This game is shaping up to be an upgrade in every way possible compared to the original. They even found a way to make Kidman even more hawt.

Shit it looks great
>They even found a way to make Kidman even more hawt.
Indeed, getting a major case of "phew lads"
thank god its idtech 6
>an upgrade in every way possible compared to the original
>implying it would be hard to improve upon garbage
First game wasn't terrible but it seemed to have set up a much more interesting premise for the sequel. All it did was introduce you to everything and now they can go nuts.

I don't know, it felt like a wannabe RE4. I didn't like jumping from one location to another for each chapter. I would have preferred something more compacted. All the scary and gory stuff felt really forced. Basically they mashed up lots of stuff without much result
Does that mean this one won't run like dogshit?
Yes that's what it means.
It also means it'll look 20 times better.
Good. All that stuff with the letterboxing and crashes in the first game was embarrassing.
>I didn't like jumping from one location to another for each chapter.
Yeah neither did I. One of the lesser frustrating things about the game, but frustrating nonetheless. And yeah, it seemed like they were trying too hard to be trippy and horrific, but the reasons for why it happens make sense. I actually felt invested in the story and character's. Except for Joseph. Everyone had tragic pasts that were reflected as hellish creations in the Stem world. The more you learn about Ruvik, the more you feel for him. He literally did nothing wrong. I'm just glad that this time around there's more enemy variety and a color palette outside of grey, brown, and black.
Nothing amazing but it looks fun, i just hate these stealth segments...I've already done them thousands of times in other games
>feeling for Ruvik
He's an asshole with a sister complex. Good baddie though and kind of wish the new game was about Kidman and him only. Story only seemed interesting when learning about him and doing Kidman's DLC
seemed like they were just experimenting with level/monster design
>jumping from one location to another
this wasn't so much of a problem until they started tying the lore together.. you were supposed to be venturing into the mind of a mad genius autistic savant and his alter ego and you're faced with.. a few stupid trip mines wired to dynamite?
the game mechanics didn't scale to the level of mind-fuck they wanted to achieve, is all. still have to check out #2; they have something good here!
>game starts
>sprint in a straight line
>introduce the first enemy in a cutscene and kill it
>stealth bullshit
>close the door and put shelve behind it
>talk to a shitty npc
>Sub-quests
>Workbench
>skill system
Very original and inspiring
>Carpenter Brut soundtrack
Voice actors are all shit except for Stefano.
Kidman looks like Jill crossed with Ada so my dick likes.
I like how they're bringing a bunch of monster designs that were cut from the first game that they showed in the art book.
I actually loved the disoriented, mindfuck direction of the first. You felt as directionless as Sebastian was, I loved how they switched perspective constantly to throw you off.
This time still looks sweet but you're more prepared as a result, hoping they up the ante.
>You felt as directionless as Sebastian was, I loved how they switched perspective constantly to throw you off.
I hate how the characters hardly commented on anything. I get they're hardened, but considering it was their first time in some fucked up nightmare world, they were hardly expressive. It made it hard to relate when they all just wore blank faces despite everything going on. But It seems like Sebastian freaks out more in the sequel, which is actually really refreshing.
Shes looking pretty Jill Valentine now.
Sebs outfit is about a million times worse, so not everything is better.
I hope they keep the new game+ rewards. I loved the model viewer and overpowered weapons.
I hate the part when every time Sébastien on a new area, cuteness triggered
Hope they removed it
Is that supposed to be Kidman? wtf did they do to her.
Made her look better imo
She actually looks closer to the art from the first game now. I didn't mind her old look but this one is superior.
I loved the first one, definetley getting this one. Also the voice acting improved a lot
It's just so mediocre. The music, designs, the sounds of the monsters and voice acting, nothing stands out. It excels at nothing and so far we have not seen how a standard level is; can we expect opportunities for different styles of gameplay? are the levels more open or is it strictly linear or is it mix?
see1 hour of opening level gameplay. It's much more open.
>It's just so mediocre
So it's still a massive upgrade from the first one? I'm still amazed that game has any fans, but there always seems to be about two people posting about how it was the best game ever.
When it comes to TEW, I can't really call myself a fan, it's like a 5-6/10. But I am looking forward to TEW 2 mainly because I'm a fan of the genre, so I'm hoping the game's an improvement over the first.
That being said I did enjoy the first game when I played through it, though I've never gone back to replay it.
It's*
Goodness, does nobody on this site know how an apostrophe work?
Let's just go back to SH mechanics where the enemies run really slow at you and 3 wacks kills them. Would that help nostalgia fag?
beats REmake and RE5 Jill. Kidman's closer to live action Jill which is a good thing.
fuck of retard this have nothing to do with how fast or slow the enemies are
Well than, tell me how you would make a survival horror. It's funny how you shit on stealth mechanics when the whole point of survival is to avoid detection.
I thought Debra morgan from dexter was the VA for kidman. The fuck happened?
Why did they change Sebastian design? He looks so generic now
She was so hot in this movie
fuck
>grammar carps
An absolute state of british "people"
>No collectors edition
>Not even a special edition
What are they thinking?
>no day one DLC bullshit
>no announcement of season pass yet
such a rare sight
He's gone through a role transition from hardboiled detective to crazed parent for this game so they've softened his look and put him in dad clothes.
didnt the first game run like shit on pc? what are the chances of this goin good?
looks like a shitty tlou cash in, which is incredibly ironic
After watching the one hour gameplay, I'm pretty much sold. Hoping it does well.
I hope there's not that many chase or stealth sections in the game, or if there are, you can defeat the enemy for cool shit like Nemesis in RE3. I'd take it even if you could only do it in NG+ for more powerful stuff to play around with.
