced, has very little content, competetive is too competetive to have fun, and quickplay is always one-sided fights because of quitters.

If you can endure the first 3 hours of W1 combat you're set for a pretty decent story. Combat doesn't actually get better, you just get used to the weird mechanics.

Witcher 1 vanilla was fun for me, but the combat rebalance mod was one of the best ARPG experiences ever. Every single encounter kept me on edge and needed preparation and I fought the last boss for like 20 minutes.

It could have easily fixed with some imagination and talent from the writers. Like instead of her being seen literally last week , make her trail cold. Witcher 3 is very extreme example where even the main quests feel like disconnected collection of side activities,all the while the game tells you how urgent the quest is. And then there are all the disconected side activities and mini-games

How is Bloodborne overrated? It deserved a higher score than western AAA games like Uncharted 4 and Witcher 3. It's mechanically a much better game and the whole world is built very consistently with one director clearly being at the helm dictating a clear vision for the game to adhere to. It is one of the few author-driven AAA games of this gen.

Its circlejerked "nemesis" mechanic doesnt add shit to the experience as every enemy gets instakilled by something, meaning you either spend too much time doing no damage or kill them in one blow.

The story is for LoTR fans only, and even then was so predictable and mind boringly simple that its no wonder the studios made early access reviewers sign anti-crtisicm contracts.

People are praising this when it has one of the most lifeless and repetitve world design in what is essentially a shitty Arkham rip-off that has you run from empty plains to emptier plains on foot or run from mount to mount.

Also, its environmental mechanics are so laughably ridiculous that it is incredible sometimes.Bonfires explode like TNT, every enemy is Nicholas Cage and the enemy design is bland as fuck.
