Project Diva Future Tone DX is basically a full package of the previously released digital only Project Diva Future Tone.
So far 2 new songs and 2 new modules have been confirmed. Here's a trailer for the game. The standard edition will launch at 7,990 yen (about $73) and the limited edition will launch at 11,990 yen (about $110). People who already own the base version of Future Tone will have the option to upgrade to Future Tone DX as DLC. Here's a trailer.
I don't know if it's the same for you but when I first started out I realized I was mashing pretty hard whenever I tried. I'd try working on holding a steady pace while using the dpad and face buttons simultaneously.
Zachary Evans
Would Sega be crazy enough to release this is the west? I don't wanna get fucked like I did with buying the japanese version of Future Tone only to get localized half a year later.
Leo Sanders
Unknown Mother Goose and Diva X songs DLC when?
Liam Wright
>$70 for 2 songs and 2 modules >base game costs $54 with almost 240 songs with a crap ton of modules Give me 39 good reasons why i should buy this
Nathaniel Lewis
Start with low bpm songs and alternate consistently, once you're comfortable move to faster songs.
Nathaniel Jones
The first reason would be you don't own future tone yet. The second reason would be that it's the first physical version of the game, if youw ant to have it on your shelf then there it is. And the third one is that the JP prices are always higher than the western prices which means it will be like $60 if it ever comes to the west.
Brandon Clark
Isn't the DX version going to also be a digital upgrade for people who already have the original?
Connor Cox
I don't? Then what did I buy then?
Zachary Mitchell
Yes.
Jace King
>Give me 39 good reasons >The first reason would be I don't know your circumstances so I gave you a general reason why you should buy the physical version. If you already have the game then this reason does not apply to you.
Mason Long
39 was the joke
Austin Fisher
Tried it, but apparently I mash too fast. Guess I'll do as recommended and practice on something like, say, Thousand Year Solo or Double Lariat.
Zachary Hill
Got back from Magical Mirai last week. First time I went to Japan. How am I supposed to live normally again?
Thomas Adams
Luka was a mistake
Hudson Bailey
You don't
Nathan Gonzalez
No fuck you Meiko should have been aborted
Josiah Hall
Buyfaggotry of course.
You'll also need to work on having a good grip on the controller for long spams.
Blake Campbell
>look up highest rated games on PSN >project diva 2 is in the top 5 >decide to buy it This is by far one of the worst, if not the worst game I've ever played. How does this shit even qualify as a game? They literally put a QTE over short anime videos and you just press buttons. There's also only 4 or 5 fucking videos in this "game". What a fucking colossal waste of money that was.
Jordan Rogers
>he can't into QTEs They literally make a game more immersive, you know.
Nicholas Cruz
>>project diva 2 >also only 4 or 5 fucking videos in this "game" >no new IP Good try but too obvious bait.
>Button promp during a cutscene >Immersive Yeah, it totally reminds me of when I talk to a girl and I have to press B to get her phone number
Nicholas Long
What is THIS?
Jason Parker
A Rin that looks only slightly creepier than regular FT Rin.
Dominic Cooper
...
Grayson Gomez
Funny that they put in the song that pretty much says that Miku's popularity is not as great as it used to be
Caleb Reed
...
Kayden James
What songs are you working on? Might have some advice to give away depending on the song.
Juan Perez
So if I own the full digital game with the season pass, I'd only bull this physical edition is because I love Miku?
Those three CDs, do they contain all of the songs in the game? Because that'd actually be well, well worth the price in my opinion.
How much will the upgrade to DX be? Does it just add the two songs and the screenshot customizer addition?
Hudson Cruz
Making any extreme progress?
Juan Garcia
Those 3 discs are from the special edition I think which is $110. Nobody knows about the upgrade but I assume it will be $15 again.
Jonathan Jones
just extreme laziness
Sebastian Gonzalez
Sad.
Jaxon Cooper
Project Internet Co when?
Eli Rodriguez
How extremely sad.
Ethan White
I would play it just for the Niki songs.
Mason Wood
Deadest MM in a while.
Benjamin Brown
This is what a sunset industry looks like.
Daniel James
once DX releases it'll probably pick up again
Xavier Cox
Might even reach 500 for the first time in ages. Probably not going to top the time Future Tone came out localized though. There were about 5 full threads within a week if I remember right.
Robert Collins
...
Aiden Kelly
Nice shot.
Lucas White
Not him but, it's the dream.
Kevin Turner
Funnily enough the Hello Planet module actually has cyan shimapan. This ones just an edit.
Looks like she's playing Melancholic there.
Zachary Nelson
I bought Mirai DX 2 years ago today and my life with miku has never been the same.
Eli Howard
Looks like someone ripped Future Tone and discovered some unused assets (including a Miku/GUMI duet song):
It's not really much, but I wonder how long the Gumi songs been in for.
Alexander Reed
Looks photoshopped. The default module does not have shimapan but white panties.
Mason Nguyen
...
