I just reached the Undead Castle (where you help the lizard dude) and I just learned that my Swashbuckler INT build doesn't work on undead/crit immune enemies.
am I fuked?
do I have to restart? are there a lot of crit immune enemies?

Restart. Same thing happened to me but I was running low on stuff. Seriously, no chance.
...
Do not restart. You get to experience true pain when you plow through the OG campaign as a rogue class character.
The entire game and then the expansion is undead then spirits so everything is immune to crit.
You eventually get a feat to ignore crit immunity.
Just bring along one of the heavy hitter NPCs for a bit to take the pressure off until you get the feat to bypass crit immunity.
Don't you get a full party in that game? You could buff a heavy hitter (i.e. paladin) with some spells (haste, stoneskin) and clear that place out.
eh, I guess I will restart. how's unarmed Monk in this game?
Swashbuckler is a shit class anyways, I don't know what you were expecting.
Just use the character editor. It's. A Java program that let's you edit your stats and inventory etc. I think you could probably restart your whole character to level 0 but maybe level 1.
In other words All is not lost. Khelgar exists to allow even the shittiest characters a chance to complete the game.
Mediocre at best. Gloves are worse in NWN2 than they were in NWN1. Quarterstaff and Kama Monks can be alright because of how much easier it is to make a good weapon via crafting in any of the campaigns and because of buffs like Flame Weapon that they in particular can take advantage of, but they're not exceptional by any means.
You should have a party of four by then. The Dwarf alone easily clears that whole castle.
wow, why everything I like is shit in this game.
now I'm stuck with generic boring muscle build
if only there were a class or two designed to shit on undead you could bring
Build a caster class instead, like all the cool kids.
IIRC it's supported but kind of bad. The game at least gives you gauntlets to reduce the gap between unarmed damage and the game's ridiculous gear scaling, but it's not enough to make up the difference. Especially early on. I think MotB introduced the Sacred Fist class which fixes some of the problems at epic levels, but that takes forever.
3rd Edition is all about that multiclass.
A monk dual wielding Kamas will wreck shit. Kaze no Kama, look it up.
Because you're playing 3.5e and 3.5e was intentionally loaded down with trap options specifically to do this to people like you.
The party system allows you to do whatever you want. You could have your character not fight at all as long you use your party well. If you're trying to solo everything then yes, you'll need to minmax a bit.
>not just playing ADWR
You just get fucked by men most of the time, that's gay.
Honestly it's an overrated build. It's awful before you get highly enchanted weapons, it's an extreme late bloomer, it's the most full attack reliant build in the game, and in campaigns like SoZ it never comes together.
Not a big deal, swashbuckler is basically a warrior class that lean on dex instead of str. You can go duelist or storm lord later on which hits like a truck.
Early undead encounters wrecks your party if you don't have a decent weapons with elemental damage. And those debuff is much more of your concern.
I'm not sure how that solves the problem of the MC sucking shit.
loved this game. only cheat I used was to increase party size to max.
