What are your hopes and expectations for the DLC, and what do you think of Pack 1 so far?

Master mode is shit

Trial of the sword is great

I can not beat Trial of the Sword on master mode. It feels impossible. I must suck a dick at this game.

>hopes
Prequel+sequel with multiple large dungeons. Plot centered around Ganon
>expectations
Sequel only with one gigantic dungeon. Plot centered around rebuilding

1. Fucking dungeons
2. A fucking good storyline
3. Useful items

Master mode was disappointing, Trail is the best combat arena in the game, the costumes were cool, and you can draw a dick using the hero map thing. Overall a 5. I hope the new dungeon is like Hyrule castle with a mix of the traditional dungeon design.

>I hope the new dungeon is like Hyrule castle with a mix of the traditional dungeon design.

My nigga. Everyone seems to want just a classic Zelda dungeon, but Hyrule castle's approachability blew my mind.

Can you switch Master Mode back to regular mode? Basically fighting more than 1 is not worth it, bullet sponge enemies, and regen health is complete bullshit. They could have atleast raised weapon durability for it because even good weapons go fast as fuck. Wish I didnt start on this bullshit.

Yeah, I love how non-linear and large it is. Really felt like I was tackling some impregnable fortness.

youtube.com/watch?v=2aWHkYWslcw

They have separate savefiles so yes. I liked the idea of master mode (and still kind of do) but the regenerating health is just plain annoying

>wanting ANOTHER Ganon plot again

No I was talking about keeping my save, just checked and it doesn't look like I can continue my master mode on regular. Fuck it all.

Already sold the game.

>>hopes
>new runes
>new hyrule castle style dungeon that is larger but with some puzzles
>more enemies
>new storyline
>>expectations
Everything in hopes but no new rune

What can the new rune even be? I can't think of anything

A grapplehook rune? Can make it act as a whip too

>Hopes
A huge, do-it-your-way dungeon (they teased "a forest dungeon" back in the days "where you could get lost into") with a brand new boss with multiple phases. I don't mind enemy reskins if they add some new abilities to them and populate the overworld more. Still hoping a hunters guild of sorts, but that's never gonna happen.

>Expectations
A glorified shrine or divine beast -esque dungeon where you communicate with the champions ghosts. Useless but cool new armor and maybe a new weapon type.

Dlc 1 was fine, but felt like filler and I was hoping the classic items had small questlines tied to them. Master trials is kinda cool, haven't finished it yet.

How many hearts do I need before tackling the master trials? I keep getting my shit kicked in at 10 hearts

BOTW was such a fucking disappointment. I'll replay it when all the DLC comes out and I upgrade my PC but I know there was barely anything to the fucking game so I'm not even looking forward to it.

(You)

I went it by 20 hearts with 30min hearty food

I think it's legit hard. Or in some cases bullshit hard. The health recovery thing is a bitch.

I just want to travel with Zelda around hyrule

>have 4 hearts left
>scramble up the skull
>spam bombs
>enemies retreat
>turns out they regenerated all their health by the time I get down

>no decent towns
>no memorable characters
>shit tier story with basically null pacing
>dungeons were piss easy and forgettable
>>>shrines
I'm mainly looking forward to mods and taking screenshots, the game itself is garbage.

Honestly I just want new enemies. The game will truly be a 10/10 like that

You try to hard user, have another (You)

Last two I agree with to a certain point but the rest is bullshit. BOTW was basically amazing at everything but being a Zelda game.

This. I would even take an escort mission

>but being a Zelda game.
exactly what I'm getting at, Zelda used to be good at all of that shit.

Been playing the game for about 30 hours now. About to go into the lost woods, and after that I want to finally go for the divine beasts.

Is there a 'definitive' order I should do them in or does it not matter at all? My autism demands to know

Personally I went
Rito>Zora>Goron>Gerudo

Do the top left one first and top right last. Top right has the most useful reward and the top right one has the most useless and visually ugly reward.

I mean at the end of the day it's still great at what it set out to do and I really doubt there will be an adventure game which will come close to BOTW greatness in the adventure and world aspect anytime soon. I was never really a huge Zelda fanboy so this was a nice breath of fresh air for me with Zelda.
Zora and Guerdo are the best by far so save those for last. Rito is trash and Goron is aight.

I thought the adventure game aspects were garbage though, the game world was fucking empty. It wasn't better than many of the other big ones made in the past decade. You could just climb.

I just want new enemies. At least one that's on the same level as the Lynel, that's fun to fight over and over. The enemy and boss variety is depressing.

MM Goron rolling armor bonus for Goron armor.

MM Zora swimming armor bonus for Zora armor.

Unrealistically I want GanonDORF to make an appearance.

>empty world meme
Do you fucks have ADHD or something?

Or just shit taste?

It's quite literally devoid of interesting things. I explored nearly every corner of the game. Taste has nothing to do with it, this is a fact.

>(they teased "a forest dungeon" back in the days "where you could get lost into")
That was just a "rumor" that someone pulled out of their ass and there was never a source. The only good it did was give us some sweet pieces of fanart.

