Xbox One S Sold As Ultra HD Blu-ray Player In Japan

>The Bic Camera in Yurakucho, one of the biggest electronics stores in Tokyo, is selling the Xbox One S as first and foremost an Ultra HD Blu-ray player. The photos below were snapped by YouTuber Gaijin Hunter.

Now maybe Microsoft can sell more than two xbox one per month.

It's the PS2 marketing method all over again.

honestly that's a pretty good idea

How good is the Ultra HD Blu-ray playback on the Xbone S?

they should just partnered with square to place:
"ALSO PLAYS FFXV" in the front

That's what it practically says at the bottom.
>The Xbox One S plays games too

That's good marketing though. It's the only reason why you'd buy an XboneS rather than a PS4.

I'll never forget that week the 360 literally outsold the PS3 in Japan. It was because Tales of Vesperia came out. Now they struggle to sell even 70 Xbones a week there. Oh, how far they have fallen.

forgot the pic

It's a really nice BD player for that price, though. I also consider buying one solely for that purpose.

they should rebrand themselves in japan
instead of calling it xbox make it something japanese like neo blu ray maiden 3000 sensei

It works well. It has HDR support too.

>xbone
>ゲームもできちゃう
someone should sue that store for false advertising

Then a year later the PS3 version of Vesperia came out and blew the 360 sales for the game and console out of the water.

Who cares? Japan has been an irrelevant market for 15 years now.

The Xbox was never particularly big in Japan. In its lifespan it sold 1.59 million units. The Mega Drive (Japanese Genesis) sold twice as much as that and that's generally considered a failure in Japan.

i wish you edgy kids that can read japanese would translate stuff instead of keeping it in the circle jerk, like,i'm one of the few who knows english where i live, but still, whenever someone asks: can you talk english? i answer: english, and not some edgy faggit shit

Why the fuck doesn't the pro play 4k blu rays?

Sony didn't want to pay for the encoder chip

Because sony doesn't care about its customers, only its pockets

Just as good as an actual Ultra HD Blu-ray player, just costs $300 more.

>PS2 marketing campaign.jpg

those are just the same bunch of random engrish words chinks and nips put everywhere to make things look cooler in their eyes
they don't really mean anything

Sony is more popular, so they get to not give a shit about customers.

Because only idiots will buy the Pro, so they can get away with fucking them over.
