I'm not asking which is better, that's not even worth arguing about at this point.
As for my preference, pic related for no real reason either. I just enjoy it more.

I haven't tried Paladins yet. I don't have fun with Overwatch. Is Paladins different enough to bother downloading? Is it even a decent game?

It's an inevitability sadly in games like these, especially at lower levels. That said I feel like Paladins gives you more player agency.

top 500 player here, paladins has such a wider breadth of options to choose from in terms of playstyle and heroes

Random shitter here, my only balance gripe with Paladins is the support situation because so many of them are hybrid role characters so I feel limited when choosing from them compared to other roles.