I understand how you feel honestly, BOTW isn't for everyone. If you can't make your own fun in BOTW I can see it feeling empty for some people. For me it felt like it was a great wilderness and exploring experience. That quests were fun and so were the shrines. The enemies and combat left much to be desired but I still have so much fun just dicking around in the big wonderful world. Also it is basically post apocalypse Hyrule, can't expect traders everywhere. A solid 8/10, add actual dungeons to it and more enemy diversity then it's game of the decade to me.

I wish Master Mode was just a New Game + that kept all of your inventory and upgrades like Zelda II.

I was going to re-do the whole series in Hero Mode but that shit is way too fucking tedious for BotW. Fuck redoing a game that big.

>this is a fact
>because I don't think it's interesting it's not
Ahh the tears of autists

So basically there is a high chance of the DLC making the game the game if the decade for you?

I did make my own fun but that doesn't change how shitty the game was considering who it was made by. There's really no saving Nintendo from this downward spiral though, apparently.

Saying the game has great wilderness is stupid too, what the fuck is 'wild' about the game when there are only a couple enemy types and near zero thread in exploration? Even the areas with the temperature mechanic pissed me off because it was so fucking casual.

>Also it is basically post apocalypse Hyrule
Read; Nintendo is lazy. 6/10 at best

Tell me about those interesting things.

...

I just want more epic story. I like really the story in BotW and found it refreshing after the extremely linear and cutscene-heavy story of the past zeldas but after that break I think i'm ready to return

>tell me about those interesting things
Why would I when you would just dismiss them as boring shit? I have been through this song and dance many times. In fact I think I have talked to you before, your posting style is so familiar

I have a very strong feeling you didn't want to like the game in the first place. Why the fuck would you get pissed at a mechanic for being "casual"?

>900 Korok puzzles
that's a bullshit statement, there's 900 seeds to find but the "puzzles" you have to do for them are repeated constantly, and then the game derides you if you want to find them all. I wouldn't list that as a highlight

Maybe? I mean I don't know whats even gonna be in it, no one does.
Right, thought you might not have been a shitposter but I was clearly wrong
>Even the areas with the temperature mechanic pissed me off because it was so fucking casual
The fuck does this even mean? Right, no more (You)'s.

We do know there will be a new dungeon

What fucking causes blood moons? Is it some sort of optimization thing to free up some memory or something when it’s running a little high?

Let's speculate about how big Wolf Link's knot is

>Is it some sort of optimization thing to free up some memory
Yes
youtube.com/watch?v=L8LQZcZEQgg

1 new dungeon isn't enough to make up for the mediocre dungeons in BOTW.

this
>le rock in 'suspicious' place puzzle
>le shoot these baloons puzzle
>le put the apple in this bowl puzzle
>le dive in this lilypads puzzle
>etc etc
>repeat 50 times each

dumbest shit ever

How are they mediocre?

>implying I'll read that fanboy shit
Present an actual argument like a grown up

Because we both know they are boring shit. Rhetorical question.
>he's acting paranoid like XV-kun
Zelda threads are already in the shitter?

I did like it but it's a fucking bad game considering its in the Zelda series. Can you niggers not even read?
>Why the fuck would you get pissed at a mechanic for being "casual"?
I brought that up as a point against his "great wilderness". The game wasn't wild.

>wear easily found piece of gear, don't even need the full set
>nullifies all temperature mechanic
I thought you would have to actually prepare for cold or warm areas ala TW1 on hard mode. But nah, just baby tier gimmicks.

>Right, thought you might not have been a shitposter but I was clearly wrong
Also fuck off and discuss the game properly you fucking loser. I wrote you a paragraph I'm not shitposting.

I thought the puzzles in them were pretty strong, some of the strongest in all the 3D zeldas. Boss fights were meh but I don't think they are that much worse than the usual ones. Main beef I have is with the size

>Present an actual argument like a grown up
I've been waiting for one first.

@390552661
Nice try shitposter-kun, almost got me to give you another (You)
Also this

Ah, thanks for proving me right. I knew you would say they won't count because you said so. So why bother?

And your paragraph is absolute shit. Just because they are not much enemies types doesn't mean it's not wild.

Anyways, no more (You)s. You already revealed yourself as being unwilling to discuss anything because you are confident your opinion is the only right one.

I hope they add playable memories. Would love to play as link in the scene where he collapsed. The temple with the guardians came close but that scene was cool as hell as well

Exactly my thoughts. Master Mode is one of the most poorly implemented Hard modes I've ever played in a videogame.

Trial of the Sword is perfect because of the same reason Eventide Island was perfect: The concept of robbing you of your items and forcing you to craftily utilize sticks and stones to work your way back up to being a capable warrior is complemented wonderfully by the game's mechanics.

Why are (you) even here?

>Just because they are not much enemies types doesn't mean it's not wild.
lol
"an uncultivated, uninhabited, and inhospitable region."
Since we're talking about video games with combat, "inhospitable" should be the main point. It sure is uninhabited though. Read: empty.
>Anyways, no more (You)s. You already revealed yourself as being unwilling to discuss anything because you are confident your opinion is the only right one.
Stop sperging already nobody cares if you can't argue about a game you like and have to run away like a little bitch. You say I'm unwilling to discuss the game but I've typed more than all of you autists in these exchanges.

