Which games feature fun support characters?

Which games feature fun support characters?

A little game i like to call heroes of the storm

It is hard to get into like league of legends or easier?

please elaborate on the support aspect

define support

Grover and mal damba are far more fun.

It's pretty easy to get into. There are various support characters in the game who can buff, debuff, stun, help lane push, and help positioning. The overall mechanics are pretty easy to get, but knowing what talents work best against which characters help out.

...

healers basically

This and Sharla

>Sharla
>Fun

oh, then none
people will always blame healers for their own failures

>Grover
>fun
Probably the most boring

>Sharla

>support
>your role is to assist retards

not fun

oh yeah not all supports do heals in heroes

>sniping with axes
>not fun

>shooting people with your own semen
>lifting them to see under their skirts
>hovering no to touch the same ground as those filthy peasants
>kamehameha ulti
10/10 support.

Dirty Bomb

Mercy is a support fun to play, a very intensive and hardcore support easy to play but very hard to master, she's very engaging :)
overwatch character btw if you wanna play her

she is dogshit boring ,sadly zen is bad and lucio is dodge bullets simulator

this bitch is too much fun to play as

>army of clones wipes the point
All supports are kinda fun in Paladins imo

Awesomenauts

>a whole 1000 damage per clone set

>people that exploder their clones instead of letting they heal
There's an special type of hell for you.

Seris is literally perfect

>it's another "crossboards from /vg/ come to shill their game" episode

>it's another video game thread on Sup Forums
When is that going to be a bannable offense?

who /support/ here

>destroys waves
>destroys towers
>destroys carries

>not knowing when your clones are about to expire and when it's time for them to go kaboom
Pleb, play some more.

Sorry, I don't play second rate supports.

...

WOW IS THIS THE NEW TEAM BASED COMPETITIVE MULTI PLAYER SHOOTER WITH TWO SIDES AND HEROES?

HAHA WOW SICK!

HAHA WOW CANT WAIT TO PLAY NIGGERMAN600 WITH HIS ABILITY "SEMEN SUCKING 500 RAPE THE FAGS" HAHA WOW WHOA

Not just healers, but (de)buff bitches as well. People designed to make everyone else better.

I actually don't like Ying that much, she doesn't have a lot going on. Mal'Damba is cool but I suck shit at him.

HONESTLY? I really enjoyed Reyna from Battleborn when I played during the beta. She wasn't just a healslut, she set shields sort of like Zarya, only the shields lasted longer than one eighth of a second.

Man dawngate had such good characters.

HotS and this guy.

git gud

Came here to post this. This right here is how a monk should play.

Dawngate was the only moba in existence where everyone wanted to be support and nobody wanted to be the carry.

>make it so that """supports""" earn just as much gold as the people they're supporting by deathmatching/poking and ignoring everything else

not Vadasi tho. Support Aisling is also fun but you miss out on those jump attacks.

That's because all the carries were boring.
Meanwhile support had Renzo, Desecrator, fucking Cerulean. Why WOULDN'T you play support?

Dawngate died way too young.
It had its ideas fucking down.

Carry and support in its traditional dota meaning is stupid. It doesn't work because support isnt nearly as fun or rewarding.

Making everyone work the same in terms of "Gold" and "Level" gain, but some heroes are dedicated to damage and others are dedicated to buffing and debuffing or disabling etc. makes so much more sense

Battlefield 3 and 4

>that tum

>Not playing Grohk
>Deniying yourself the opportunity to be THE thunder god AND be green at the same time
>Not cancelling BK's bullshit stun, Torvald's Kamehameha, Zhin's Final Smash and Seris thingy
>Also doing insane Overtime, allowing your teammates to respawn and come to finish the push and/or annoy the fuck outta the enemy team

Grohk is love, Grohk is life.

Clutch champ for baddies, Damba is objectively better.

*shots you totem*
heh...nothing personnel.

i agree
the overwatch team should release 2 hero/month like paladins used to because they're seriously lacking in interesting character.

Stukov is pretty fun once you unlock the talent that spreads your HoT indefinitely

I recon maldamba is probably better at some situations, but grohk is fun and I have only seen him used like 3 times in comp (Im level 90)

Grohk is a damage dealer with some sustain, compare him with Soldier from OW.

Oh man hots was great, seriously too bad they didn't listen to the pros at beginning and didn't start making character faster enough. A moba with a pitiful roster is unacceptable. They're doing it but seriously seeing all those promos with OW and shit it seems like it's not going good for them..
the same is going to happens to overwatch i believe. Just like Smite is to Hots (better and more populars), how surprising would it be if paladins has a better competitive environment than it? And it's happening, OWL league is so cancerous while the paladins league is actually going really well, like the team that retired from the OW league actually have one in the paladins league, it's insane. OW competitive future is very unsafe atm.

Mal Damba > Ghrok > Grover > Jenos > Ying > Seris > Pip
In terms of fun to play.

Pretty sure HotS is doing better than Overwatch by now lmao
Overwatch is so fucking dried up its not even funny, meanwhile HotS has had a pretty decent release schedule and a big re-launch event. Chests are way more lucrative than in Overwatch too. Its doing pretty well right now, for what it is, so no harm in picking it up again.

I really liked the idea of Beatrix in Battleborn since she's a support that doesn't necessarily heal, I wish games could come up with more "supports" that actually support in other ways than simply healing.

We're gonna start getting alot fewer champs now
IIRC they wanted to get to 38 by the end of the year and after that it'll be even slower.

