If you're about as capable as Sheena then you'd loose miserably.

Maybe Cheria, only good for 1 cheese spell in the entire game, otherwise very lackluster

sheena isn't really useless, she's just not as good as anyone else. she's got some distinct stuff that's quite good though. the only tales party member I'd say is useless is kratos because he's literally just zelos but worse

cheria has some pretty great A attacks and group healing is really handy in that game because almost every fight has you against an enemy that either has a ton of friends or shoots AOE everywhere the AI is too stupid to avoid

WHY did summoning have to be tied to the fucking 5-second limit break mechanic? Worst thing in the whole game.

maybe undine, but after that she can just lower the bosses defense and spell cancel it in the back all day. having high speed in a game where you have to manually run/jump/backdash away from attacks is pretty handy too. she's not alone in being able to do this, but her fast attack speed gives this pretty good dps

cyclone seal is pretty broken against things it can lift, too

Cheria is top tier tho. Malik or Richard are probably the weakest playable characters in Graces.

Now, the weakest in Tales of the Abyss has to be Natalia.

malik is if nothing else the least fun character to use because of that games retarded enemy AI that will dogpile whoever is P1 to the point of chasing them around the screen ignoring everyone else, making him impossible to actually cast spells with

Not only that but there's also the spell queue.

i love Jade to death, but he is by far the weakest party member in the game, next to Luke, who is one of my favorites.

the actually most useless TOS party member is genis.

because (most of) the summons are broken as hell

natilia only has an easy time soloing the game if you play on normal. because of the retarded p.def scaling enemies get on hard/mania in that game jade is way better because your party ends up being luke or guy/three casters unless you want to see 1-2 digit damage constantly
