Is it any good?

Is it any good?

Yes. I like mine.
The fact that it supports both Direct- and Xinput makes it super versatile. It just werks.

As a retro- & survival-horror gamer, I also greatly appreciate its D-Pad location.

>The fact that it supports both Direct- and Xinput makes it super versatile. It just werks.
This is great. Buttons also feel great. Triggers are too stiff for me at least though.

>Triggers are too stiff for me at least though.
They are L2 and R2 BUTTONS, you GenZ mouthbreather

This is anecdotal, but I had 4 logitech controllers in my life and all of them together lasted less than the 360 one I have now.

it's a 360 controller, not a playstation controller, you dumb sonygge r

I had one, and it had a long stiffness breakin period. the controller also didn't last a year.

not very good desu, the PowerA xbone controller I got for the same price has been much better

Just buy a dualshock 4, nigger.

been the total opposite for me.
My 10+ yo Logitech still works fine, but the Xbox 360 gamepad I got brand new just 2 years ago already is busted and loses connection all the time.

it's a PC gamepad, copying Sony's Dualshock design, you goddamn 00s kid.

Mine started spazzing out after about 7 years of use. Would put in inputs I didn't press. It had a good run though, now I just use my PS4 controller.

just get a wired 360 controller, mine has been perfectly functional for a DECADE now

>literally doesn't work anywhere without custom firmware
>paying 70 bucks for a gamepad

The "legs" are to curved for me and make my hands cramp after a while

yes, and sony's controller drew inspiration from nintendo's original
what's your point? this controller is based off the 360's design with A B X Y, LT, RT, LB, RB, etc.

It works out of the box with Dinput via usb and bluetooth though........................................................................

They are labelled LT and RT, though

What happened to yours? The buttons on my Logitech Rumblepad 2 get stuck or "sticky" from time to time, but its easily fixed by opening the thing and cleaning the buttons with alcohol.

used to enjoy it, the stick feels better than ds3 atleast but the triggers are too stiff, dpad are awesome and buttons are nice but kinda hurts on serious button mashing games. Options for both Dinput and Xinput is great.
Only problem is the wires which easily get damaged somehow and I had two of them being rendered useless coz of this. Now Im happy with DS4

In the newest one, the A button couldn't take the abuse and stopped working altogether. The one before that had the case of sticking face buttons, which often painfully pinched me. I don't remember the details about the older ones.

Granted, it's been some years since I used Logitech at all. The latest one was that xbox 360-ish one with airflow, chillstream I think.

And it works with xinput with ds4windows, even motion controls and the touchpad.

I have an f310 and stick is absolute fucking garbage.
First of all it feels so light. Like i can only either have it in default position or completely turned on one side its extremely hard to get in between.
Is there actualy a way to fix this because i see people have never mentioned this and are happy with their f310.

Every one is arguing about the design.

Its the best design. Nintendo/Micsoft A,B,X,Y, Playstation controller lay out, Good Sega Genesis D Pad.

Nothing to hate about this controller.

The cord broke on mine :^(

they're good but as people say, triggers are too stiff. Good thing I don't play that many racers

D-Pad is great which I use a lot for emulation, and the ability of switching between D-Input and X-Input is a life saver

you sound triggered

And don't some games have support for the ds4, replacing hud icons and button prompts?

How can you not figure out what buttons translate to a corresponding button on a different controller? They're all in the same spot my duder.

Ive got an F310 as well, I use it for Dark Souls and strangely I have this problem for the first few minutes but then it goes away.

It's like I'll be unable to just make my character walk for a while and then it's suddenly not a problem. Maybe my fine motor skills are just adapting?

The only ones I remember are Tomb Raider and some indie shit, but newer games seem to be supporting it.

I have the F710 and it's good. The D-Pad feels a little wobbly and loose but it functions fine.

It gets a bit messy between nintendo and xbox because they're reversed.

I've bought one 3 times, the first two the cord broke on me as well. Basically, never bend the base of the cord where it connects to the gamepad. my third one has lasted 2 years now and I've been careful with the cord.

the dpad is a piece of shit and bumpers broke after 2 months
it's fucking terrible

They're still triggers because they're analog. It hasn't had digital L2 and R2 buttons since the old Logitech DualAnalog controller.

I used to think they were amazing

Then I got a DS3

Then a DS4

Now I fucking hate logitech

Good for it's price. But triggers will break pretty quickly.

