Do you think we'll ever see a new Homeworld?
Do you think we'll ever see a new Homeworld?
God, I hope so. The modding potential would be immense. Love Sins Of The Prophets.
Last I read BBI is working on "something"
So there might still be hope?
I started playing the Remastered Collection recently and failed terribly. How do I git gud? Give me some advice.
There's not much you can fail at really. What specifically is going wrong?
It's Mission 5 where I have to attack the fleet that destroyed Kharak. There's 3 Destroyers and all my Frigates got instantly destroyed by them. Tried building Bombers with the resources I had saved up, but I feel like there is always a very limited amount of resources in the missions. I only tried the mission once though. Should I just start again as the ships/resources get saved between missions?
Before a mission ends, always recycle all ships.
The number of enemies you face in the next mission is based on how many ships you take into it.
Wait, that's for homeworld 2's campaign, I forgot if it works for HW1 remaster as well.
Destroyers are anti frigate, so yea, they'll eat your frigates. If you have nothing but frigates and no resources to build bombers recycling might be a good option anyways.
Homeworld: deserts of kharak was hurried out and not supported with anything but paid reskin dlc and other stuff the art department can churn out while the programmers work at something else for precisely that reason.
Gearbox has given blackbird interactive (devs of HW:DoK) the license for homeworld, so any misfortune or lack of competence that examplifies gearbox is not indicative of what is written in the stars for HW3.
Apparently there is enemy scaling for the Remastered version, but I can't find any information if recycling is worth it and how much I get back for doing it. I do have a significant amount of resources saved up to build bombers. I guess I'll try recycling before the mission anyway.
Nvm, it's 80% apparently.
If the scaling is like homeworld 2 vanilla, it's definitely worth it.
The enemy starts with barely any ships and you have enough resources to build whatever you want. It's basically easy mode.
Wasn't the remaster for Homeworld bad?
Nope, it's great.
No? I'm seeing a lot of complaints whereby mechanics were soiled.
Minor things only autists complain about
Doesn't seem that way.
In none of my playthroughs have I noticed anything that makes the game bad
they were at release.
they patched things so the ship mechanics would behave more like the original.
On release yes, they patched it ever since and it's amazing.
one moment
same happened to me. turns out the game spawns more enemies depending on how many ships you have.
uninstalled right away, fuck this shit

loved DoK, it gave me old ground control vibes.
why did it had to be made on unity? this game is crying out for some mods
