Is he right?
Destiny 2 and microtransactions
It doesn't matter since the game is so boring you won't play it long enough to be tempted to buy them.
the microtransactions are kinda whatever but the shader change is complete fucking bullshit
>palette swaps are single use items
people paid money for this game
even Warframe hasn't pulled this level of bullshit
palette swaps drop like apples in an orchard
>palette swaps have fucking rarity tiers
Good? That makes sense
die in a fire ty
sure np
>see this thread
>for some reason decide to see how the destiny subreddit is taking it
>they're defending the change
holy fuck that game's fanbase is garbage. Not only will they take it up the ass, but they'll thank the person fucking them afterwards.
>turn these things in to raise your faction level with this sniper guy
>do it
>here's your reward!
>Oh wait you have to be level 20 to accept it. Come back when you're level 20 :)
>this is a fucking 1-5 level Starter zone
What the fuck?
The game shower you in shit, you have to be a massive fucking tool to buy anything, nothing is exclusive to microtransation.
It's still jewish as all fuck though, not gonna deny that.
So does everything else apparently, Flame Elemental Handcannon that does 200 damage, then 5 minutes later a Flame Elemental Handcannon that does 207 damage and like 3 gear drops that all offer a whopping +2 over your existing gear.
This was in Destiny 1, but they implemented it in a retarded way i guess in the sequel
>Microtransactions that are purely cosmetic is everything wrong with Destiny 2
So Destiny 2 has no flaws?
Didn't watch, but the new shader system is shit and the excuse they gave was TOTAL horseshit.
>we want you to say "I want to do the raid again for the raid shader"
Yeah fucking right.
Palette swaps as in the different colors for gear you could buy and change at will in Destiny 1? Please don't tell me it's that
it's that
Nope, there's tons of threads saying it sucks.
Its a breddy gud game. Graphically it beats Destiny 1 out of the water
Shitty antagonist but I'm having Hunter has some really fucking neat S.T.A.L.K.E.R End-game gear that I really want to get
reminder that people in 2017 still try to refute the slippery slope argument in the face of paid mods and shit like this happening right before their eyes
the reason the shader single use is bullshit is because you are constantly changing your gear, so the only aesthetic choice you really have control over is your color scheme, and they have taken that away by making them single use.
I could understand having a limited number and needing to equip them, but for them to get consumed makes them pointless
*having fun
Dude that's fucking retarded. How could they take something so small yet enjoyable and make it a grind and even worse ONE TIME USE? Fuck. I have been having fun with it so far but that really annoys me.
It's a bit of both.
Tons of people says it's a great game, other says it's the biggest disgrace to ever touch the video game hobby.
Turns out, and hold onto your dick here, people have different tastes and opinions.
>Inb4 "people have shit tastes and opinions"
Yeah, and that could be you
Bump
the only real problem with this game is 4v4 crucible
it's definitely less fun and puts way too much pressure on everybody. with only 4 people if you have even 1 not pulling their weight you can't win
I'm just pissed off that I can't have my most prized Destiny 1 possesion, the Hawkmoon with me in destiny 2.
Call me an idiot by I'd pay money to get to keep some gear and weapons from D1. Legit 1 weapon and one armor piece. You could ask me for 10$ In silver to do this and I'd throw my money at them like Atlanta threw the 2016 Super Bowl for the Patriots.
Having no way to earn permanent shaders is retarded period, but the other microtransactions are pretty benign. The only ones I would argue as overstepping, are the mods. But those aren't end level gear, and easy to come by in regular gameplay.
They should just implement permanent shaders the same way you can get legendary mods; Turn in 5 or 10 of the same shader and get 1 permanent in return. This way you still have to work for it and shaders still have more meaning than the first game.
Probably going to buy this for pc when it hits around €10.
How many years do you think I'll have to wait?
If they absolutely have to have microtransaction shaders (which is bullshit so fuck off with that shit), then keep the way they have it now with single use shaders for individual armor pieces, but add in the D1 style that colors your whole set for glimmer.
