The gang's all here! Tenshinhan and Yamucha just got revealed as playable characters. Artificial Human #21 also got revealed as a story mode character. She's an original Arcsys character designed by Toriyama. How's the beta treating you?

Reminder to calm down about Android 21. She's a story mode character, not playable like Tien or Yamcha.

Reminder that SSB's designs + Kaioken, Tien's design, and Bulma and 18's designs in the story mode all confirm that it takes place around the time of Super and that there may, therefore, be Super characters in the game.

We don't know yet, you're jumping to conclusions. Either way it's ok, whether she is story only or not.

I made my disdain and disapproval of a shitty pointless inclusion of a woman, and an OC at that, into the game, eating up valuable funding and screen time.

She doesn't have gameplay related mentions such as screenshots or stats graph that Yamcha and Tien get in their reveals. The V Jump article mentions that she's an important character in the story and that's it.

OC are pretty common in Dragon Ball games. You can just read the manga or watch the anime if you want the same stories being told a thousand times like they have since 1984. Yeah I'm pretty sure all of them will make it. Black is the only less definite one since there's so many variations to choose from so it's hard to know which they'll pick. Probably either Rose or Fused Zamasu.

Never if Super is any indication. They're like 12-13 years old and still look like they're 9. Trunks is now the same age Future Trunks was during the OVA and manga special featuring Future Gohan and they look nothing alike physically. Super ain't allowing them to age.

Kind of hoped they'd put Yamcha in his bandit or baseball uniform and give him some stuff based off of that, but I'll wait and see how he plays I guess.

He translates well into vidya. His moves are practically made for it. Canonical power levels don't matter too much (if at all) in video games. He won't be doing as much damage as the Saiyans but I'm sure he'll have some niche to call his own. Besides, it's a 3v3 so you can afford to use weaker characters if they have something to offer to the stronger characters in your team.

The Saiyans are Super Saiyan by default. Goku and Vegeta Blue are separate characters with revamped fighting styles and philosophies. The original Goku and Vegeta are entry level characters for everyone to learn the game or whatever whereas their Blue counterparts demand more skill to use and have varied movesets while still reusing some of the assets from their original counterparts.

Because humanity needs to be defended from the galactic menace that is Sayans. Since normal humans can't stand up to those belligerent monsters he had to find another way to level the playing field.
Frieza did a service to entire universe by genociding them, it's a shame he couldn't finish the job.

This is from the last episode of Z, which was based on the last chapter of Z, they're 4 years away from this at the most.

The same was often said about the original 17&18. There are a lot of characters that "don't fit" the DB aesthetic but people get used to it after the arc's over. She looks perfectly fine right next to #16; she's very much a Toriyama design.