Aiden Miller
Future Tone is my first Project Diva game and I am decent at it because I played Rhythm Games before but I am having some trouble at songs like Po Pi Po where you need to mash to a rhythm and for some reason I just can't get a hang of it, any protips on helping with this or even general PD tips?
Matthew Moore
Buy some vegetable juice, it's just 3 dollars.
Benjamin Long
>36
Josiah Garcia
I didn't mean to greentext anything
David Fisher
2 DOLLAS
Connor Campbell
What difficulty are you playing on? I don't recall popipo being too spammy compared to other songs. Generally speaking though you'll want to dual wield any overlapping notes unless you're playing a slow song.
Jordan Myers
So, /jp/ couldn't solve this. Can you?
39 = Miku, we need to decode the rest.
Liam Cox
I have to say, /jp/ did found the calculator model instead.
Michael Richardson
Hard, Popipo is the first one that comes to mind at the very end of the song when it comes to what I am referring to. I am not losing but I know I could rank higher of I can get a hang of it.
Jordan Moore
Miku naku ku i mimi na
I what I got if we're really going down the alternative reading route.
Angel Hall
well, the end is 1337, which is pretty self explanatory, 799, I don't know, though
William Cooper
1337 looks like a western thing though. Doubt the Japanese know what it is.
Mimi is ear. Something about Luka nibbling Miku's ear every night?
Henry Brooks
Miku looks like a Japanese thing though. Doubt the westerners know what it is.
Jace Peterson
They don't, only huge weeaboos know her.
Elijah Rogers
For the overlapping pairs of notes you'll want to hit one with your right hand and the other with your left. You'll have to do that for a lot of songs, especially on extreme.
Caleb Anderson
I was hoping that wouldn't be the case but it looks like it is. Any other tips on getting better like that tip?
Henry Cook
git gud
Adam Campbell
"Miku naku" could easily mean either Miku is not there or Miku cries (tears). Although "kui" can also mean to eat.
We're all probably reading too much into this though.
Matthew Phillips
Dual wielding is absolutely required for Extreme songs so better practice that.
Start by doing songs that you can do well with your left hand alone.
Nicholas Wilson
Watch someone on youtube play it and listen to their button presses, some songs make it hard to distinguish what you're supposed to press buttons to. Especially fucking magical sound shower. Fuck that song.
Angel Green
Who other than normalfags do you think is keeping demand for vocaloid stuff high enough for new stuff like games & concerts to keep being published?
Hint: It's not the otaku community who have moved on from this stuff.
Use practice mode and possibly look into using macros for holds and multi notes. Not really much more I can say loosely speaking.
Nathaniel Howard
Let's see 397991337
39=Miku 1337=leet, Elite, or Hacker
799= ? Google Translate when put as na na ku ku is "not at all"
So Miku isn't at all an Elite, or a Hacker? I don't think I'm doing this right.
Colton Garcia
>tfw like 4-6 miku titles ended up on famitsu's top 100 list sure it does not mean anything but it was worth some laughs
Christian Ross
>Interestingly, all of the DLC songs are present without the DLC and has a bit of their data. The only song that has another file included without the DLC is Age Age Again's music file. It may have been planned to not be DLC. ???
Tyler Davis
>the otaku community who have moved on from this stuff. Yeah that's why Magical Mirai 2017 was an unprecedented success and for next year they decided to split it in two weeks, one for Kansai, other for Kanto.
Eli Gonzalez
Adding on to this user Hisokeee's channel in general is worth visiting. He has a few other old tutorials for Project Diva and most of his newer gameplay vids have gamepad viewers or handcams.
Project Diva X being higher than F2nd wasn't funny though.
Jacob Brown
Not arguing really i blame it on the premise that X was more recent and that maybe japs were tired of playing the same songs from psp days again
Christopher White
The otaku community nowadays is a small part of the vocaloid fandom though.
Miku's been on TV multiple times on both sides of the pacific. And she even appeared at a Lady gaga concert.
Quit acting like it's 2008 and Miku is some obscure corner of Comiket/Nico Nico Douga.
Christian Ortiz
>next year they decided to split it in two weeks, one for Kansai, other for Kanto. They did that before though, it's nothing new
Austin Wright
>Visit arcades in Japan >Project Diva cabinets almost always virtually empty At least I don't have to queue for them I guess, but fuck the touch slider is far more fun than using buttons
Dominic Watson
Were you the guy that announced he was about to board a plane last time there was a manga dump?
Either way, glad you're enjoying.
Cameron Thompson
>2 new songs and modules confirmed >8000 yen >If you own all of the PD games then getting Future Tone already doesnt seem worth it >if you own FT and buy this youre basically retarded
What the fuck
Caleb Bell
pc version when
Matthew White
it's called an emulator.
Cameron Stewart
That wasn't me, but it was definitely fun playing with the proper touch slider.
Adrian Bailey
PS4 emulator?
Charles Clark
Any kind user has uploaded this somewhere? was not around when it was posted
Aaron Campbell
>when you're playing one of the songs you have so many problems with, and you just kinda phase out of existence and get 90%+ on it
Cameron Myers
Fuck you guys and your shitty discord channel, I'll be back -memeguy64
