WHAT THE FUCK DO I DO UNTIL IT COMES OUT??

Sit in these threads and think about what you want to play as on your 1st, 2nd and 3rd playthrough.

>Scottish dwarf
Wow how creative. Can't wait for the British Elf tomorrow.

PLAY DIVINE DIVINITY!!

shame his beard isn't animated

I want to be an ice wizard skeleton thing so bad.

Asked in the last thread but

Since knights are a bit fragile but do good damage, would it be good to level one with poly or geo for a bit more surviveability? Likewise, don't they have heavy armour, so shouldn't they be a bit more heavy and harder to kill?

im going to make my knight have frost armor since heavy armor gives lots of physical armor, but no magic armor

he will also carry magical armor potions

those should be enough to get you through most things.

How is the combat system there? Is the turn base?

> Likewise could I combine with poly, geo,or metamorph like said for a bit more survivability?
You could. Like I said you can do whatever the fuck you want. I'm only talking about how the preset is.

And yes they wear heavy armour due to having high str, but none of that changes the fact it's a melee character who is going to be right in the fold under rains of necrofire and whatever else you can imagine and won't have a shield. Shields in this game give you a LOT of armor. More than chest armors. Plus they also let you regenerate armor.

You could argue a thief is even more fragile in the sense of also being a melee with worse armor and resistances but a thief is more of an in and out kind of character with plenty of tools to get the fuck out instead of standing right in the middle of everyone.

I leveled necro + leech, since blood flow has been increased in the game there's blood everywhere and it helps surviving.
For mobility you have already the ram ability

I had my MC as Warfare Metamorph my last playthrough with 2h axe / mace. I was hitting for around 50-80 a swing. As long as your team can back you up properly, or teleport enemies to you for max AP bashing, it's a great addition.

Play DivOS:EE.
Doing that right now with epic encounters. Interesting mod. Getting wrecked a lot even on classic mode.

Stop using the same copypaste OP, at this right we might as well actually migrate to /vg/ and die within two weeks like /divg/ did after DOS1's launch

Main material right here, still haven't decided if I should use dual wield melee or 2h though

Sadly, no, it's like Diablo 2, but everything else is great, even better than OS 1.

FeelsBadMan

I hate mindlessly spamming abilities

...

Exactly what imma go for ty user

how much of a difference does each starting class make then if you can just level up and get pretty much anything?
sorry for dumb question, new to game and series

Alright, I won't copy paste, I'll just use the title next time no worries.

How many playthroughs are you guys planning on doing?

You can modify the preset even at the character creation. The preset is only more of a guideline. If you want to make your knight have polymorph right at the character creation you can.

To answer your question, they make 0 difference aside from determining what kind of gear your character will start with. Aside from this, everything else can be customized. You can make a wizard with +2 strength if you want. The preset is more for people who don't know what they are doing.

So are you guys gonna go premade characters or make a custom character?

Any of you guys stop by the PAX West booth? I probably talked to you then.

Larian devs are pretty cool people,

For your MC, you can fully customize everything. Preset classes only affect your recruits in Fort Joy. Like, if you recruit Red Prince and tell him to be a Wizard, he'll be the Wizard preset you see at the creation screen and you cannot customize him.

Custom

>Lohse's accent
I was honestly expecting a cockney accent, kind of glad they didn't go with it, but she kind of sounds a bit too normal now

Should I be customising my starting characters or is the base classes okay?

Gonna do Witch + Knight

I heard that after the island, you get to respec everyone anyway.

dumb eder poster

>How many playthroughs are you guys planning on doing?
3 to start, a solo run, a duo run, and a 4 man
but the 4 man probably won't last that long so I'll be doing multiple solo runs anyway

Rumor is that is in Act 2. You still have to suffer around 8-10 level ups of shit characters if you don't plan properly.

It's really up to you honestly.

BEAST REVEALED

youtube.com/watch?v=vBrWn2hMiWo&feature=youtu.be

BEAST REVEALED

Customize as much as you want. The game encourages you to experiment.

I did a battlemage in the first game. I found some pretty nice shields and ended up being a tanky motherfucker that could blow everything up with fireballs.

>can play every race as undead
my dick has never been so hard my fucking god.

>Red prince
>Expect hard ass warrior king lizard who got outcast acuse poltitics
>Get nancy boy pussy faggot who got scared away cause he was sucking demon cock

Similar, in my second playthrough Lohse started as a cleric but then midway through she just dropped the shield and became more of a mix between a paladin and a druid with a huge two handed hammer, plenty of heal skills and polymorph.

It's such a small thing that not too many people would have complained about if it wasn't there, but I'm so fucking glad I can be a skellizard.

So people were talking about how the gods talk to your character and tell you to kill other characters?

Is that a newer feature? I played an early EA build, before the beginning on the the ship was added.

That might have been Sebille who hears voices in her head. It's her own story thing though.

You know what to do boyo.

He's pompous asshole that's been clear from the very beginning

...

Nah the gods really talk to your character and tell you all your friends are rival and you need to beware because only one can succeed.

Right afterwards they literally tell you to kill one of them.

is the combat balanced yet? i remember DOS1 casters were the only thing worth playing and melee was weak to the point of being a detriment

WHat do you think of Beast?

I played with Sebille and the elf god told me to kill Lohse because she is just trouble and I should get rid of her ASAP.

Every god for every character tells you to kill Lohse except of course for when you are playing Lohse.

What happens if you make a custom character? Does your god change depending on your race?

a hink hes well sound n seems like a decent cunt if ye ken wit am geeing it like ae

Scoundrel are ok, warfare is weak as fuck if you don't build the team around comboing with him.

