What does Sup Forums think about destiny 2

What does Sup Forums think about destiny 2

I think it's amazing, a lot better than the first one

needs matchmaking for losers like me

otherwise its fun

Waiting for the PC release. Really enjoyed the first one, it was a fun shooter, I didn't really look for much in it. Been hearing 2 is just 1 but better so I'm excited; and my friends are gonna play this one with me.

Everything is shit apart from the gunplay.

Unfortunately the gunplay being a strength is so strong, it literally outweighs all other negatives enough to keep me playing it.

And I like collecting Hand Cannons.

Surprisingly good, much better than the first

A well padded middle of the road nothing game until you hit the endgame stuff. Nightfall missions are actually interesting content and hopefully so will the raid be too.

It's pretty good. I wish I could skip the goddamn intro mission with my other characters. Crucible is balls right now though

I haven't been able to play it because PS4pro meme. RIP me I guess

I collect scout rifles.
Right now I'm hunting for the rare new monarchy rifle. She's real pretty

so glad it removed those racist, alt right undertones!!!

I want to buy it but I'm not sure about getting it on console. Should I buy it for PS4 or wait until the PC release?

PC will have better performance. Chances are consoles will have a larger community because that's how it usually goes. Either way both versions will have their own meta

Incredibly boring. I've dropped it already and went back to Warframe. There's just no substance to anything in Destiny 2 and I don't get the hype. It's a game that has about 10 hours of original content before you come to a point at which you go in circles and it's not deep or well made enough to persuade me to grind anything.

Its unironically a baby's first "everybody is a winner" shooter. The story mode that makes up most of the game's content is too fucking easy because they don't want casualfags getting shit on for being trash

JUST

Too slow
Boring

>The story mode that makes up most of the game's content is too fucking easy because they don't want casualfags getting shit on for being trash
Or because a grand total of 0 people play Destiny for the story. When the raid comes out we'll see how many people are winners.

>2 month delay for pc

>Not buying a bungi game for both its multiplayer and campaign

Comfiest fuckin' hub.

This, they're still driving players to 3rd party apps and websites to matchmake for nightfalls. They have this retarded idea that they can build a community on consoles when you can't type.

Anyone want to, some of us over at /vg/ made a Discord, of you'd like to join.

Come make some friends and play with some anons.

>mfw that's literally my ship

>when you see that yellow number rise
>when you fully upgrade the gunslinger and see that yellow number with the golden gun because you're not a shitter that needs six bullets

Orgasmic.

>Everything is shit apart from the gunplay.
Everything? There's hyperbole, and then there's this.

>memespouting teens trying to make as many 4chins references to fit in

no thanks

I watched that video and while the guy had some valid points, he doesn't really elaborate on them or present them in a good manner. Really it's like a video representation of most of the anti-Destiny 2 posters on this board.

They should at least let us have a clan chat in game

Everyone's pretty chill in here, mate. Not sure what you're on about.

Couldn't finish Destiny 1, won't pick up D2 until maybe the first GOTY edition. It's basically Halo which has always been FPS:Console Edition anyway.

Xbox has lfg. Not sure about ps4

Does anyone have the original tweet that started all this shit? Some blue haired guy

>intentionally plays the game in the most unfun way possible
>complains about it not being fun

My casual friends are buying this shit on PC.

What can we do with it? PVE? PVP?

I'm really high ranked in games like Overwatch and CS:GO so we can't play together in competitive modes.

Guided games starts soon, user. There'll be matchmaking for nightfalls and raids.

Come back in October 24th, faggot.

PS4 or Xbox?

I feel the same way I do about the 2 games as I do about KotOR 1 and 2.

If they put D1 and 2 together it'd be a great game.

I think it's really good, Much better than D1.

