Hello everyone

I've been vidya-less for the past couple of years and now I have some spare time to come back.
I bought an Xbox one, fallout 4 and rainbow six:Wildlands


Now both of them weren't very good, so I want something new.
I've narrowed My options down to 4 games :

1. The witcher
2. R6:Siege
3. GTA:V
4. Forza

Now I prefer the game to have an online mode to play with others, but I'm willing to make an exception with The witcher (I've been reading everywhere how good It is)
My only problem with It is the combat, It looks very Batman-ish which I did not enjoy.

Rainbow six looks fun but very repetitive, I've always been a big fan of online shooters but I'm afraid It's somewhat 'flavour of the month' and once something new comes up It will be dead in weeks.

GTA is the easy answer being the jack of all trades and master of none, so I'm obviously leaning a bit towards that.

I've always been a Grand turismo fag and never played Forza before, I keep hearing how It's better and I'm very very curious.

The witcher franchise is good but the first game starts out REALLY slow and then becomes fantastic

Siege is a mediocre team based game but Ubisoft

GTAV is okay, but gets boring after a while

Never play racing games so I can't vouch

I'm talking about the third witcher, which I guess holds the same principle.

and I understand that GTA keeps getting free dlc's all the time, aren't they enough to keep You coming back ?

I just didn't mind, really.

I have My laptop which doesn't run new games very well, and Vidya isn't part of My daily life as much as It was a few years back.

I'm comfortable with the controller, everything else doesn't really matter as much.

Sorry, but gaming on consoles has been absolutely shit for the past 10 years.

If you get the full Witcher 3 game and its DLC there's a tremendous amount of shit to do. And also a gorgeous landscape that I just like wandering in.

GTAV's story mode was extremely underwhelming for me, and much of the exploratory stuff stays locked until you complete a boring mission. The online aspect is neat if you have friends, but got very repetitive for me.

I play on pc with controller if the game fit more but I can use kb/m when playing shooters

GTA is shit, it's been reduced to ridiculous cashcow exploitation. It might be better with friends.

R6 is better, it's a miracle game that has so far retained a decent number of players despite ubisoft trying it's best to be incompetent and kill off their golden hen

Witcher is alright, it's DLC too

Fat chance dude it's been the flavor of the better part of the last 2 years. It just got a massive update and meta shift. The game is fantastic, just don't buy the Starter Edition.

The witcher 3 does have some problems with dodge>hit>dodge>hit against mobs of mooks, but a)you have enough options between your 5 spells and bombs and the skill tree that you can mix it up as you like, and b)it's first and foremost an rpg so you can always look forward to shiny new swords and armor for bigger numbers.

Fallout 2 was one of My favorite games of all time and I didn't want to miss out of the 4th one (I've finished all the previous ones, why miss out the one with actual decent gameplay?.....at least allegedly)


and same for Wildlands, I've been a huge fan of the rainbow six games since raven shield and Vegas, It only made sense to buy the open world version with TACTICOOL MULTIPLAYER ACTION

I'm sorry for the lack of knowledge but what's the starter edition ? just the regular disc ?

Didn't we just go over this man. It's Ghost Recon.

It's like a cheap version of the game that requires you to grind an insane amount of renown to get unlock characters.

I'm just saying I liked the rainbow six series, and both have Tom Clancy in their name which adds to some of the confusion.

to be fair I absolutely hated future soldier, which was the last ghost recon I've played
I loved the early one's though.

Siege is a fantastic multiplayer fps, every match plays differently because of how dynamic the destruction is. But it's not the same kind of game as the old R6 games.

Is there a way You can tell the version apart when browsing at a store ?