In myth Dagda is big bearded bastard who is so virile female goddesses give him favours in return for sex. SMT must be running out of gods if they needed to use the name for a guy with Skeletor's appearance and a "Pssh nothing personal" 'tude.

I remember two shotting the final boss of DOS1 with my 2h Madora, while my mages served as buff/debuff machines for the part.

By any chance are you the person who also complained the lizards don't live in mud huts?

Most of the gods say to kill Lohse if I recall correctly

red pill me on co op for the new game
>can you just start off in local co op and create your characters and spawn in the tutorial area?
>for local can one player use kbm and the other one uses a controller?
>is the game more difficult or easy on co op

legit wanna buy this cos it looks like something me and my gf would enjoy but I'm worried the local play isn't as good as there selling

>Does your god change depending on your race?
Ya

depending on your weapon they can be a lot stronger and do a lot more damage than casters. they added a ton of gap closers which helps a lot, if you intend on player a melee I'd recommend getting the talent that lowers the effect of statuses to one turn.

>only good game devs these days are non-US/anglo shits

Beast seems like a bro so far, from the limited interaction we've had on ship and now his origin reveal. Will Beast+Ifan be the bro-tier combo?

Also, what schools synergize well with Necromancy? I want to take it on my skelly to have some reliable form of healing, but I can't really figure out what to take with it. I was considering warfare/scoundrel because a lot of the necromancy spells go against the physical armour shield, but I'm not sure if the spells will change to scale from str/dex or if they'll still scale from int, which isn't optimal.

>Redpill

Keep making characters in early access and try out different builds.

Take your weeaboo trash elsewhere. Jap devs need to stop ruining Irish gods,

yes
yes
depends on skill level and patience. I never bother with co-op because the other guys always fuck around and waste time.

I just read there will be mod support. I had no idea. Do we know if there will be steam workshop or some kind of mod API?

Also, can you play online coop with the GOG Pirated version together with a legal steam copy?
The game looks sick but blowing 50 bucks on it on relase it's hard for me, but possible.
Is the gameplay of D:OS1 like the one in 2 so I can pirate the first one to get a proper idea?

the whole point of dagda in smt4a is that he used to be a big swinging dick god who lost all his power and followers when YHVH took over so he got bitter about it and eventually used his powers to beef up some random punk to raise some hell and fuck with YHVH

>i remember DOS1 casters were the only thing worth playing and melee was weak to the point of being a detriment
I'm guessing you never got very far in the game then. 2H melee was the strongest build in the game. By late game, melee becomes your chief damage dealer, while magic gets reduced to utility and control.

Everyone is bro-tier so far except for Sebille and whatever is in Lohse's head. I am going to play as Sebille just to make sure she doesnt backstab me throughout the campaign if I dont control her. I am killing her on our first encounter on any other playthrough.

So, where do I get the game? Is there any difference or upside to buying it on steam vs GoG, or vice versa?

Elven armor looks like ass.

Elves look like ass. At least the living ones.

Game comes with LAN play. I know, ridiculous for our current year but it means you will be able to play with pirated copies even if it uses official servers or steamservers.

Yeah full steam workshop, custom campaign and much more, apperantly it's a pretty big deal this time around

and idk about the gog version, check their faq

If you buy at steam at least you can use the steamworkshop but lets be real, that's not a real difference.

>The Beast is directly related to the Empress
God dammit. Now I'm second guessing playing a custom female dwarf. I really feel like I'm going to be missing a fuckton if I don't play an origin character.

GoG can be cheaper depending on the country you live in. Otherwise there's no difference(multiplayer might be easier on steam idk).

GoG and pirated might work.

Doesn't Sebille warm up to you eventually though?

>Playing elves in the first place
What's wrong with you?

I want to impregnate that lizard

You will be playing this game more than once anyway. Besides, if the modding community takes off and we get storylines, custom campaigns and shit you will have plenty of space to try everything.

At least elves have their own culture. Lizards are just humans with scales.

elves have the best animations.

>don't want to support steam
>but might miss out some steam workshop mods if I buy it on gog

I dont really care I hate uppity sluts. There is no way I ever bitch it out an ask someone who is trying to kill me to be my friend and join me, especially not some female elf bitch.

Nigga that's Sebille not my character.

The original released the entire game engine tools, so you could mod and create whatever you want.

However, it was structured for modules, not modifications - meaning you could only load one mod at a time. If you wanted to add [new content city] with [slight ability modifications] you would need to manually do both within one mod since you couldn't load two.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong here, but by EE, this was changed to do "major" and "minor" mods. You could load only one major mod, but you could add additional minor mods as desired.

>LAN play
Jokes on you any dev who still puts that in their games is good in my book. Aswell as couch-play.

No idea on Steam x Pirated GOG? It's not that I don't like GOG but I prefer to have it all together rather than juggling around. Wish steam wasn't such a shitty client, tho.

>At least elves have their own culture
Nigger cannibals isn't culture.

I liked knight, easy sustain

>YOU CAN PLAY A LIZARD
>YOU CAN PLAY AN UNDEAD LIZARD
>YOU CAN PLAY A FEMALE UNDEAD LIZARD

boy I'm fucking sold, I dont even know half of the features

She does. Hell, she even allows you to touch her by the time you leave fort joy.

Absolutely, I miss LAN in modern games.

>to touch her
E-elaborate

This is what i worry about to be honest. Someone with time and will should start asking around in different communities (forum, reddit, etc) to modders to avoid steam workshop and go for the more open platforms like nexus.

You put your hand on her shoulder.

Can I put my dick inside of her though?

This is a blue board holy fuck delete this. Doesnt she straight-up lick you on the ship, though? Seems odd she will give a shit about you touching her shoulder.