Desinty is basically an MMO, so the game is basically
>get to endgame
>grind for better gear and more fashion acessories
>sometimes do casual PvP as a change of pace
According to fans the solid shooting mechanics make this gameplay loop better, but if you don't tend to like grinding then that probably won't matter to you.

okay thanks, I may pick it up to dick around I guess

i beat the tutorial and made it to a hub area.
can i just keeping running story solo?

s-sauce

Story, patroll stuff and some other activities with matchmaking are piss easy

You'll need a team for some of the more complicated ones. Soloing a nightfall is extremely hard; borderline impossible if you are underleveled or undergeared. And raids are for teams that know what to do and have the right weapons to do so

But yeah, you can get fairly far if you play solo

Woah holy fuck, that's some spoilers. I had no idea you go back to the tower... still looks fucking awesome holy shit.

October 24th when?

I saw this video. Guy made like 10 fuck destiny 2 videos, and then ended up buying it? wtf

>Spent forever on update removing the Kek Gauntlets
>Forgot to get the Kek Leg Armor
Kek

Waiting for the PC release, played first on the PS4. Anyone playing Sentinel? How is the running shield bash move? Any reason to use that over the Striker's shoulder strike?

Destiny fanboys are honestly the worst. The need to be gassed

>I saw this video. Guy made like 10 fuck destiny 2 videos, and then ended up buying it? wtf
I think he hates on stuff just for views honestly

>thinking this is a white nationalist symbol
>Removing this because of SJW's
The game is better than 1 but it's still normie bait that im gonna wait until a full edition comes out for.

does that come in a higher resolution

Id like to know this too plz

I've got 1580 hours into Destiny 1, completed each raid around 400 times (I created a clan of around 700 members based on getting people through raids that had been turned away by others).

Destiny 2 so far has been a lot better. I miss certain things, like all the Hunter invisibility tricks, I'd rely on those heavily getting a group flawless raider trophy (I'd take a few people with me and just solo the Croat raid).

All in all I'm happy, with all the dlc, even if the game ends up around $200 I'm sure I'll get my money's worth at even 1000 hours, let's keep in mind a bluray movie costs like $30 (cnd) for 1.5hours of entertainment.

As a side note it looks so much better. On my PS4 pro on a Samsung 4k with 120 motion interpolation it makes the original destiny look like absolute shit.

Sentinel is the best for PVE, other two are best for PVE, but Striker is more versatile They all work well in each mode though. The bash is solid, but spamming is bad since it milks your bar fast. Only reason you use anything but Striker in PVP is if you are fucking around.

You guys accept people who are waiting for the PC release? I'm gonna do the campaign alone to enjoy the story but I've always had problems finding people for raids.

I can't stop fucking playing it, I wanna read the new Lisbeth Salander novel I just bought, but can't put this damn game down.

I'm loving it.
Having said that, I have three major issues with it:
-Field of View like binoculars
-Framerate like Powerpoint
-Controls like molasses
All three of those issues aren't there on PC, so while I am enjoying the PS4 version, the real fun starts in October.

DOES THE GOLDEN GUN CRIT NOW

Hunter or Titan?

Warlock

too political for me

I'm a skeptic that's been converters to a believer. These adventures and new characters and mainstory have been so fucking good. Failsafe and Asher are just a treat.

Also tanks. I finnaly get to drive a tank. This game is a mastapiece

Way of the Sharpshooter let's it do precision shots, also Nighthawk is still in so you can do huge golden gun precision shots.

What did Bungie do this time?

Tried the PC beta and I thought it was okay. The story seems really gland and generic, could not give a fuck, but the multiplayer was decent fun. $60 worth? No, but I might keep my eye on it for a sale.

I think Titanfall 2 has legitimately dulled me to the other shoots. All I wanna do is run on the walls and use my grappling hook but it doesn't exist in other shooters.

Are they going to go back to how shaders used to work? If not im not really interested in that level of kikery.

This.

Everyone knows they're ALREADY holding content hostage behind a waiting period for no reason but extra profit. There is absolutely no reason to buy it now and I wish consumers would be smart enough to understand this instead of just being mindless money cattle so companies would stop doing this shit.

They literally replaced all recorded dialogue with Stephen Colbert screaming about Trump nonstop.

>Sentinel is the best for PVE, other two are best for PVE
N-nani!?

