>one of the funniest, most intense fights in the game is against a random NPC
what did they mean by this?
>*ignores you parry*
>*has infinite bullets*
>*teleports behind you*
le git well xD
>being this mad
become proficient child
>*kills you mid dodge*
>*spams instakill pistol*
u mad bro lmao xD
You know this is an optional fight right? It'd also be helpful to know your level, equipment and what not.
>*takes barely any damage from v. attacks*
>*instakills you across the room*
Psh...nothing personell kid
How is that relevant to anything in my post?
hes just shitposting,
>>*instakills you
What's your vit? 10?
Seriously, PC friends, don't feel bad, you're missing out on nothing, this game is a joke.
>There are people who can't beat Coldsteel the Crow without cheesing him
yes it's a bit annoying how the enemies don't play by the rules, but you have something that they don't. a human brain, you fucking retard
don't forget to get el gud my fellow redditor..... kos or as some say kosm hehehehe thanks for the reddit gold kind stranger......
tfw i beat that fucker because the ai was stupid enough to use his r2 two hannded chikage on me twice
Who is this? Just finished my play through and I don't recognize them
what is this supposed to prove? some over leveled player can easily beat the hunter npc?
An NPC hunter that's part of Eileen the Crow's quest line, he's the last encounter.
I used the stair glitch i dont even give a shit doing this without overlevelling is fucking cancer i dont give a fucking shit what you faggots think
go to cathedral ward after killing Rom
make sure you help Eileen kill henryk beforehand
It's an AI. You are literally losing to zero's and one's
*grand cathedral
Bloody Crow and Djura are honestly the hardest fights if you do them legit, they have infinite bullets and stamina which is just flat out unfair. Pretty sure everyone cheesed them.
Man I wanna fuck kuroko
Or maybe he's just mad. I hate that fucker, I always end up cheesing it after a few tries.
always delicious to see soulshits BTFO by something that takes actual skill
So is this widely agreed to be the best boss in the whole game?
>tfw every time you tried to cheese him you fucked up and ended up just fighting him normally in the process of staying alive
thankyou regain mechanic
I also hated that Hunter using beast claws in the old hunters but managed to beat him fair at level 65, stuck on the first boss though and I don't know if I will even try again as I've beaten the main campaign a long time ago.
You shouldn't be even attempting Old Hunters until you're 70 minimum for NG with a 40 Vit stat minimum, every boss except Living Failures will one hit/combo you if you get caught otherwise.
I've fought bloody crow fairly. it was a total waste of time and blood vials but i guess it felt good not poisoning him and letting him die by his own R2
I'd fight Djura fairly if he didn't jump off the roof every time i tried to fight him
Ludwig is better
An NPC you fight at the end of Eileen's questline. If you've completed Eileen's quest properly then after Rom dies and the Blood Moon starts, you'll find Eileen near death and bleeding out just outside the Grand Cathedral where you fought Amelia. Go inside the Cathedral again and in Amelia's boss fight room you'll find this guy. He's ridiculously hard because of his inflated stats and shit, and the fact that he uses the Chikage which is the edgiest weapon and he wears a mixture of the Cainhurst and Eileen's sets for maximum /fa/ lead to people linking him with that purposefully edgy Sonic OC, Coldsteel, hence the name Crowsteel. You get a really fucking good tune from beating him though, and also Eileen's covenant.
>tfw beat Old Hunters at lvl 60 cause I loathe grinding
Saw Cleaver and Beast Cutter were a godsend
Killed him on my first try. Massively overrated fight. Kinda wish I didn't spend so long preparing for it.
I guess I'll level up some more then, my reflexes aren't that good and I tend to panic in boss fights lol, I also hate the camera in this game sometimes either locked-on or not.
I use slow weapons, loving that saw mace I forgot its name and that hammer-sword. 5 AM here I don't even want to try and remember their names.
That's actually impressive, who gave you the most trouble? I was level ~85 when I started and steamrolled every boss except Orphan who took me probably around fifteen tries or so, he's ridiculously fast and aggressive.
His first phase wasn't too much of a problem when I figured out that instead of rolling to avoid his jump I could just walk forward and start charing an R2 attack for a free backstab into visceral but his second phase really messed me up. Great fight though, really shows off Bloodborne's combat to its fullest potential.
