Literally unstopable
Literally unstopable
The thing I cannot understand about this game's popularity is it's one gamemode. ONE. SINGLE. GAMEMODE. King of the hill. That's it! Maybe I'm just old fashioned but that gets pretty fuckin boring after several hours. You're doing the same thing over and over and over with no change.
What is it about gamers today that keeps them coming back to a game like this?
the same reason why league of legends and dota have millions of concurrent users but they only play 1 map.
who gives a fuck? shut the fuck up about its popularity and just play the game or dont play the game or better talk about flaws it have and it has a fuck ton of them.
agreed too.
When I played TF2 i had like 98% of my time spent on 2fort or a mod'd version of it.
Video games are repetitive by nature, ya goober.
>4 top games are based on mods to other games
Is there something to be learned here?
le luck based casual shooter wher everyone gets some kills because of RNG
you have brain damage. well done
Yeah fans of video games generally come up with agreeable ideas regarding game design.
Kek you just suck at shooting games
What the fuck is this game and why did it suddenly become so popular?
>Shit Fortress on 7th place
Good grief let it die already.
Yes there is something to be learned.
Mods are by their nature, improvements on the base game. If you mod an already good game, you're gonna make a ton of money.
More than half that number are afk bots who farm currencies to open boxes and sell rare items on the market for hundreds dollars.
Game is still extremely popular but some people tend to forget that.
IT'S LE BOTS CONSPIRICY fuck off
This is a fact for every game where farming crates is a thing, TF2 for exemple.
Nothing is stopping people from earning steam money by literally logging into a game and you think they won't? You're funny.
>More than half that number are afk bots who farm currencies to open boxes
I don't see why you would farm currencies using bots in this game, since the amount of in-game cash you get per game depends on how well you do.
What I think is more likely is streamers getting their underaged fans to AFK in-game so they can drop in and get a ton of kills, thus increasing the amount of in-game currency they get when the game ends/they die.
Literally unstopabble.
Yes, all those games are shit and mods are created by entitled PC fats
I'm a bit surprised it's this popular, but I guess people like it.
So we'll have another decade of Battle Royale clones now, right?
Even if you earn 1 coin per game, if you let the game run for days you'll get a solid amount.
>What I think is more likely is streamers getting their underaged fans to AFK in-game so they can drop in and get a ton of kills
I don't know a single streamer going for AFK kills every game, or even more than twice a day (unless they're afk themselves), no idea where you saw that and that sounds boring to watch.
meanwhile...
>Le afk game for 30mins and set micro spam to W so u get to le circle
>Choose not to play
Chose 1 get the same resault.
>Even if you earn 1 coin per game, if you let the game run for days you'll get a solid amount.
You earn 0 coins if you die without any kills or hits, and IIRC you have to outlast at least 80% of all people in order to earn anything for your position.
>no idea where you saw that and that sounds boring to watch.
I've seen it happen multiple times, guys land with AFKs and kill like 20 people, often times they're killing their underaged fanboys.
>So we'll have another decade of Battle Royale clones now, right?
H1Z1, Arma, The Culling, Just Survive, Rust, Ark, Unturned, Islands of Nyne, (Minecraft,) Last Man Standing..
I could go on but you got my point, you're currently living the Battle Royale clone decade, and PUBG obviously won that war.
>The thing I cannot understand about this game's popularity is it's one gamemode. ONE. SINGLE. GAMEMODE. Capture the king. That's it! Maybe I'm just old fashioned but that gets pretty fuckin boring after several hours. You're doing the same thing over and over and over with no change.
>What is it about chess players today that keeps them coming back to a game like this?
Not him but chess has no aspect of randomness
I'm buying 10 crates today and so should you!
I don't get why. It's not a good game by any metric I can think of other than popularity.
Like, I get why people like Breath of the Wild, or Witcher 3, or Souls games, or weebshit. I get the appeal even if they don't appeal to me personally. PUB JEE I don't actually understand what the draw is
Dota at least has 100 viable different heroes.
Shut the fuck up shill
well you see, you get these coins, for loot boxes, in these boxes are rare drops. some so rare you could easily get over 200 dollars and so, by grinding not only are you playing but theres a chance to make some cash
When the game leaves early access, and every crate requires a key, what will be the point of pubg dollarydoos?
pvplive.com
Reminder: Crates are already next to worthless.
so lawbreakers failed to live up to the hype?
