Saw the early concepts of Prime 4 this morning. Do not believe anything Nintendo publicly releases about this game.
The current title for the game I saw was Apnova: Metroid.
From what I understand, the game will market itself as a traditional Metroid Prime game, but instead turn around and actually be a game centered around playing as Sylux. This is intended to launch a new side franchise centered around the character, dropping the Metroid branding for any future sequels.
To not have massive backlash, Nintendo intends to have a playable Samus campaign using a similar or same map, but not part of the main story. She will still play a major role in the main game, however.
Sylux looks like he's going to play very differently to how Samus typically does. Concept art shows him vaulting over walls, sprinting, and overall being much more dynamic than what a Prime fan might expect.
That's all I got. Keep in mind it's still VERY early in development. I just wanted this to be a PSA to not trust Nintendo when it comes to advertising this game.
