this game has an appropriate amount of orange.
At least it was before onii-chan fucked everything up.
At least it was until they fucked everythang up
>1/3 is a city
>2/3 is vast land of nothingness
>not a single interior besides the 3 protag houses
how can Rockstar fuck things up like this??
It had to be on consoles with 256mb of ram
such an awful map
But that's a lie you idiot?
I liked driving through the Highways of Las Venturas, comfy af, the highways everywhere else in the map felt retarded.
Is this an actual mod?
clearly it is since they posted a webm of it
there are literally thousands of anime mods for San Andreas
No dude, its actually in the game!
5 has more unique locations than San Andreas though.
And having one large city is better than three small ones.
Post those insane Brazilian mod videos please. They're absolutely amazing.
>And having one large city is better than three small ones.
why?
Because I wanna feel like I'm in a big city.
>5 has more unique locations than San Andreas though.
Care to elaborate?
San Andreas has
>3 cities
>10 towns
>2 ghost towns
>2 military bases
along with numerous other points of interest
GTA V has
>1 city
>3 towns
>1 military base
>mobile
>modded
>gta sa
>that framerate
You know whats great about San Andreas map, is that you could actually expect to be rewarded for exploring, hidden weapons, rare cars, collectables. Sure V is bigger and has about the same amount of collectables and stuff but there is so many empty areas it just makes exploring for anything a pain, you could spend hours searching an area and not find anything of interest.
It's not going to feel like a big city regardless unless it's actually as big as a real city.
What are some essential mods for San Andreas?
UMA
Then the Fire Nation attacked.
Silky smooth 7 FPS. the true sony experience
>its another episode of lets waste half the map on water and mountains
fucking bethesda tier laziness
You can rob some convenience stores in singleplayer, but not all of them.
...
why does it look so much like oblivion

This map is honestly fucking terrible. Idk how people are expected to think a tiny ass island with LA stapled to it is an accurate representation of california.
user
Why would a human being do this?
>losers click here
Y'all niggas ain't seen nothing yet
youtube.com
Rockstar was really ahead of the curve.
Why is he yelling and talking so fast? I'm worried.
This, I don't really think I'm in a city when I'm in Los Santos because I know I can get from one end to the other in a minute or two. It feels like being in a scale model of a city.
>all those pop ins
Just
>brazil mod
>makes CJ white
What did they mean by this?

UMA
I'm surprised anyone managed to last that long watching that video.
>those grafix
holy shit did somebody make san andreas in minecraft or somthing?
The maps in San Andreas and GTAV is the perfect argument of realism not being better than fun
Which blows my mind that Rockstar made a game like this on PS360. Talk about efficiency.
>did somebody make san andreas in minecraft or somthing
Mostly just Los Santos before they quit
youtube.com
>Project2DFX
beautiful
>that draw distance
>that pop in
Imagine having a computer that's so shit that it cannot render a 16x16 pixel texture
Back in 2008 (when Lans still were popular in Brazil) you could walk to EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM and watch a mongrel play SA @15fps on a greasy keyboard shining like a motherfucker.
Shirtless, wearing the cheapest sandals their parents could buy. It was either GTA:SA or CS 1.6.
Sounds absolutely horrifying.
how don't u remember that part of the game?
thats was me.
And then completing side missions would add rare weapon and vehicle spawns to the map as a reward. In V, you get jack shit.
>map is actually tiny as fuck compared to GTA 5 for example
>but it feels huge when you're playing it
how's that possible?
It was funny as fuck dude, kids that were at best 11-12 years old killing people and stuff, sweating in a dark lan house playing on keyboards full of crumbs and grease.
I'm sure they had to beg hours and hours for the money to play 30 minutes of GTA:SA.
It had very short view distance.
More dense with more points of interest ()
Draw distance only showing you 1/10 of the map at a time
Map geometry designed to obscure long-distance view even without the short draw distance
R* used a lot of tricks to make the map seem bigger than it really was.
>more points of interest
Lol not even close
>buh buh but it has a dozen identical one street towns!
Yeah big deal. The only point of interest in SA that has no equivalent in 5 is the geyser place and the olden times ghost town while 5 is full of cool places like pic related that has nothing similar in SA
retards
You asked a retarded question.