For those of us who actually have friends, it provides a great blend of shootan, and downtime to just shoot the shit and fuck around. Duo and squads are the best modes by far.
>all these people fell for early access meme
And same people wonder why games are getting just shittier.
I bet Bohemia is kicking themselves right now LOL.
even if he is a shill cant deny that pubg is the most played game atm
i like the game but hate at the same time, all it is is loot a whole bunch run to the circle and get sniped... like 30 mins of wasted time
But...with a squad if one of you gets picked off they get to sit there doing nothing and waiting for you guys to finish the rest of the game before they can do anything. In most shooters that's a time measured in 15 seconds to a minute. In PUB JEE it can be 10 minutes.
my understanding is most people queue solo anyway, so what you answered cant be the popular appeal reason, either
I sure hope you're having fun playing because that's got to be the worst possible way to make money.
The game is fun when you get into a legitimate firefight near the end in an area where its not just fucking trees and rocks. I've had like 9 way firefights going in the middle of Roz which were amazing moments in gaming.
Unfortunutely, the rest of this game is honestly kind of dogshit. It's only saving grace is the gunplay and the very beginning of matches where you have those good moments where you outplay some fuccboi with an AKM and punch him to death.
Typically games go like this
>spawn somewhere with good loot
>get a couple kills
>run around and don't see a soul for like another 20 mins
>snipe some guy like 400m away with whatever bullshit loot you got
>run around for another 5 mins into the last couple of circles
>get 1 shot killed from an AWM headshot
I wonder if PUBG is actually going to sell XBONEX
>my understanding is most people queue solo anyway
Your understanding is wrong.
>he doesn't know about the ocd generation
they had hype?
No, your understanding is wrong. I played a single game in the Asia region (solo) and was placed 1.8 million. I played a single game in NA (squad) and placed 250,000.
>Its popular therefore good
When did you fall for it? After you realize you were the "average" people?
>I played a single game in the Asia region (solo) and was placed 1.8 million. I played a single game in NA (squad) and placed 250,000.
So you're retarded?
>streamer bait
>cheap
>literally pick up and play
>has a rewards system that makes players stay
It's very consumer-friendly is what it is.
>popularity defines quality
Then I guess you think League of Legends is the best game ever made
>Any other game thread
>People talk about game play, story, characters, etc
>PUBG thread
>Player numbers!!!1111
I hope it continues to rise. If I could leave the game running in the background 24/7 without accruing recorded play time, I would do it in a heartbeat just to pad the numbers. Fuck Valve.
>inb4 "fuck valve! that's why I gave them money for this game!"
Not my money. I had it gifted to me. I would have never bought it and thus didn't give them any of my money. But I'm happy to help make them get fucked.
>50% of the players are AFK farming crates
hahahaha
truly Sup Forums was wrong and this is an extremely successful game from a korean F2P crapware developer and not just botters idling ;)
I'm gonna bet some dude bros already preordered the boneX just for PUBG
How viable is it to get steambucks from this game? Anyone just playing to make money?
How exactly would you crate farm? You have to kill people and get far to get coins and as far as I know that's the only way to get coins.
still not buying it though
Bought this game, have over 60 hours in it, have never actively played it.
Just go in AFK, wait to die, get in another match to get points, buy boxes and then sell them on the market.
>He thinks that Valve didn't get money because he was gifted the game
>1,067,682 players
I bought this game before it was popular and broke the astonishing 1M concurrent players bar! Look at meeee!
>post yfw you always believed in Playerunknown's awesomeness
> Sports have one single field! Imagine that! Hundreds of years of the same thing! How can these people enjoy this shit?
You just float in the air with your chute open and you get drops because you're counted as 'alive" during the match.
You don't actually need to kill anyone to get drops, this is why the concurrent players on steam keeps rising, people just set a macro an leave the game running overnight.
The entire game is just the latest idle farming simulator for steam, nobody actually plays it or enjoys it besides streamers.
