i was in the same boat as you, i got a dozen khezus, both red and white before i gave up trying to get a lagombi
then i found out you have to get a lagombi egg as part of the story, and you can only find lagombi eggs after that event

After you complete the ritual tutorial they start spawning near the entrance of the zone. Plus, just above that is the earliest Tigrex you can find.

Huge MH fanboy that I am this one feels like a really repetitive one even by MH korean MMO standards. The battles are easy, the customization is nice but it will no doubt make for some broken one-button kill-everything monsters and the story is beyond generic. Its got nice animations, actually pretty damn amazing honestly, not enough to excuse everything else though.

Maybe if you literally get a boner thinking of pokemon style games, I sure as hell dont. Still playing it but only in short bursts or I'd have dropped it day one.

On the contrary, MH bias works wonders for this one and its the main thing that's kept me going for about 20+hours so far.

should I get monhun stories? I know it's a vast departure from the monhun I'm used to and honestly watching gameplay was pretty boring but I figured it might be because it's turn based. but the reviews and news about bad performance have made me hesitate. Honestly shocked the monhun stories community on Sup Forums is so active. Is it really worth the $40? keep in mind I payed less than $30 for both 3U and 4U

For people starting to play Stories and are using a GS like me. The Diablos GS is super easy to max out in the desert area and will stay good all the way until you're past the volcano.

I could potentially. As far as the Japanese part goes no fucking problems. But then editing and cleaning and doing all that sort of photoshop shit with the pages is annoying and quite honestly more than I'm willing to do for this.

Plus I'm not good at photoshop. I've only actually fully translated like this as a one man job 2 chapters in my entire life and both came out only okay despite people in general apparently not giving a fuck that the quality wasn't that great.

Pretty much everywhere.
Constant freezing on open areas/big cities in order to load stuff and frame drops in almost every part of the game, cities, battles, dens etc.

The only part where the frame rate is kept stable most of the time is when you do the mons ultis, that might also change once I get to the flashier ones.

Even if you do brick, which is virtually impossible if you just follow the steps, you can just buy a cheapo flashcard to flash NTRboot onto to make a recovery card. Saved my nearly 2 years dead 2DS this way.

I didn't notice anything like that, on towns with lot's of NPCs there is in fact big frame drops, and the NPCs in these places take a while to load, appearing as blue shadows before loading their textures. But while on the overworld and exploring, everything plays nice. But I agree that this game could use some kind of perfomance update.

That's actually done on purpose, to save memory. They start as blue silhouettes, load low res textures then higher res ones.
Same happens to the monsters on the field as a matter of fact, they're low res and have less frames of animation until you get closer.