There's a low amount of seeds you need and 99.9% of them are a complete waste of time. Is this really the fun jam packed content you're implying it to be? Am I crazy for not having fun with this on a second time through the game?

I really enjoyed some moments in the Zora and Gerudo dungeons but it honestly got old and samey after that. Dungeons all looked and felt the same from the inside and just didn't feel unique. Its like I was just playing an extension of the other dungeons. Hope the new dungeon gets away from the divine beast aesthetic.

You are clearly not willing to engage in a discussion though. You claim something is boring just because it is, and you claim I am running away? user please

And no, I don't agree uninhabitable is what counts as wild. It can simply be hostile, which the world of BOTW is. Also where's that definition from?

>Why are (you) even here?
I'm still waiting for that argument dude.

I made claims and you people have just shitposted at me instead of presenting your opinions.
>Also where's that definition from?
Is this a joke? Anyway my point was that the game is barely a "great wilderness", it's just empty and lets you roam around.

Just Cause does that better.

You made horrible claims and refuse to see any rebuttal to them.
>is this a joke?
I wonder if it is a joke. Because in the actual definition it's "or inhospitable" not "and".

Good try though, you managed to get many (You)s

Stop replying to him already you nob

>You made horrible claims
Are you going to cry? There have been no rebuttals worth mentioning, just people crying about me shitposting.

It's in the dictionary you mong.

>it's in the dictionary
Oh wait, it isn't

>arguing semantics now because you have fuck all
grow up

>Am I crazy for not having fun with this on a second time through the game?
I've heard this complaint as well, and it seems pretty valid. A lot of the charm is lost on repeat playthroughs whereas other open world games will allow you to try different builds or let you focus on other combat types like magic. You can try and speedrun the game by going against Ganon as fast as possible but that boils down to stamina abuse and amiibos, and you have to go through the trouble of deleting your save or making a new profile when fucking Zelda 1 has multiple save slots

>moving goalposts because you have fuck all
You first

>semantics
>when your entire fucking argument has relied on it
user I

I don't care about builds or whatever, I just want something pleasant to go through. The older Zeldas do that just fine by having a proper story with arcs and characters plus things to find. Zelda has the Master Sword which was insultingly easy to obtain. And that's about it outside of the tutorial rewards.

...

>using amiibos on a straight to Ganon run
You disgust me

Anyway setting your own rules on another playthrough is pretty fun

>dictionary definition
>semantic

I actually loved the towns in this game, Gerudo is my favourite mainly because of this classroom

look I can do it too

I snorted, good job user

Is it even worth getting the fully upgraded master sword? I don't know if I am a casual or something but I am on the verge of giving up on them

I really enjoyed the Gorons that questioned you under their breath when you doubled back and changed your answer when you talked to them again.

I mean it is the best one handed weapon around and it never breaks so

More NPCs. I can't be the be the only one that really liked their dialogue and interactions right?

>can't tame wild wolves
What is this bullshit?

buy the amiibo goy :^)

Fuck upgrading the champion's tunic. I must have waited for Farosh 10 times already and a blood moon interrupts me every single time.

How do I farm rupees

Go to the northern area before the snowy labyrinth, slaughter all wildlife you see, cook meat skewers with 5 prime/gourmet meat each and sell that shit.

>hopes
More than one large dungeon
>expectations
1 divine beast

Game needs an actual difficulty option like having to heal in real time

I want another hyrule-castle style dungeon but I think we'll get another divine beast

BOTW was a disappointment.

The trailer was incredible, but it was incredibly misleading. I was expecting something grand given that theres such a huge map, new mechanics, and what appeared to be compelling companions.

Theres like 8 enemies in the entire game that are all reskinned.

The "dungeons" suck. Only 4 of them, they're like 10 minutes long. Hyrule castle was pretty dope though, so much to go through which made it feel like a real dungeon.

Companions? None. What about all those voiced(!) people in the trailer? Dead. Seriously, they give potentially core recurring characters voices but actually only 2 minutes of screen time in the entire game.

Music; literally the only good song is in the trailer.

I guess was hoping for something intricate in the game given that its zelda, but BOTW just felt so shallow given that it had the technology to do much much more. Shit i mean they could have done XCX level world building like having a party of companions with skills to take on the forces of Ganon. They don’t even need to introduce mechs (i can only get so hard). Fuck, imagine recruiting kakariko ninjas, or a party of koroks shooting darts, or summoning a mini dinraal to shoot fire at massive stone taluses. Or hell the loot, that big ass thunder great sword should be earned by fighting a thunder aspected iron knuckle the size of a hinox instead of climbing a mountain like all the other hundred mountains in the game. So many missed opportunities to give the game depth.

It felt like a tech demo developed in house and then they said fuck it add some shit and release it so we can sell another console.

Is it wrong that I was expecting a world building / going on grand adventures with friends kind of game based off the trailer? I really just want an open world dark souls.
