the pissed off video game reviewer... look out.. he's ANGRY!
Just tell me the score/
7/10
Wrong
6/10
Based Joe
"It's a 7/10! It's a good game! See you next year for the next Angry Review show! In the meanwhile here's some low quality filler bullshit to justify my increasing weight."
Why do people watch his reviews? He is a faggot that never enjoys video games. Have you even watched his streaming? Never paying attention to the games, reading donations majority of the time and hating on games for the slightest of mistakes. He is worse than your average normie gamer. Don't watch his reviews.
>not linking
cmon bro keep up
Thank God! Seriously, I needed someone to form my opinion for me!
youtube.com
Fine here
As much as I hate him as a person, he nails his reviews every time and it's not often I disagree with his reviews.
So, how long till he goes on vacation again?
It's really concerning who people who follow e-celebs are like this. "What did you think of game x?!"
It's pathetic. It's always Pissed Off Pedro, and Red Letter Media that I see people quoting on games and movies
>he nails his reviews every time
You can't be serious. His scores are complete joke, just look at this shit.
>No Man's Sky 5/10
>Vanilla Destiny 6/10
>Vanilla Destiny 2 6/10
>Metal Gear Rising 7/10
>Zelda Breath of The Wild 9/10
>Skyrim 10/10
...
I think I've seen this idiot somewhere before. Something about saying that Suicide Squad was an aweseome movie.
Can someone explain to me why all these retards have to implement skits into their videos? They're the absolute fucking worst.
Why do people act like this guy is a credible source? What makes him unique besides the whole 'GRRR IM ANGRY' thing? Oh wait it isn't.
I don't know about rising but the only thing wrong here is Skyrim. No game is perfect, and it's an 8 at best. 7 at worse. As for Botw. Only people that obsess over shit things like Sterling does with the breakable weapons would not think Botw is a 9/10 game.
Holy shit Jose is fucking fat now
7 dollars
Literally the only thing wrong here is skyrim.
>safespace joe
He hardly even played the fucking game.
He streamed a playthrough of the main story and a majority of the time his friend was playing while he was messing around with soundboards.
$7/$10
Adding more for comparison
>RE7 9/10
>Battlefield 1 8/10
>For Honor 7/10
>Outlast 2 6/10
>Evolve 5/10
>The Division 5/10
BotW is at the absolutely most a 8/10 with how many issues it has
Not even close
>he complains how the raid is too hard
The absolute state of Pissed Paco
What is his name again?
why do you retards obsess over him
Heavy hombre
All fine sans Skyrim
now?
looks like he will be the next boogie
has to weight like 230-250
like, every since BF1 review he has bloated hard
Other than botw and skyrim being 2 points higher than they should be, I see nothing wrong.
>No Man's Sky is literally missing over half the content they promised as well as being the exact same game for the whole 20 some hours a playthrough will take
>Destiny, a game with a total of six "builds" including worthless builds and two pieces of endgame content
>Rising only having a 7 despite the only fault with it being the length of the game
FOUR
Apart from skyrim, thats accurate
RE7 and Battlefield 1 are a point or two too high, but accurate as well
You just keep posting more correct opinions.
No mans sky, the game where the developers didn't even play test it enough to find out that the only item you have to scavenge shit can avoid one of the major statistics of the upgrades available, deserves a 5/10? The one where the devs had to hide and work on the game for over half a year to get even close to what was promised would be the launch version of the game?
>The Spoon was the popular one with a rising star
>Now a drunkdard who hasn't made a vid since 2014

>Somehow has millions of subs and a big ass house
help me out Sup Forums I keep forgetting that guy's name
>botw ... being 2 points higher than they should
Why does BotW cause THIS much butthurt from Sonybros?
No man's sky is a mediocre indie game, 5/10 is a mediocre score.
fuck i have some itchy shit on my arm that i thought was some kinda bite
do i have fucking shingles too?
i like final fantasy 8, so this shouldn't happen to me right?
>Inb4 a flood of Mexican names even thoes he's Puerto Rican
skyrim score is dumb, never played destiny and i'd rate rising more of an 8 than a 7 but i don't see the problem there, no man's sky isn't the travesty people say it is, the game isn't so much of a problem as the lying scumbag developers
>the only item you have to scavenge shit can avoid one of the major statistics of the upgrades available
In English, please.
