I thought you told me this shit was good.
I thought you told me this shit was good
I thought you told me you'd stop sucking penises.
it is
It's very good by 3D Sonic standards.
Which means it's like a 6/10 just about passable experience.
Unleashed was better overall, but it's still not a bad step considering we got Sonic 4 prior.
It's alright, which by modern Sonic standards is really fucking good.
good
>90% of the bosses
>city escape
>seaside hill
>speed highway?
bad
>everything else
>the most homegenized, "informed" opinions
Go back.
>upset adventurecuck
It's ok and I don't even like 3D sanic
>He liked Heroes
>He liked Heroes more than SA2
>one mediocre game throughout
>versus some decent levels and boring bullshit in between
Pick your poison
It's impossible for 3D sonic to be good because it always controls like ass
>sonic 2 is amazing
It's decent at best.
>adventures were bad
>sonic heroes was good
>shadow was bad
>colors was good
>generations was good
>lost world was good
This is every popular opinion e-celebs have tried to force, especially that the adventures were bad, leave arin.
>try playing at 60fps on PC
>camera and physics are buggy
>limit framerate to 30fps
>problem is fixed but it looks like it's running in slow motion because 30fps a shit
wtf, I thought people said this had a good PC version
Fuck off, retard.
Colors and lost wirld are shit
The Adventure games were pretty shitty though. This is the franchise that was competing with Mario for fuck's sake.
>liking Lost World more than the Dreamcast-era games
>Not hating Secret Rings more than the Dreamcast-era games
Fuck Sonic Adventure, its the one who started all that bullshit.
Why can't they just go back to real sonic and erase any characters that isnt Sonic Tails and Knuckles? The godamn green eyes needs to go.
There's something hilariously wrong when the fans are making the only good games in the series.
How are shit?
I won't argue that they're art, but they have undeniably good parts to them.
It's okay. What problems do you have?
crisis city sucks and the side missions suck, but the rest is pretty solid at worst
also, Unleashed's main acts are loads better than Generations', go install Unleashed Project
I was never that impressed by the Sonic stages. They had a lot of automatic shit going on. They were the best stages though.
Everything else was pretty much filler you had to sift through to get to the "good" parts and it amazes me that people defend this shit as if it's a sound design decision.
>Why can't they just go back to real sonic and erase any characters that isnt Sonic Tails and Knuckles?
People like them. Shadow is the second most popular character in the series.
sa 1:
Sonic stages weren't perfect, but if you played them more than once with the goal of impoving your time, they became pretty good.
>tails
essentially sonic, you could even argue his segment doesn't count due to this
>knuckles
fluff, but still not bad
>amy
>fluff, but is more gimmicky than actually bad
>gamma
Shooting was decent and he had the best story, what's not to like.
>big
self-explanatory
I could go more in-depth, but that summarizes things.
sa 2:
sonic/shadow
very linear, but not so automated like future games even before boost
>knuckles/rouge
practically the same, >shittier radar is not an excuse
>tails/eggman
literal shit
Again, I could go more in-depth, but this is summarizes things.
The first one had more good to it, but fluff means fluff, not bad.
>but fluff means fluff, not bad.
>Why can't they just go back to real sonic and erase any characters that isnt Sonic Tails and Knuckles?
because they aren't the problem and haven't ever actually been the root of the problem
Sonic Team's own incompetence is.
>oh hey, let's add more shit that no one wants that isn't Sonic
>oh hey, let's rush this shit out the door
>oh hey, all the talent left because and now no one left actually knows why people even liked Sonic in the first place
The Sonic Adventure games are really automated, but it's satisfying, you know?
the issue is that the stages need to be a bit more open-ended with layouts and self-intersect more and not look like corridors so much.
SA1's Red Mountain is a great example. SA2 unfortunately never does anything like that (well, maybe Final Rush, but that stage is also like 70% rails in space)
also, in SA1, you can ignore the shit and just go right to the good bits (unless you hate the adventure fields)
SA2 has way too much bullshit in the way though.
>tfw 06 is no longer non canon because of Generations
thanks Iizuka
I'm not trying to say it deserved to be there, just that it doesn't take away from the experience if it's not tedious and isn't done in excess.
>if it's not tedious
>treasure hunting
>holding a button to kill everything
>not tedious
works fine for me on a laptop. Sounds like your problem
>colors better than generations
nah b
Isn't Generations non-canon as well?
>holding a button
>aiming isn't involved
It was the level design/movement that made the mechs shit.
>treasure hunting
>can't learn to use a radar
>can't use a hintbox
>no classic knuckles
>no ice cap zone
>modern super sonic drains rings quickly when boost
>classic super sonic is slower than his base form
>classic sonic only got 2 boss fights while modern gets 4
it was decent but they could of did better for a 20th anniversary sonic game
