Her social link is not very good. She was mostly avoidable otherwise (outside of skill card management.)
The Golden anime really drew ire from how it shoehorned her into damn near everything.

Golden on its own definitely puts a lot of emphasis on Marie, but if you watched the original animation and treat Golden like a New Game+ run it makes a lot more sense