>be idort
>play BotW
>it's a literal 7/10
>maybe a 6/10 if you're extremely butthurt by its garbage optimization, framerate, and chugging harder than a steam train
Every Zelda is a literal 10/10 to fanboys and I wouldn't for a second think that Joe is downright afraid of going too hard on nintendo ips
Get out of here with this e-celeb shit.
>>>>neogaf
>>>>reddit
God why does he do the costume bits, it's fucking cringe
>all the problems Destiny1 had at launch that Destiny2 massively improved on
>still rated the same
>also that blatant misunderstanding of mechanics and the core focus of the game
Yeah, nah.
He gets into some very weird butthurt moments like getting a repeated exotic, then says he'd rather get less less often but no repeats like the first game... except the first game gave you repeats too, it was just as random. In fact engrams at launch would often give you a lower tier item than the engram's color (legendary could give you blues for example). Then he also bitches about the added Shader grind, and yet ignroes the fact that you no longer need to level up and spend materials on armor and weapon perks (something that actually affects gameplay), they already come maxed out, as well as class progression being 20x faster. He also mentions that exploration (meaning the map activities in general, I assume) is the same, when Destiny2 obviously has better open areas with many more activities in them. He never ever mentions any of those "little" and yet very relevant improvements.
The two major flaws of his review is that he's still focusing on Destiny as a singleplayer game, he cares waaaaaay too much about the campaign which has a completely different goal in a MMO than it does on a shooter like Halo. In Halo it's supposed to be hard and more fleshed out because that's all there is to the game (outside of the seperated MP), the campaign IS Halo's end-goal and whole purpose. While in Destiny2, much like any other MMO, the "main quest" is just a way of presenting new players with the game's mechanics, it's the first thing even the most casual newcomer will do in the game, it's the introduction designed to be beaten by anyone and the harder content is in the end-game activities like Prestige Nightfall and Raid.
The other major flaw is that he took opinions from a random friend into his review, namely all the end-game which he didn't play (230 was his light level)
I literally have my switch charging right next to me. Zelda's big issues is that there are no interesting Zelda style dungeons or Zelda style bosses (other than Ganon's final form).
It also sucks that even the best end game weapons (excluding the fully upgraded master sword) wont last you for even a single lynel fight before breaking.
Fuck off.
Oh I forgot to mention his stance towards the story. For example he didn't know who Rasputin was because he never played any of Destiny's Xpacs. He went to twitter (for a similar reason) and complained that he shouldn't need to play the first the understand every story element of the sequel. That's just straight up retarded. What does he expect? That none of the DLC's add ANYTHING to the story and that they don't expand on it whatsoever? What he can skip two seasons of a television series and expect to know everything by jumping straight into the 4th season?
I really didn't get his point there.
/OUR GUY/
Destiny isnt an MMO though. The plot is better than the first game only because the first game literally had no plot, but theres still tons of problems like a rushed second half, Ghaul being a wasted character, and the raid just being cabal themed because its the only race that didnt have a raid in D1 despite the raid having no bearing on the plot.
Xbro Sega kid Joe had never played a proper LoZ game before. He shouldn't be allowed to review BotW.
someone post the syria edit
>game slightly improves on Destiny
>basically the same game
>gets the same scoret
the only problem is 6 is too high for both of them
>don't judge it on its campaign
>judge it on its 5 strikes and 1 raid
How do we fix destinyfags?
Real irdort here.
You're literally a butthurt fanboy if you don't think BotW, Hollow Knight, and Persona 5 are the three best games this year.
Reminder.

About a point or two higher, but close enough.
he was actually pretty good looking when he wasn't fat
This fat faggot doesn't know what he's talking about
Destiny 1 and 2 follow all the conventions of a modern MMO. It has quests to level you up to the endgame, it has dungeons, it has raids, it has reputations to grind, it has mounts to farm, it has pvp side activities.
It's only difference from a normal MMO is the lobby sizes and a lack of trading and crafting.
>rates Fallout 4 two points below his Skyrim review
So? That's still accurate. FO4 is the worst of Bethesda's first persong ARPGs
thanks user! make sure you buy the expansion pass to experience the full Destiny experience!
