Oh man.....you could not have pick a more abolsutely worse time to play this, let alone start it. Ep1-3 is the game at it's best, the problem is now thanks to Ep5 and the cancer that is Hero, that content is just utterly worse and the EQs introduced in those episodes no longer get scheduled or run. AS a matter of fact thanks to hero the nothing matter game anymore and almost every that's not in a buster quest is a total push over. Hero has made all the other classes so utterly pointless, the only way you be able to actually with other players is to play hero too, but because your just now start i guarantee you'll never get there with how the game is in its state because hero takes 3 classes, one from each attack type to get 75 for you to unlock it. You'll give up before getting even one class that high.

There has literally been no excuse not to play with all the other English speakers with an English translation patch on the Japanese servers for years, if you were too stubborn to do it and missed the brief window where the game was worth playing you have no one to blame but yourself

I have several class on 75 already, took a break for entire episode and thinking about coming back, but after discovering that hero locked behind CO and shit, i gave up.
It's not like every single person on my friendlist still playing the game anyway.

it doesnt. the best part is leveling up with friends. once you reach the cap you just wait around to do gay ass EQs all the time and get your weapons that are good for each zone and min max shit.

Nigga i've been playing this game on an off since 2013. The reason not localizing this is part of the fault is because by mid ep3 the game was having problems keeping it's players with no way off getting enough new players into it. It would have been far better to release it worldwide, advertising it along with the rise of the ps4, allowing them to get new players from western base than, essentially sweep nearly 4 years of the game's content under the rug near to be seen again, introduce even more cancerous opportunities to milk the players they have now of more of there money with the AC store, and strip damn near everything that about the identity of phantasy star's atmosphere and setting.

That won't change the damage Ep4 and 5 have done to this game. It'll still be the same shit it is now

EP4 was better than EP2 for a whole bunch of classes that were like the average class combo now compared to Force or Braver then.

EP4 wasn't bad at all in the second half if you just forget shitty story and setting.
