Look, plumber's crack.
Look, plumber's crack
...
What'd you just say?
I said uh look, the plumber's back.
Why the hell did I immediately remember this exchange. It's been years.
desu, I lingered on the disappointment of this exchange not being in the remake a little too long.
He doesn't even have a plumbers crack though, he's wearing overalls.
It's a great exchange, but the joke really doesn't work without the visual matching up.
HASHTAG GADGETRON
I liked the humor in Ratchet and Clank 1 a lot and I really need to play the games past Going Commando.
Cya next reboot!
Its a memorable bit of dialogue. I too remember it after so fucking long
AciT>GC>ToD>R&C>UYA>ItN>2016>DL>QfB>A4O>FFA>SM>SAC
Look, plumber's black.
>FFA higher than PSP T&Cs
Who the fuck thought to mix tower defense with R&C anyways?
I really ought to pick up Into the Nexus at some point, only one I haven't played in the series.
A4O is actually pretty fucking good on its own merits
>ToD
Honestly Tools of Destruction might be the blandest Ratchet and Clank game I've ever played. It also started the series down the line of taking itself way too seriously
Replay Deadlocked, it's actually a really good time
i could enjoy a4o if it wasnt so restrictive of everything to the point of frustration
Deadlocked is great because it just goes full retard with the guns. It's the one that lets you get them up to lvl 99 if I remember correctly.
Yeah I agree, I really disliked ToD and CiT because of what they did to the story. The story of 1 and 2 are amazing. 3 is also funny, but 2 really had a lot of the funny skits and cutacenes for 3ach vidbot. 3 felt like a rushed game to me due to multiplayer, and I hated playing recycled multiplayet maps for the actual campaign.
Can the second and third game be emulated yet? I hooked up my PS2 to my monitor and finished the first one again that way but the resolution kills my eyes
Holy shit this thread is making me feel a lot of nostalgia for the original Ratchet and Clank PS2 games and the Jak and Daxter series.
Was the PS2 the peak of these types of platformers? I still remember those games having great designs, great level variety and always had you doing something different, or am I just looking at it with rose-tinted glasses?
>I hooked up my PS2 to my monitor
The Jak, Ratchet and Clank and Sly games were all very well designed
> am I just looking at it with rose tinted glasses?
No, you are correct. Ps2 was the golden era for these types of games. Ps1/N64 era didn't quite have the tech nesisary to make games in this scope. I'd say Spyro came closest. Ps3 and beyond era *could* have made even better games, but they didn't. Genre fell out of popularity and the sequels and spiritual successors never hit the highs of the originals.
Ps2 era Ratchet, Jak and Sly were amoung gaming greatest achievements. Perfectly suited for the tech level as well, ps2 could make the games look as good as they needed for the art style, and forcing them to 1080p in remasters proves that the art style will reign supreme over ultra detailed textures and effects. The only thing that improved when Ratchet went to ps3/PS4 was the button layout.
not him but some monitors have composite/s-video/component.
