Rarely even play games anymore, bought a PS3 three years ago when it was pretty end of its generation and it has been collecting dust ever since.

Have we outgrown videogames or have videogames outgrown us? I don't feel like I'm the targeted demographic of about 95% modern games; yet I can still have fun with a few good ones now and then.

The more you consume something, the more critical you become towards it. Back in youth I enjoyed playing even "just OK, I guess" -tier games, now a game has to be damn good to have even a smallest chance of me actually completing it. When you have seen so much of vidya, the cookie-cutter stuff just doesn't do it anymore.
