Generic ass MOBA. THey should have done a Pokemon MOBA. That would have been at least able to grab people's attention.

Played it on mobile. Fast and fun for a moba, and would control perfectly on a console. It's just surprising that Tencent is betting on the Switch, of all things, instead of going for that global mobile release.

Generic tencent game, rip off a fuckton of games and take characters and pump advertising on it. Surprised it got this huge when they own Riot too and Riot took legal action against Mobile Legends.

It's more surprising they just don't use League characters when they could. But this game is massive in China. It's THE Tencent game. Calling it generic is a bit of a disservice.

This is the most confusing thing they announced. I get having a moba game on your console but its by tencent in leagues engine and it doesn't use League characters? They have so many good characters I'd love to play and yet they've went for generic mobile trash?

Koei doesn't own real historical figures, or fictional characters from the RotTK. Diao Chan and Zhao Yun are in as well.

They may as well just ported LOL to Switch.

if it's two seperate games then it increases the chance that people will double dip on their products

There's no way it's written in "League's Engine", because League doesn't have an engine. It's a bunch of spaghetti code that barely compiles. They still find bugs caused by entities being coded as minions. Riot games devs make Bethesda devs look the patron saints of software design.

None if that's an option. On mobile, there's Mobile Legend and this, Arena of Valor/Realm of Valor/Glory of King which kind of control okay. Tried Vainglory but it controls like crap for a mobile game.

The issue with these chinese games is that they all have historical characters from chinese history, so they're going to have a lot of overlap in terms of characters.

This is literally a port of a mobile game called Honor of Kings (王者荣耀). They released it in the US as Arena of Valor with slightly different heroes adapted for Western audiences, but some like Lu Bu and Diaochan are the same. Other heroes from the Chinese one are Marco Polo who's ultimate is that of Reaper from Overwatch. I lived in China for the past 5 years and played this shit with my wife.