>Ghost, scan this weapon for me wouldya?
>Guardian have you heard of GRONALD BLOMPH Agghhhh...

For the most part it's Destiny 1. A few changes that I hate:

>Nightfalls are now on a timer
>Power Weapons in crucible have pretty much the same spawn timer but only one player can pick them up.
>Weapons are split between Power/Energy and Kinetic. This wouldn't be a problem if the Nightfalls for the foreseeable future involve that bullshit prism modifier.

Things that are the same that I hate:

>Still no matchmaking for raids or nightfalls
>Pulse Rifles are still garbage
>Hunters still feel kind of useless to the party (no real support abilities)
>Most missions are still very tedious and a chore to play once not to mention consecutive playthroughs for Ikora's meditations.

Additions that I like:

>Mods are neat.
>Shotguns/Pulse Rifles are now Power Weapons
>More activities with the opportunity to power-up you character.
>The story isn't amazing, but at least there is a story in this one.
>Daily challenges are now broken up between the 4 planets, strikes, and crucible and each has its own reward tokens that can be used to obtain specific items for each world.

Timers? Like you got an hour to beat it or something? Well damn, I used to solo the odd Nightfall in the first game just by taking it slow.

It's a New York Minute situation. You need to kill enemies to extend your timer.

It all hinges on tomorrows raid for me. If the raid is super easy, or if the gear sucks like kings fall's did, or if the raid gear doesn't outlevel gear you can get just from playing casually then I think I'll drop this game pretty quick. At the end of the day I only play Destiny for its solid end game content.

You've got 10 minutes and you have do specific things to add time to it. (Last week's nightfall had you killing enemies to add time. This week's has you literally jumping through hoops to add time back)

This is kind of shitty because it encourages your party to rush out to complete objectives are add time despite the fact that nightfalls super charge the enemies. It's pretty bullshit.

What are Sup Forums's favorite guns?

I can't give an opinion on a game that isn't out yet.

That sounds mighty gay

PCbros once more in denial. I plan to buy it on PC when it comes out there but I am going to laugh so hard when support is dropped from it first. Or when it takes longer for issues to get patched. You do know the port isn't being handled by Bungie, right?

They did something to the hand cannons this time around, or I'm out of practice, but they don't feel as good this time around. I did find an Old Fashioned though, and that thing kicks ass.

The Prospector is a pretty baller exotic grenade launcher too. Can be fired full auto, and once you release the trigger all the grenades go off at once. Not very practical, but cool as shit for messing around.

I really liked the sunshot.

I have it. Sentencer IV. Real pretty. I dismantled it to get my MIDA

What does Sup Forums recommend in terms of multipayer games on the ps4?
Destiny 2 looks interesting, and this thread is selling me on it somewhat.

Bungie itself is full of SJWs so its not surprising

I find the pvp the weakest part of the whole offering honestly. Instead of being able to choose which mode you want to play, they give you casual (deathmatch and domination) or competitive (elimination games).

Merciless, Sentencer IV, The Old Fashioned, The Tractor Cannon, the Halfdan-D, the MIDA Mini-Tool

well that's a shame.

I'm hoping they add some of the other game modes and separate playlists eventually, but they aren't going to give us 6v6 back, so fuck it.

>Sentencer IV
Like others have said, that's a gorgeous gun.

come on over to /vg/

lets talk about the injustice that there isn't a single sexy looking exotic in this game like my baby girl, the Hawkmoon.

I still need to play with all the homies from [tfg] that all transferred over.

>implying

did you even watch the video? there was no "fun" way to play it, its the most watered down generic ADS gameplay to exist without an ounce of difficulty and the only drive to keep playing is cosmetic bull shit because the gameplay sure as hell as nothing fun in it

>im-fucking-plying.

Guided games don't count for your weekly nightfall milestone. It's hardly an LFG system, just attempts to match you with two/five people from a clan for whatever it is you're trying to run.

Literally looks like trash id find on the moon.
That's just plain ugly and garish looking I heard the payload it drops is fun doe.
