You dropped this
fun party game but not one of the best
> party game
Jesus christ, I didn't even know one man could stay under a rock for that long.
What about sunshine and luigi's mansion
imho
I kinda agree but both REmake and Pikmin 2 had better versions in newer platforms.
So that leaves F-Zero GX and Killer 7.
lol no. Overrated trash.
Where's Metroid Prime?
>sunshine
huge disappointment
>luigi's mansion
charming but simplistic, not interesting enough to be considered one of the best
it's really not a great RPG, there's way too much backtracking
not as well designed as people make it out to be and the environment design is cut and paste from other metroid games for the most part
On Wii, with pointer controls.
Eternal Darkness?
Pikmin 1 is better than 2 though.
doesn't even come close to REmake
no
...
I like smash 64 better than that one desu
>these are the only good gamecube games
FTFY
Nigga it is a party game
Eternal Darkness
Pikmins
Only the first Metroid
Wind Waker
Smash
RE4
Sunshine
>all my normie friends hate it and only want to play melee
fuck this shit nigga
eternal darkness is mediocre as fuck. people only talk about the sanitys when this game gets brought up because everything else is just meh at best
I feel like Metroid Prime should be on here. Personally I'd add Luigi's Mansion as well, I understand that it's not as complex as the other games listed but it's not easy to nail perfection, even in simplicity. Eternal Darkness I'd want to add but it has enough hitches I wouldn't argue it. I'm sure a lot of people would want Thousand Year Door there was well but it also has some hold backs.
>you will never beat killer7 for the first time again
>No Kirby Air Ride

overrated as hell
You're a nigger and you're bad at videogames.
you forgot custom robo, user
>Suda said he wanted to rerelease Killer7 in HD and was starting talks with Capcom about it
>this was a year ago
>no news since
>a lot of people like it so it's my duty to be contrarian
I'm sure he really wants to do it
but depending on how successful Travis Strikes Again is, he said he wants to make NMH3 too
it's up to Capcom really
they could just ship it to some dev that specialize in HD remasters like BluePoint or something
but again, Capcom being Capcom...
the Silver Case remaster gives me hope though
First two pass.
Last two are better played elsewhere.
Is F-Zero GX an example of a flawless videogame? Great: graphics, art style, characters (and lots of them), music; very high skill ceiling; lots of courses.
...
>I'm sure he really wants to do it
As am I, if it doesn't happen I'm assuming it's Capcom's fault.
>they could just ship it to some dev that specialize in HD remasters like BluePoint or something
That would definitely be nice, though honestly not entirely necessary, the game looks fucking amazing upscaled in an emulator since all the textures are already very simple cell-shaded shit, so honestly it'd be hard to fuck up in general.
>the Silver Case remaster gives me hope though
Same, I believe that even managed to get a console release several months after the Steam release, so I hope that means it had some kind of success.
And Capcom is releasing Okami HD for modern stuff now, so that makes me hopeful, it's not like that game did especially well despite being so well received, as far as I recall at least.
oh you mean that game had way less content than the n64 version?
Replace Pikmin with TimeSplitters 2.
not even a good harvest moon game
homo
>These are the best GameCube games.
>F-Zero GX
You're okay user
>Pikmin 2 instead of Pikmin 1
>no Melee, Sunshine, TTYD, or MEtroid Prime
>Memer 7
Terrible taste.
Lies
>caves significantly less interesting and well-designed than actual areas
>literally impossible to lose since there's unlimited time
>started the gimmick of multiple leaders
Nah
>not liking killer7
you're the one with shit tastes
You forgot a hidden gem
the singleplayer in that game is fucking TRASH
i remember one part specifically where everyone is standing in a circle in the same pose and there's so much fucking boring dialog to read that there's TWO save points in between
Yeah, the dialogue was the worst part
>caves significantly less interesting and well-designed than actual areas
they make for a pleasant complement to above-ground exploration, where pikmin 2 has just as much content as the first game
>literally impossible to lose since there's unlimited time
the time limit from the first game isn't even an issue, the only way you'd fail is if you purposely waste time or just suck at video games in general
>started the gimmick of multiple leaders
it opens up new gameplay opportunities through multitasking
also, the second game has improved mechanics like being able to select which pikmin color to throw and includes lots of excellent flavor text in the piklopedia and treasure hoard
gamecube had a worse library than your favorite console
M. prime and f-zero were the only true keepers, with mario sunshine being decent at the time (and ultimately better than galaxy due to higher difficulty)
wind waker will eventually be called great by Sup Forums as the faggots who played it at 6 years old finally grow up, the same thing happened to majora
but it was one of the worst zeldas due to being so incomplete, and not even having an overworld
Is there any difference between Killer 7 on PS2? It's a lot easier to find
Inb4 Dolphin
forgot to mention, pikmin 2 has a real, robust challenge mode instead of just "grow a bunch of pikmin"
You forgot TimeSplitters Future Perfect and Mario Strikers
>No Air Ride
>No Melee
Did you not have friends?
Literally the worst thread on Sup Forums right now. Let that sink in.
F-Zero is the best arcade racing game ever made
PS2 version has longer loadtimes and framedrops, but if it's all you can find then it's worth picking up anyways. GCN version is definitive, though.
>GCN version is definitive, though.
Game emulates exceptionally well, real pretty at higher resolutions. Just be careful, some settings make it so you can't aim.
...
Ha ok. By these standards what games were good from that era?
Maybe, but you can't deny that it faced some steep competition. Gen 6 was like the last hurrah for the genre. I miss arcade racers so much ;_;
No mention of pic related????
>ridge racer 5
terrible bait, that piece of shit game killed the series
Holy fuck I forgot how good this game's soundtrack was.
I can see how F-Zero GX was made by the same people.
false, RRV is the best one. 6 is what killed the series with it's dumbed down drifting and shitty nitrous mechanic.
OP literally answered that question with his first post, you illiterate.
>being this much of a contrarian
im being serious here, i have NEVER in my life see someone defend RRV holy shit. the game was such a step down from type 4 in every possible way.
Windwaker is already called great by a lot of people. Tbh the game is fantastic until you hit the triforce hunt. If they finished the game it would have been one of the best Zeldas
it had the tightest drifting and best challenge in the series, people only like type 4 for the soundtrack and story mode
Some effects are missing in PS2 version as well, although you wouldn't notice they were missing without playing GC first.
