I still feel there might be a need for one that includes interviews, pause screens and the like, but this at least should keep this stuff safe and accessible after they kill miiverse, the format is also quite nice and easier to read chronologically than having to go through the miiverse account in reverse order and mixed with all the multi-language duplicates, and they kept not just the images but also the mii's reaction, I didn't even think of that.

I'm really disappointed they didn't keep miiverse, it feels like it was done out of trying to put up a tougher image to keep up with the competition, but it made for a lot of silly fun only Nintendo would think of providing. Now Splatoon 2 has to have its own replacement because it was such a fan favorite feature.
I guess the strategy payed off since the switch isn't treated like a kids toy, but it feels sterilized compared to previous consoles. No fun allowed in the UI, no built-in apps, no pack-in game, miis probably only survived out of legacy and microsoft still having their clones around, but even then they offer generic avatars.

Its a bit divisive since Canvas Curse has some very devoted fans, but I think it was on par, at the very least worth a play
It lacks copy abilities but I don't think that's an issue, as the game and levels are designed around the base skillset and star dashes. The game flow actually ends up being quite different than Canvas Curse, there's no tapping enemies/hazards of any kind and levels never get too open ended or require switches across different stages, but with the big Wii U touchscreen it can rely more on precise maneuvering for challenges and actual bosses, the timed challenges you find in stages and unlock are pretty fun.
I had fun with the gimmick sections but they do take up a big portion of the already limited level selection, so that may or may not be a problem depending on how much you enjoy them, but I don't mind it being a shorter experience when each level is so jam packed and unique, and it was priced accordingly (40 instead of 60 IIRC)