I fucking hate Luke Smith. He has such a punchable face and will say exactly what I don't want to hear in the exact way I don't want to hear it.
>bungie thought him punching out a fictional character personifying corporate greed and incompetence was a call for violence against them

literally a cuck
I'm not the one aiding in Bethsturd's franchise rape.
>Why does BotW cause THIS much butthurt from Sonybros?
For the same reason they get emotional about Skyrim. They are shit people with shit taste.
We're talking about the same class of people that i once saw complain that Skyrim's Nordic puzzle doors weren't fair because they couldn't figure out the combination. And I'm not being sarcastic about that... Nordic puzzle doors in Skyrim are legit causal filters for Sonyniggs.
>Listening to someone because they're popular
How is that not being cucked?
>Destiny isnt an MMO though.
It is in almost any possible definition. Even if you want to be autistic about it just call it "MMO-lite" or something to that effect. You clearly know what I meant by "MMO".
The rest of your post is about the campaign, which is my eyes is 10% of the game and not worth giving any attention to for reasons I already gave.
And what's the problem with the raid exactly? Would you want another Hive-themed raid because it would better suit the plot? You'd rather sacrifice gameplay and new themes/scenery because of plot? Also although I don't follow the story all that closely I highly doubt the raid is unrelated to Destiny's mythos. Isn't he the ultimate Cabal emperor or something? How does that NOT have any bearing on the plot?
>game slightly improves on Destiny
Nope, massive improvements. It's not even funny how much better launch Destiny2 is to Destiny1. Perhaps people have forgotten how bad it was and only remember post-TTK content, progression and mechanics. D2 is 3 points above D1 at launch, easily.
>the only problem is 6 is too high for both of them
I can agree Destiny1 at launch was overrated. Doesn't mean Destiny2 isn't better.
>judge it on its 5 strikes and 1 raid
>How do we fix destinyfags?
6* Strikes. And I only said he paid way too much attention to the campaign, not that he should ONLY focus on Strikes and Raids. There's also Nightfall, Trials, Adventures, Blue Quests, much improved public events, Lost Sectors, and the whole grind loop of the game (THE most important aspect) being better. Fucking hell in the review he says glimmer is useless and 1 second later contradicts himself by saying you can buy mods (which are the glimmer dump of the game and highly relevant for builds later on)
I will buy every one that comes with a raid, yes. I'm not a retard so I don't expect content for free. Especially when there's no subscription. Compared to MMO's Destiny's quite cheap in fact.
Watch out, if you keep correcting misinformation they may call you a shill again
as much as rustled Rodriguez got this Destiny review right he is still a 32 year old filthy casual who's first console was an xbox360.
you don't have to agree with it, there are tons of outlets to form an opinion without actually paying for it.
The plot is important because its coming from Bungie, people who were previously renowned for the writing quality of their games. Both Destinys are more of a fall than a step down, and should be judged as such.
Also because during TTK expansion, the cabal send a distress beacon to the Emperor, yet instead of an invasion force from the Emperor we get a throwaway villain like Ghaul, who dies in a cutscene instead of by the player's hands, even though he is a boss and thats just bad game design.
Then we have the Emperor meander his way into the solar system not giving two fucks about what's going on because LOL DUDE IM SO DRUNK GIVE ME WINE LMAO.
>The plot is important
Oh yeah yeah. The first thing I think about when I play multiplayer games with friends like WoW, FF14, MonsterHunter, PSO, Destiny, etc is the plot. THAT's what pushes me. It's totally not something that only 5% of the population gives any shit about or anything.
> its coming from Bungie, people who were previously renowned for the writing quality of their games.
Are they, though? Even as a teen growing up on Halo and reading the books, searching wikis, etc I though the execution of the plot in-game was very basic, simplistic and a wasted effort. There was such a darker tone in the books and more interesting material there. The games always had the mass-market appeal in mind and polished any edgyness out of the books. For example Spartan3's in Reach weren't lolis or teens, they were just rugged old Spartan2 clones with no gameplay differences.
