That direct presentation has me divided. On one hand I thought it was great for fans of the series. Show off tons of factions and locations opening up the story, show off the gameplay, and have some ripping music in the background. As a Takahashi fan at this point I KNOW this game is going to be at least pretty damn good.

But if you're not a fan and just watching that direct casually, I feel like you'd just brush that entire thing off as boring shit. An old man rambling on in the background while you spill the game's guts out to the viewer isn't what you do to get outsiders interested. I fee like a 3 minute action filled trailer would have been much better.

I just want this game to sell really well. Monolith deserve it. I don't think they're going to hit that jackpot this time though.

They need to release an action-style trailer that's more tight than even the E3 one in October or November.

The audio of everything is great and the game is fine, but as a fan of Xenoblade the art is extremely ugly with all the characters having childlike proportions and I dislike everyone having more ugly character designs tied to their weapons.

Jrpgs rarely sell even a million copies unless they're Square mothership title or Pokemon. The known results for the franchise are fine.

It's fantasy, chivalry is still alive. helping a woman across the street (AKA an endless sea of clouds full of giant ass monsters and multiple factions that want to kill you and her) is just the gentleman thing to do.

It won't happen, but we can dream. Popularity can be a bane after all. The Xenoblade fanbase itself is already so fragmented over the 3 games we have.

And I wish FF didn't turn into Nomura's homo ass ride after VII. Luckily Atlus and MonoSoft are doing a good job preventing that from happening to their series.