Yeah Pip is ass, he is supposed to play like a flanker but his cooldown is too long for that shit.

Grohk is great if there's a Ying on the opposing team, because her illusions are an easy conduit for shock pulses

Mal damba is such a great character, at first I didn't like him at all, not only he looked kind goofy he felt too weak and weird to play, but with time he became one of my favorites characters in any game, it's incredible how much he rewards player skill and mastery.

Medivh is pretty much a support that relies solely on utility and well timed invulnerability-shields, not a single heal in his kit. He's so finicky to play that he's classified as a "specialist" even though he's obviously a supporter.

>Pip
>Not fun
All they have to do is let him heal during Weightless and keep the camera in first person during.

Step into the light

it's 1 champ a month now, really it's still very fast. I haven't seen how much is the time between new gods in smite but honestly at this point when you have more than 50-60 character it's okay to slow it down a little, but it's normal in a MOBA to expect a tons of playable character to have huge counterplay potential to any meta, like if X character is unpicked maybe Y meta will rise and X character will be found out and picked against this one creating a dynamic meta as character that counter it are being experimented by the community.
i also say that because i FUCKING HATE MIRROR MATCH REEEEE THERE'S TOO MUCH MIRROR MATCH IN OVERWATCH IT IS MAKING ME CRAZY I HATE PLAYING AGAINST MY OWN CLONES IT'S BORING WINSTON VS WINSTON IS TERRIBLY BORING STOP IT

Sometimes I wonder how good HotS actually is. I'm kinda tired of Dota's bland cast of heroes, are HotS's heroes better at being more diverse?

Battleborn is fucking dead, I literally can only play with bots.

Same with Barik, those fuckers will get zapped by the lightning chad

>Zen is bad
Maybe if you can't aim for shit. He has one of the highest DPS in the game.

Fine I'll say it
YING GOT SOME BIG TITS WHERE ARE THE GOOD SFM/BLENDER ANIMATION
there i said it

This is now a Paladins thread

damb is alright, but you can just spam dem seris orbs down a hallway to keep faggots at bay

also i love her soul charge shit, exploding an enemy to get extra health or to stun them is amazing

>are HotS's heroes better at being more diverse?
Well I haven't played Dota myself but I can say that HotS has really interesting and fun heroes.

At the danger of being called a shill; HotS is still HotS, the playstyle and gamefeel is still the same as it always was, more about planning and strategy and less about clutch excecution and adrenaline rushes. But once you get used to it you'll start appreciating the gameplay more. Its not really worse than anything, just completely different design philosophy, so I don't know how well you'll transition.

Strix is going to be nerfed to shit next patch. Goddammit Low-Rez.

there's a hots character that requires two players to play. One player controls the movement, the other is a turret.

Damba has a stun on demand with almost zero downtime.

I WANT TO GET STEPPED ON AND HUMILIATED BY LIAN.

>tfw I'm better at her than Grover, but she still reminds me of an ex with the exact same body type right down to the insane hips

I build Dagon on every support I play and I'm convinced it's the only way to play the game.

>3 nerf and still going strong
So this is what it feels like to be a god.

sure but it has limited range

meanwhile seris could stun someone from across the map as long as they have 4 soul charges on them

*BRRRAAAP*
Smell it nasty little vermin!

>support character is just the pipe in the cog that makes the enemy team suffer

Who's the best tank in Paladins and why is it Ash?

Why does he use the warframe symbol?

>lifting some dirty flank shitter in the air and watching them get blown out of the sky

Rubick is the most fun character I've played in any moba.Shame he was pretty overshadowed by the other supports when I quit dota

Heroes of the Storm is a love it or hate it flavor but I appreciate that they have heroes who specialize in MAD PUSHING and if your team plays around it and you're decent(i.e. you help when the team fights matter and don't get distracted pushing/mercing or get picked off a lot) you're a good slot. And don't start with Abathur, he is a very challenging acquired taste.

Garden Warfare

>could stun someone from across the map as long as they have 4 soul charges on them
Sounds very situational, damba with a stunbuild can even be used to shut down ults on reaction.

You are subhuman trash who will never fulfill your goals.

amen brother

Grover is MY tree my dudes. He's.. so.. damn.. fun to play. Like, when i was a noob i was thinking "geez he's only a spam your axes character" but then i finally used the vines and discovered the path to fun. A mobile as fuck character where vertical height count for his damage scaling that can outsnipe Kinessa and Strix a root that can fuck with anyone even if they have resilience, the stop is enough to put them at a disadvantage with the three hundred HP damage that also gives me a speed boost with a my deck, decent heals to not wait for the aftercombat heal to pop in that happens to heal your teammate but get shit on by cauterize but it's okay because you can vines away and heal without cauterize on you.
not only that, but he's a tree throwing fucking axe, as if he was saying "TAKE YOUR DAMN AXE OFF MY FRIEND YOU ASSHOLE" i thought it was wrong for him to throw axe and incoherent but now i see it more like him killing his enemy with their own weapons, hence the vines on the axe too.

*PRRRRRRT*
Enjoying the smell you little swine?

>support fill picks Jenos or Pip
>immediately pick a support myself

I dunno what it is but those two never fucking heal their team

>

The tree really is the best sniper.

Jenos has shit healing and people think Pip is a flank.

NO ONE ESCAPES ALLAH

>Jenos has shit healing
Lol check out this silly man.
