Ape Escape is god tier

true bliss
Bravo, Terada
I was ready to buy PS3 for Ape Escape 4, but nope! fuck that no more Ape Escape, only shit and fake dreams
AE 1 = fucking best game, minor ps1 clunkiness but I still play it every now and then.
AE 2 = still really good and I agree with OP. Only problem, it was way too easy.
AE 3 = Hot damn, even easier than 2 but still fantastic. The outfits were really fun but made the game waaaaaay too easy. Bonus point for puffy loli.
How would you make Ape Escape 4, user?
It was nice
Never played 3. Coudln't find it anywhere when I had my old ps2 and it's quite hard to emulate properly.
Damn I really want to.
It's a fun game.
My man, AE2 is really good but I prefer 3 due to the transformations and Soichi Terada soundtrack
I would love a remaster of the original trilogy but on the other hand the graphics of these games are timeless so I guess having them properly emulated would suffice for me.
>2
>the best
What about 3, user?
PCSX2 is slowly improving but still needs an Intel processor to even run these games properly, much better than now than it has been the last 4 or 5 years though
Surprised there hasn't been a proper trilogy remaster yet.
This
Indeed.
It pains me that ps2 games as a whole run quite poorly compared to gamecube/wii though.
Impossible not to jam to this.

How would Ape Escape 4 be made?
3 japs full of coke writing a script while Tarada and Hayama play violins next to them.
More of the same, AE1 difficulty at the very least. Don't have to go crazy with gadgets like AE 2. but rather have couple of multipurpose gadgets.
Same great soundtrack. And continue with great level designs as previous games. What can I say, I pretty much liked the series as is.

the composer actually did proper jungle tunes outside of games, which is why the vibe here is so smooth
AE3 would be amazing if the game was in any way designed around the morphs.
mind you, not using them makes the game more annoying than hard, what with the annoying dodge rate
one thing I wish was expanded on a tad was keeping your morph stock filled all the time, so you'd run around in a frenzy bopping enemies to keep it topped up so you could use it to catch monkeys
Why did they cut off Jake's ponytail?
NO MY CHILDHOOD
>AE3 will never get on PS4's ps2 classics section at this point. Its been rated by the esrb for years but still nothing.
Must be the MGS content.
Maybe if they remaster the trilogy, they could replace it with another crossover minigame based on Knack
>last fucking like
>"Spike, I can see your panties"
dying
Spike is a bit of a fag
DID SOMEBODY SAY KNACK BABY
As a spaniard this made me both proud and embarassed, but mostly proud.
Fuck you, Dunkey.
Should have memed Ape Escape 4 instead.
what is it like being spanish, anyway?
It depends on the time period really.
600 years ago you were raping and plundering virgin islands.
20 years ago you were your average european with great gastronomy and beautiful beaches and bitches.
Nowadays you are mostly poor, unhappy and want to shoot yourself but you have no gun possesion rights so you may as well just play vidya to ease the pain.
ok
Quick question on AE2. I remember the one thing I hated was that I would want to capture every monkey in a level but once you get the set amount of them you are automatically are teleported out of the level. Was I just a dumbass or could you not avoid being teleported out? I hated it as I essentially had to do levels twice before moving on.
You couldn't allow it.
It was made for you to come back after you beat the game with the boxing glove and pick up the secret monkeys.
There are some monkeys you couldn't catch in the first run of some levels without certain gadgets, so the game just wants the player to move on and come back later with some of the levels having certain rooms and stuff, AE1 handled that the best imo
