All I want is this game in at least 1080p 60fps with a real online network. Is that really so much to ask in the year 20 fucking 17? We were supposed to have flying cars and robots by now, instead we have tablets and gender neutral bathrooms in games.
It's been like 23 years since Pokemon came out and they still haven't made this game people have been asking for for all those years. Why does Nintendo only want to make money off Amiibos and marketing deals rather than make the most obvious best selling game of all time?

Gamefreak probably has some fear of it losing its appeal by removing the mobile/take anywhere novelty of the mainline series. The switch removes that barrier.
The other factor keeping it from happening is there is little motivation since they keep churning out basically the same low cost shit and it keeps selling.

Every Pokemon game already sells around 12 million copies and they spend like $50 on each game. Breath of the wild cost I believe $150 million to make. Why would they spend $150 million to make Breath of the Wild Pokemon when they can spend $50 and still get 12 million sales?

game freak is literally the only company that couldn't even get their games to work in 3D without a noticable lag, and even then in triple battles (where the 3D is automatically off) the game sometimes goes down to like 20fps. And that was on the 3ds' tiny resolution screen.

You don't have to change the combat, see some of the Dragon Quest titles for example, you can see monsters in the wild and enter a turn based combat by approaching them. I haven't played any Pokemon games past Diamond, but I believe they could make something similar to The Last Remnant and be able to fight up to 2 or 3 wild enemies at the same time.
It's just some idea anyways, I hope you enjoy playing Game Freak's next game.
