A ton of RTS games use randomly generated maps.
They usually just generate a half and then mirror it so it's fair on both sides.

I'm sure i'm going to get shit for this but every review i've looked at only talks about the gameplay. I would only buy this game for the singleplayer, is the campaign good and does it have a good/fun/whatever story?

Just RTS. You only get a reason to change names when it starts being one of those mixes where you control the construction but have people fight as your warriors like in Savage.
It's on GOG and is 700 MB large. I got a link and downloaded it off of a simple file hoster in a bunch of minutes. Check CSRIN.
I think this game is more along the lines of 100% Orange Juice. I mean, there is a campaign but I haven't played it and doubt it's all that interesting.