I dare say they use those same tricks in 5 and that's partially the reason why its map sucked, a lot of land is given over to fingers at the foot of all the mountains with only winding roads between them, the mountain range on the north east coast of the map could've had a small town on it, and they could have made the most northern town San Fierro instead of the backwater that we got.
Is that Civcity Rome? Damn, it must have been more than a decade since i played that.
That's just scenery and easter egg bait
People love to shit on GTA V but it's pretty comfy imo.
It's only Sup Forums and Sup Forums isn't people
The first games developed that gen were like rocks in a cup, by the time GTA V came at the end, they were filling the cup with sand, or however that analogy went.
yea it's pretty comfy, but holy shit the singleplayer is disappointing
i wont play as one of the negro
>fucking nothing to do for most of the map
>collectibles are fucking nothing
San Andreas has really good atmosphere and made use of all locations in it's map during the story. V's problem was it didn't all of it's environment in the story. You're either driving to and from the same place through out the game in V.
Well yeah the campaign is dissapoiting as hell but I usually only play the game to fuck around and it's pretty fun, especially when you're in the countryside.
Well, a square archipielago with LA, San Francisco and Las Vegas, with a sudden desert separating them is pretty unrealistic too
its asscreed brotherhood
Yeah that was stupid too. At least they had hardware limitations as an excuse.
I've never heard of that analogy before, but I get what you mean. Which is completely true, but it still doesn't change that they made probably one of the most detailed open worlds for PS360 even if in comparison to SA's world of what to do was basically an empty cup.
GTAO, which they dropped PS360 like a year or two ago due to memory limitations most likely, was seemed like a remedy it all early on. In the end they realized that children are dumb and will beg for that new $50 car.
CJ's entire arc in San Andreas revolved around stop being a gang banger and start making something of himself. He went from hood nigga to entrepreneur over the course of the story. This is better shown when he starts leading the missions, planning things out, and calling the shots by the time he returns to Los Santos, while Sweet is still an ignorant gang banger and Smoke becomes a drug baron with grand delusions of being a businessman.
no that looks like AC brotherhood
Off the top of my head SA had the ghost lake, and the airplane graveyard. That one from V is the only noteworthy
What if they did a map with the urban landscape of IV with the map size of V?
NEVER EVER
Are you saying modern consoles don't have limitations?
I do like some aspects of V's map, it has some nice attention to detail and some neat areas here and there, but with exceptions there's too much unused space north of Los Santos. In single player you have a few missions around shady sands with Trevor, a single heist that takes place in the otherwise unused northernmost town, and everything else is just mountain or rugged terrain, there really needed to be a more significant town or city to the north that had relevance in the main story.
Even in GTA:O there's not much reason to go that far out of Los Santos unless a mission is sending you out there.
If that happened, then we would've gotten Liberty City's answer to Lower Hudson Valley, and Long Island added to the game.
Well in GTAO I go there to avoid getting blown the fuck up, but them putting bunkers and shit out there fucked that up.
Plus I like driving out there, but in terms of real shit yeah it's pretty fucking barren sadly.
>remake san andreas with more mountains and desert
>don't remake vice city with everglades
>ghost lake
the what now?
>airplane graveyard
There's no dedicated airplane graveyard sure, but there is a junkyard with a wrecked airplane not to mention several crashed airplanes in the ocean
That would be awesome if Rockstar did an MMO with a massive GTA map that combines all the maps of previous games beefed up to modern graphics.
I would have bought GTA if it was this.
Considering every building in a GTA city is unique where other devs just copypaste a handful of building to fill their towns it would take a fucking decade to make a city as large as the entire GTA V map.
You actually want a map that's half swamp?
GTA V alone is like 80GB, a GTA game with a map this big would probably go for about 400GB or more.
>all them fucking highways to blast down
>All those cities to reak havoc in
>Proper fucking deserts
>Swaps in Vice City
I'd be erect if we got anything half this cool.
>Every building is unique
Strong citations required. And even ignoring that, you can't even enter 99% of the buildings in GTA.
>Colonel Sanders north east of Las Venturas
Considering that everyone never seems to stray from the city anyways, a megapolis will probably be in the next game.
No it wouldn't, stupid underage.