I'm more familiar with Halo's universe than I am with Destiny's and I can't agree that the games do a good job with Halo's overall world. They touch on the hollywood-esque part of 1 character and the two side-story games are pretty disappointing both story and gameplay-wise. I'd never imagine that a ODST, Spartan2 and Spartan3 would play and act so similar.
>Both Destinys are more of a fall than a step down, and should be judged as such.
I agree. We all know about the shit that went down during production. However Destiny isn't a singeplayer focused game with a seperate MP mode liek halo. It's a MMO. It's a loot game. The fact that the story isn't as good shouldn't have nearly as much impact as it did in Halo.
> the cabal send a distress beacon to the Emperor, yet instead (...) we get a throwaway villain like Ghaul
AFAIK the emperor doesn't give that much of a shit about the Traveler. He's the emperor of a species that never needed it, he devours planetary systems.
Ghaul is the one that cared about being blessed by the light and wanted a coup d'état, he had a reason to come.
Guess the fat fuck suddenly found the time to make quick game reviews all of a sudden
I liked the division
snowy operatan, gear queering, comfy story, killing looters
shame it was kinda shit late game with the stats on some guns making them super meta
Me too, I bought it last week and have been enjoying it but the end game gets stale pretty quickly.
>roughly 60% of review are quick skits, vids double-dipped straight from his streams or other youtube videos
>opinions recycled straight from his twitter feed
He's such a lazy scam artist.
A lot of marketing was on the plot for Destiny, you forget that. Im not saying judge most of the game on that, Destiny is a looter shooter about grinding, but it was supposed to have a huge story to go with it and the first game had nothing but the grimoire cards that you couldnt even read in game and that have now been removed from Bungie's site and destiny app .
The problem with the Cabal raid is that coming off of Atheon being the next Vex threat after the Black Garden, Crota's buildup in the DLC, killing Skolas on his terms in Prion of Elders, slaying Oryx once and for all in his expansion, and then destroying the House of Devil's SIVA-infested leader, here we have the titular villain killed in the story and a secondary villain who doesnt have any impact on the plot take his place as the raid boss.
It was a good twist to learn that the whole reason the cabal destroy planets is just to grind their resources into wine for the Emperor, but it feels poorly managed. I know the collectors edition came with a letter from emperor calus telling players to kill Ghaul and his goons to earn his favor, but that doesnt really excuse it since nothing of that sort is mentioned in the main game at any point.
The raids used to have buildup, and Destiny 2 didnt have that. If the raid was about finishing off Ghaul in his light-infused body with the remainder of the Red Legion, that woulve been more appropriate, and then Bungie could build up Calus for the next game and do his entrance properly.
He lost my subscription when he decided to branch out from standard game reviews into movies, board games etc.
I preferred it when it was just him and other-joe doing reviews. Delrith and all the other randos in his channel can fuck right off.
Here's the thinking man's guide to scores out of 10:
>1 = Everyone will hate it
>2 = most people will hate it, some will merely dislike it
>3 = most people will dislike it, some will hate it
>4 = most people will dislike it
>5 = some people will dislike it
>6 = Some people will like it
>7 = Most people will like it
>8 = Most people will like it, some will love it
>9 = Most people will love it, some will merely like it
>10 = Everyone will love it
Given this is pretty much the best gauge for deciding scores on when pitching to a general audience (Obviously you should reexamine the audience to a more niche crowd when talking about more niche games or else the score will get thrown off, most people would dislike Dwarf Fortress for example, but that doesn't make it a fucking 3 our of 10; you have to adjust for the potential player base.), these scores don't seem THAT bad. They're only out of whack by 1 point in most cases, and if they're adjusted specifically for Sup Forums tastes. They're somewhat accurate for a normie audience.
who said it was because they're popular.
First: consider that they may be popular either in execution of their reviews or their substance but so long as they accurately present the state of the game, who cares?
Second, reviews aren't to give you your opinion, you read through the whole review and get the details of the game to make a judgement yourself

He started streaming again. Apparently he's pretty good now, but that was when he first started again so I don't know if he's been able to maintain that.
surprisingly high zelda review score for someone who never touched a zelda game before botw
that's not how it works
>1-6 = trashbin
>7 = awful
>8 = good but Sup Forums says its shit

Near the end he was going to give it a 7/10 but then switched to 6/10 cause of DLC
