He didn't mean a coincidence that two pieces in the game had a similar design, he's talking about that design's resemblance to the Kekistan flag. If it only showed up looking similar on one piece of gear, that's a coincidence. The leg piece literally says Kek on it though, so that makes it seem much more intentional.