For Ludwig I would not recommend using camera lock on because when he jumps up in the air the game will drop the lock on entirely and it can mess you up because it can be disorientating.
?
>Who gave you the most trouble?
Fucking Laurence.
I got Orphan after 30 minutes, without parrying because I was actually that much of a retard and didn't think of parrying his placenta.
Seriously though, fuck Laurence and his inconsistent damage, you never know for how much he'll actually hit you.
>beat Orphan first try on my first attempt with only 10 vials and +7 Threaded Cane at level 70
>shitposted hard about how he was actually the easiest boss in the DLC and everyone was just shit
>have yet to beat him solo ever since, even at level 150 with properly gemmed, fully upgraded weapons
I feel ashamed. I beat every boss in The Ringed City on my first attempt too. I've yet to replay it but I'm not looking forward to seeing all the bosses rape me this time.
Laurence was my least favorite of the bosses honestly, yes including Living Failures. It was a reskin of Cleric Beast and the second stage was just needlessly drawn out because you had to constantly wait for him to give you an opening which was rare because he was always spewing out lava. It's like a really badly designed Quelaag and the first phase is no different from Cleric Beast really.
If I had to rank them I'd say: Orphan > Maria > Ludwig > Living Failures > Laurence, phenomenal DLC all around but I was hoping for a bit more from an optional fight.
For Ludwig's leap:
Count to 4 and roll. This is how I beat him on NG+ where his leap oneshot me at 40vit.
....you know to avoid the leap all you do is just sprint in a straight line, right?
You don't need to roll or do anything. Just hold circle and run forward in a line, he can't hit you.
You got Midir on your first try? I find that hard to believe.
And waste stamina that I could use to wail on him during his downtime?
Lmao
GIT GUD
Jk, play a better game unlrss you want to perfect rolling in a circle and rhythmically timing your I frames.
the key is to let him double hand his sword and then you go to town, it's always too risky to attack when he has his gun out. of all the things i hate about the game is that the npc hunters have fucking infinite bullets.
It surprised me too given what I heard beforehand. I'd only taken 10% of his HP by the time I was down to only 2 Estus, at which point I figured out that his head took way more damage than the rest of him and focused on that, and somehow I managed to spread that two Estus out over the rest of the fight. There's absolutely no way on Earth I can replicate it though, I feel like it was mostly luck that I figured out the timings and spacings for avoiding all his common attacks early on.
are you talking about the big leap where he completely goes off camera? he screams every single time right before he pounces back, you dont even need to have lighting reflexes to dodge, you can even just close your eyes and dodge as soon as you hear the scream
Same her voice makes my cock ROCK SOLID
Not him but I have more trouble with his charging attack, hitbox seems too wide, can't evade it dashing or rolling to the sides and it's a pain in the ass to hit with my 2-handed serrated mace.
>you can """""cheese""""" AI enemies in a singleplayer game
that's why it's an optional boss
Don't lock on and roll up and left, use your i-frames to your advantage.
yeah the timing can be a bit tricky. i always just walk directly sideways until right before he reaches me and then dodge. if you start spamming dodge right off the bat he will probably hit you.
actually reminded me of Ebriatas or whatever and her charge attack. and to this day i cannot dodge it for the life of me
It being optional doesn't excuse the fact that it's unfair.
And that's the other one I'm stuck on the main game although it's optional lol, fuck her charge attack too.
Will try if I pick the game up someday, thanks.
fights totally fair if you learned how to parry
He sometimes parries out of nowhere and fucks me up, ended up cheesing that bastard.
She was the hardest boss for me in the base game too.
For Ebrietas you want to try and stick to her sides and back, she can be staggered for a visceral if enough damage is done. You can also try baiting out her head slam which can also lead to a visceral, it's actually possible to get her in a loop of repeatedly doing the head slam which makes the fight trivial.
youtube.com
Git gud, faggot.
I did bait her head slam a lot without watching a guide but fucked up a few times and got killed by her charge attack or a different one, I might level up a bit more to use the cannon against her.