Play 5 games/day and get average 1k coins for each game.
or
AFK for 50 games/day and get average of 300 coins for each game.
is this game actually fun at all? might pick it up if it goes for 15 bux or less
>tfw always play in squads with friends so even when we get top 5 or win we only get like 200-250 coins each
>You just float in the air with your chute open and you get drops because you're counted as 'alive" during the match.
I love when people try to talk about games they don't play.
Crates have depreciated in value so much that I dunno how it's worth it, especially when killing people and getting far does still give you more points per match
Unless you can buy the gamescome crates still
To be honest I wish I knew how to make macros because I have this game and hate it now and would like to get some sort of use from it
>Play 5 games/day and get average 1k coins for each game.
The only way you're doing that is if you get 6-7 kills and finish in the top 3.
>open inventory game lags for 5 seconds
>cant find anything other than shotgun and uzi while everyone has aks and m4s
Refunding this right away
love the graphics! what a great game!
>AFK for 50 games/day and get average of 300 coins for each game.
Finishing in the 90~ range, where most AFK likely would, won't net anywhere near 300 pubg dollarydoos. Your average is about 10x too high.
It's fun but repetitive as hell. I don't understand how people can play it for 10+ games in a row and not get bored as fuck.
Will this game run on a 760?
oof
Easy money: the game
>IT'S MORE POPULAR SO IT'S BETTER
I guess justin bieber is better than classical music then? you fucking retards.
You don't just AFK, you run a bot that drops into some remote location and stays in air as long as possible.
look at this buttblasted user, you angry you got tricked into playing this shit game because of the fake player count?
it's worth it because you can do it overnight when you normally wouldn't be playing
So you play your normal games, then you leave the game running when you're sleeping.
The entire game is a huge scam perpetuated by streamers and stupid anons who got tricked by steamers into "buying in" to the scam
It's literally a pyramid scheme
It's designed to run on Russian toasters so yes.
Wouldn't anti-cheat pick up on the bot?
PUBG doesn't have VAC and there's scripts that VAC cannot detect
>and get average of 300 coins for each game.
Try an average of 15 coins.
If that.
>korean ching chongs who make free2play shovelware knowing how to detect a simple macro
ahhahah
>streamerbait early access trash
>shit like this happens constantly due to shit netcode: oddshot.tv
>microtransactions in a $29.99 early access game
>games can be won with almost zero kills granted you camp and get lucky with the zone placement
>"""professional""" tournaments won by players with low single digit kills, see above
>paying customers banned because streamers have bitchfits after every death
>paying customers banned for using car horns
>paying customers banned for playing a glitchy, bug ridden game: youtube.com
>devs literally getting PTSD from tweets
>PUBGfags only defense of these points is "b-but look at the playercount" and wojack images depicting Sup Forums as upset
The sad thing is at least 200,000 of that 1 million are bots to farm drops.
wew
PUBG has over 100 viable memes and over 100 different ways to get banned because of streamers. Checkmate.
The bot doesn't need to do any advanced stuff like walk into a building or shoot. It just detects when the plane is in air from the sound it makes and then presses the drop key after X seconds. This makes it almost impossible to detect since it doesn't need to access the game's memory etc like more advanced bots do.
This is why is popular, simple and no objectives "capture this", designed for easy twithc streamings for normie pleasure; look all those massive influx of Batlegrounds threads, we are angry.
So, how would it run on my i3, r9 270 toaster?
I've been putting off getting this because of my crappy specs.
>something good can't be popular
Any tutorials out there on how to make a basic crate farming bot for this game? I don't play it anymore and I want the free money.
I'm sure all those are players, let's aim for the 2 million concurrent and jerk off to our favorite streamers
If you just AFK and AFK drop each time so you get killed in first 30sec of the match then you will get shit, but If you have at least two brain cells then you will run a script that randomly drops you so you will live much longer and get much better rewards.
>>"Not my money."
Even if you live longer with no kills or hits you'll be lucky to get 50 coins.
You will never get anywhere near 300 coins without any kill or hit points.
>the game is SUPER popular guys! haha Sup Forums got blown out for not listening to the popular twitch streamers and buying the game!
Meanwhile in the game 2/3 of the players are bots hiding in the ocean
I dont see that is wrong here
How do they not drown?
They do eventually.
