Am I missremembering? I don't remember the X working like that. I thought they claimed a host and from that point on take the form of that host whenever they want. Pretty sure enemy mutation doesn't happen I'm Fusion unless you are counting the frozen Ridley

In Star Fox Zero if you got all the medals you could just turn on the amiibo features with a button, using amiibo just let you dick around with them early.

Same thing with Samus Returns (supposedly), if you 100% the game you unlock the art galleries and Fusion Suit.

Iirc the 16bit arwing was supposed to be amiibo locked but you could actually obtain it doing some secret mussion

WE ARE NOT GETTING A SUPER AND FUSION REMAKE! We're getting a Metroid Fusion sequel. All these Fusion references in Samus Returns is just a hint to Metroid 5, that's it. Sakamoto even stated he wanted to make something new in the 2D Metroid series, no more remakes.

I didn't get sun and moon but from what I heard, they're even more casual and monotonous than previous games so why would ultra be any different. not like they'll completely change the game

I always found it kind of disappointing that despite the blue/yellow Fusion suit being the "face" of Fusion, you spend most of the game in that ugly-ass neon green/pink Varia suit. Having it physically change from Fusion-Varia then having it color change from Varia-Gravity like her original suit would have been far better, but I guess they wanted to keep the silhouette.

It's funny you mention that because every time I get yellow/pink in Splatoon 2 I jokingly say out loud "fuck you Nintendo I will NEVER like Fusion Varia suit".

I love the Fusion suit. I always use the color scheme in Smash.

meh, not super big on turn based grind stuff. I do hope we get more games on the 3ds announced at the direct though. would be a shame if the 3ds died with metroid. it can still go another year

well, it was a Ridley with robot parts. but it's not named, neither Ridley nor MetaRidley ingame.
maybe the prima guide guives us an official name.
From what I recall from an earlier thread he is less robot than MetaRidley usually is.
