AAA RPG - A new Vampires Bloodlines?

>"Obsidian Entertainment is currently developing a AAA RPG led by the creators of Fallout, Arcanum, and Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines."

>"In early 2016, Tim Cain & Leonard Boyarsky both began work on a secret project that at the time we only knew was being built inside Unreal Engine 4."

>"The secret game is a multi-platform RPG, as seen in this job description: obsidian.net/jobs/open-positions/art/969-ui-artist-senior"

>"The mention of UE4 ties it to this secret game and what's interesting to note is that there is an emphasis on having AAA titles shipped as a requirement. This coupled with the game being multi platform, mentions of reporting to 'stakeholders' and the fact that this game needs a UI team of more than one person (one person did PoE's ui) leads me to believe that this game has already been picked up by a publisher and it will be a AAA title."

>"Early, in April 2017, Tim Cain gave a talk at the Reboot Develop conference and mentioned that he was working on a new IP which has a lot of "Fallout and Arcanum style of humor.""

>"Now, the final piece of evidence comes from just a few days ago. In an interview with USGamer (listen here: soundcloud.com/usgamernet/axe-of-the-blood-god-121-a-fallout-new-vegas-retrospective it starts at 35:42) Josh Sawyer and Feargus Urquhart talk about what made FNV a classic. What got me excited was when Feargus mentions that he has been replaying Fallout: New Vegas recently for this secret game, which he then clarifies is not Fallout related."

Who is pumped, Sup Forums? I am kind of hyped...

If it was 5 years ago I might have been excited. But modern Obsidian is fucking trash. Well more trash than they used to be.

>Obsidian

It will be shit.

Gee cant wait for isometric rpgshit with DRUMPF as a main villain and forced black trans characters telling me to check my privilege

>UE4
cautiously optimistic. i loved alpha protocol so i'm okay with Obsidian attempts at AAA gaems

>new ip

Just give me a fucking VTMB sequel, Obsidian's last game was literally published by the owners for the VTMB IP.

Do you think if it is this they will not jump into the breach and go full Bioware?

Obsidian is due to join the Mt Rushmore of failed RPG studios and if this is the game that should be the final nail.

>Obsidian is due to join the Mt Rushmore of failed RPG studios
They more or less have been since they were first born. Before PoE revitalized them they were down to like 6 team members and weeks before declaring bankruptcy.

>it'll be another top-down text scroller
I want back my Deus Ex-like FPS/RPG hybrid games with late 90s/early 2K level design. The new Prey is my GOTY so far and honestly the most enjoyable game in the last 3 years or so.

very cautiosly attentive

Doesn't Paradox own White wolf?
If Obsidian owned the IP my dick would be diamonds

Paradox worked with Obsidian several times.

Didn't Cain say it's not WoD on twitter some time ago?

That honestly had less to do with Obsidian and with the state of RPGs in a time when consoles were in their absolute mainstream prime and it was all TPS/FPS nonsense. Obsidian notoriously never really adapted to the climate and when they tried with something like Alpha Protocol it was too flawed and different to put off people in both camps.

if you really look at it which of the old rpg titans is still around? bethesda is up there solely because no one else is really making the games the way they are. bioware's become a running joke.

Obsidian only PC RPG was Neverwinter Nights 2. It's more that they are pretty bad at making games/overestimate their deadlines.

>is currently developing a AAA RPG led by the creators of [beloved classic game]

I am
not

And is mentioned absolutely nowhere in anything posted in the OP.

I think my graphic card is kill.

Please don't post gore

>dat feel when Stormlands was ANOTHER XBone exclusive Microsoft cancelled

That was the project that hurt Obsidian badly and they had to fire like half the staff.

maybe you got the lasombra mod?

...

>XBone exclusive
who caress lol

I need something because I'm on my 8th playthrough while planning my 9th and 10th.

I thought this would handle 1280x1024 and not die.

VV/Strauss is never explored.
Also he's pretty based.

>multi plat

>fx5500
damn nigga, my card 15 years ago was fx5900. how did you even come about this card

This dude was selling two athlonx2 on craiglist and I offered him 10 bucks extra if I could have all his computer junk he didn't want. He handed me that card and a bunch of lan party/duke nukem stuff.

>10 bucks extra
so you paid more than 10 bucks? what drivers and direct x are you using?

I paid 10$ for it. The cpus were another thing. Drivers and direct x are listed It looked alright until opening scene. Its a PCI card not a PCIE.

Alpha Protocal and Dungeon Siege 3 were shit, Obsidian can't make a big budget game.

>KS

KOTOR2 and new Vegas were aight but they really can't make a complete big budget game.

>be a fledgeling that's a couple of nights old
>you can learn stuff like Level 5 Thaumaturgy or Domination within that timeframe
How is that supposed to make sense again?

it's not, but people got over it. i guess some say cain was manipulating your power level, but that might be headcannon

>>"The secret game is a multi-platform RPG, as seen in this job description:

Only Witcher cuckolds think this is a good thing