I lent it to my friend for a week and half the buttons were stuck. I don't even know how he did it

It gets the job done. Had to replace mine after two years of use though. Cord snapped.

it's great for fighting games

poorfag bait trash. it really is shit

I bought mine like 3 years ago and it still works fine

The triggers on it are shit though, super long pull and really hard. Other then that though it's good for the price.

If you can afford it you'd probably be better off just getting a wired 360 controller though.

for a 20 dollar controller its okay, not really a good controller though. triggers are stiff, dpad isn't accurate, joysticks prone to having issues on their axis, and cord is too fucking short. i dont recommend getting a "one controller for everything" type deal either, specialize

Don't roll the cord around the controller, the wires inside will stop connecting to the port. The LB and RB are pretty sensitive so if you drop it it'll get stuck.

Are Dinput controllers emulating Xinput straight up better than regular Xinput only controllers?

One of the bumpers pretty much self-destructed after two months on mine. I also hate how they click instead of being similar to L1/R1 on a dualshock, I don't know if that's how it is on a 360 controller. And like other people said, pretty stiff triggers but I got used to it.

Of course, because they support normal input and not just Xinput, which is cancer.

I have one. I think the shoulder buttons in general aren't great, and the D-pad will hurt your thumb after long game sessions if that's what you're using. The analog sticks are fine though.

No you're outthinking yourself buy the Xbox one controller /thread

It's not emulation, it's a physical switch on the back of the controller. In 'D' it shows up as a generic USB pad using DirectInput, and L2/R2 work as digital buttons despite still having analog throws- in 'X' it instead shows up as a Logitech USB Gamepad using XInput and L2/R2 have their own analog axes.

There's also a third button in the middle of the pad that lets you make the D-pad work as the analog stick and vice versa, which is good for older games that might play better with the D-pad but don't let you remap movement from the stick.

shitty d-pad, bad for emulation or fighting games

Xbone still has that god awful d-pad?

If it's not Vita/PS4/WiiU tier, it's shit

No.
at least I don't think so, and this one is even cheaper.

not him but do you people really fucking use one controller for everything

I have a controller for fighting games and 2D emulation, and a controller for everything else

Why wouldn't you?

Wasn't there a F510 or something? Did Logitech discontinue it?

>dualshock d-pad
Why? You could pick from any design, literally any, and you go with that. Almost as baffling as 360 d-pads on 3rd party stuff. Fucking chinks.

name a single controller with the best of everything, i prefer my xbox 360 controller over most things but will still always use my buffalo usb classic pad for anything 2d

They unfortunately did, yeah. F310 is wired, F510 was wired with rumble, and F710 is wireless with rumble. No idea why they discontinued the 510- honestly it's surprising they're still making and selling the F-series gamepad line at all given all their other products have switched to their new 'split G' logo with sharp angles and colored LEDs everywhere.

This one. If I didn't play fighting games I'd never have reason to use anything else.

d-pad is inaccurate shit s it's mainly a stick only pad
some kind of deadzone issue with the sticks in some games.. or maybe I'm confusing this issue with another pad I got
doesn't last very long

other than that it's ok

My cord broke the same way. I'll make sure to be careful with my next one

>segregated dpad
>convex joystic
>digital triggers
i think im done here

Why wouldnt everyone just use a DS3 or 4?

analog triggers are a shitty meme and they're overpriced

Odd they decided to discontinue it when F510 would be considered technically better.

I've had Logitech Dual Action for 7 years and it worked great until lately the sticks started to spaz out (it was cheap as hell so I'm not complaining, it's much more than I expected). Based on this good experience I went for another logitech pad.

Bought f310 couple weeks ago and it's great for the price. The d-pad is nice imho, it's pretty tight with minimal wobble for this kind of pad, I can actually consistently use it for fighters and although there are better pads for fighting games out there, for 20$ this is decent. The switch between types of input is awesome and so far every game, old or new, has worked for me and it works both on linux and windows flawlessly out of the box.

There are two things I don't like, the sticks are a bit too sensitive, it's harder to get in-between values, would probably be a problem for racing games and such but I don't play those so I don't mind that much. I also don't like the analog triggers, I don't really need them for any game I play, they're harder to press which makes simultaneous button presses harder in fighting games.

Imho it's the best bang for your buck and I don't know a better pad in this price range.