Thanks for the tips, will check that out after I wake up.
i swear to god that i've dodged a bullet from him before and he killed me with another bullet at the end of that dodge. one of the only enemies in the whole series that is bullshit for any reason other than animation cancelling (cause there's actually kind of a lot of that)
the worst part is that he's not a bad fight when he actually fights, he's just like any other npc hunter. it's just luck whether or not you'll get gun spammed to death
Can you still force him to kill himself in the latest patch?
I want to do a new play-through.
Not even him, but no.
Took him on the 30lvl without leveling vit even once(so around 10), could survive his gun just fine
Shoulda leveled VIT scrub
Midir is literally letting you to charge your attack to hit his head.
Literally worst dragon fight in the series, even more braindead than kalameet
>70
>60
>that's actually impressive
this dude is overleveled and still fucking awful
all you gotta do is bait his running r1 into visceral attack, then keep running
Just for next time, hug his right side (that faces your left when he's in front of you) and just beat the shit out of his armpit and head
>Pretty sure everyone cheesed them.
Hey it's not my fault Djura is a clueless retard who doesn't mind his surroundings.
Also it's pretty hard to cheese Crow now, they patched him so he'll fuck off from the stairs after a short while.
I did it before even creating my character.
WHAT NOW MOTHERFUCKER.
WAAAAAAAAAA GA GA GOO GOO WAAAAAAAAAH
I did it without putting the disc in my PS4.
He walks right into charged R2s like a retard. 99% of the damage you do to him should be from charged R2s. Stop dodging around so much; it just makes him spam his gun at you.
Whenever he wields his katana two-handed you can fight him normally
>owning the game
How can you even be that bad at this?
Is this objectively the best song transition in a boss fight?
youtube.com
>instakills
Nothing in these games instakills you except falling off a cliff.
Confirmed for never playing Dark Souls.
>*ignores you parry*
You mistiming it doesn't means he ignored it
>600 damage with a pistol
>3000 damage with visceral
Pretty cool, which hacks are you using there?
Level 250 on NG with 50 SKL ludwigs sword, 3x 27.2% phys gems, 3 clawmark runes
But really, he's not that hard to kill at the right level. Kite him about until he's using blood katana, then walk up to him and shoot and you'll parry him.
>Level 250
Are you shitting me man? Of course he's not that hard, try him at level 50 with shit gems and +6 weapon. Fuck you man.
bloodborne is the easiest souls game, you realize when you use a dash to evade that it has a hilariously large amount of iframes that is almost the entire animation, and you actually have to try to get hit or have the reaction time of a sloth when dodging.
not saying it's a good game in any capacity but if you think bloodborne is hard, i'd like to see you play dark souls 2 with low adaptability so your rolls have like 3 iframes total
I have, I've killed him on my BL4 too. That's my entire strategy in the post too. Dick about until he changes to blood katana, walk up to him and fire in his face.
If he attacked you'll visceral him then shoot him with BMA on wakeup. If he dodges instead of attacks you dodge forward through his counter attack and attack him once then back off. Don't engage him when he has his gun out. He will kill you in one shot.
Yea, I also never played it.
Marias grab attack
BSB grab attack
Sure you have. And don't talk like he has some sort of pattern, he attacks and moves completely randomly and does things that are not actually possible to do in the game. He literally breaks the rules.
Maria has a grab? Is it only during a specific phase for her or something because I've never seen it.
This NPC is bullshit. As somebody who has sunk way too much of my life into these games this is the only enemy I would actively advocate cheesing.
I could forgive the healing, the two tap unlimited ammo gun or the absurdly high damage but the Insta-oneshot parry means you just have to cross your fingers and hope the AI doesn't decide to do it when you're in melee range (in a melee based game)
If you can get him to pull out his Self-DoT run away and eventually he will forget to put it back up thus killing himself after a minute or two.
Those aren't instakills unless you have base vit or some shit
>I've never played a soulsgame the post
Just because your favorite streamer didn't die to an insta kill doesn't mean enemies have them.
iirc its more like a stagger that she folllows with a visceral attack. its only happened to me once in like the 50 times ive fought her
Bed of Chaos instakills you by knocking you off a cliff, though.
Her visceral attack does pathetic damage, like 150hp
i guess if you pump a ridiculous amount of VIT then you can survive most anything, but im pretty sure Marias is an instakill no matter what
