Why did you quit?
Why did you quit?
My month ran out
Cataclysm happened.
Argus was boring as shit after 30 minutes of playing, Mac'Aree was mildly interesting in setting, but again the awe subsided after 30 minutes.
Because is a old and dead game
They cornholed in a bullshit ass pull in the new cinematic involving the prime na'aru and illidan.
Artifical controversy. Illidan would never have refused to do something to save his world and the na'aru would never be foolish enough to try and force it on someone. Triggers me how both personalities do a complete 180 just to generate fake drama.
Yep.
A combo of the niggerforging bullshit and rng legendary,
>Why did you quit?
Game changed too much. The new animations are cheaply made once for all races when before each gender and race had it's own. The new sounds are ear gratingly bad. Pruning the soul out of classes by removing abilities. Armor designs are too clean shiny and safe looking, like toys for little children who can't handle anything over pg13. Story going from you being a smalltime mercenary working with other smalltime mercs to you being the savior of all saviors. I could go on.
The best people got tired of working on WoW and moved on or left the company. It was inevitable. Don't get me wrong, the current game plays very well but it's like an electric car. It just does it's job in silence.
Legendaries, artifacts
I am somewhat curious how they're going to handle artifacts for the next expansion
>welcome to level 111
>say goodbye to that weapon you soaked billions of artifact power into and like 20% of your damage
>Armor designs are too clean shiny and safe looking
sounds to me like you're one of those idiot orc warriors with dumb looking transmogs that has spikes and skulls everywhere
Quit back in November because of rng legendaries making my spec unplayable. Came back last month to see what they fixed. Ap is no longer an issue but rng is still ridiculous this xpac. Just so much of it for everything
>Legendaries are unfair and unbalanced
>CRZ blew up the population of the other faction on my pvp server, it's impossible to do anything in the world without getting ganked.
>PvP is dead
And a shitload of other things. I quit weeks after Nighthold, I refuse to let my memories of the game be destroyed by this fucking filth they call modern WoW.
Except the naaru was hinted like this the whole expansion before, and Illidan got a character development that was also hinted in the whole expansion?
Chances are you'll probably have to sacrifice your weapon at some point to kill some BBG making it then powerless, like how to Dragon Flights had to sacrifice most of their power so that Thrall could kamehameha Deathwing at the end of Cata.
It will be probably included in the final act of legion where the titans imprison Sarge but something goes wrong and we need to add our artefact to seal him.
Ruined fire mage after like 2 months of grinding
I stopped because Blizzard don't have enough people working on content so they have to time-gate everything as much as possible, so now you spend 90% of your gametime waiting for quests to unlock, or class hall missions to finish. It reminded me of playing a f2p mobile game. A lot of the people in my guild also burned out because the game isn't holding their interest and the new raids aren't that good on heroic.
I've was playing by using tokens but recently it's not even worth it anymore so I used the rest of my gold to buy tokens to use to buy Destiny 2. Even if Destiny isn't that great it'll at least be better than WoW, especially since a couple of long-time friends wanted to play and I always have a good time when playing multiplayer with them.
They kept nerfing warrior tanks while ignoring bear tanks.
Shit was infuriating.
The combat is pure trash. They need to redo all of it.
actually I just recently started playing when it was on sale. but I didn't play until now because I got in the beta and was disappointed Blizz literally cannot stop shitting on horde
>numbers have never mattered so the retreat only served to make them look like cowards
>vol'jin shanked by some trash mob to both maintain parity but not to tread of Varian going out like a badass
>force the horde PC to betray the trust they just spent the zone earning to give Genn a moment and make it look like Alliance attacking unprovoked was the right move
>every class hall is either neutral or alliance themed
>even fucking earthen ring feels more alliance
>fucking draenei is telling me about the legion coming to Draenor
>horde just sit out the rest of the expansion
There have been alliance players bitching about every single slight real or imagined since at least back when I first went to the forum back in BC so I guess this is what it buys them. A company constantly kissing their ass trying to placate them
Aren't the other Titans dead? I thought that was mentioned in one of the quests with Magni.
/thread
Because I got bored playing alone, honestly I personally feel the game can't truly be fun unless you have friends and people to play with. Joining guild doesn't do anything to me. It gets boring just questing alone, doing all the missions alone, and I just don't have the patience or autism to do all the shit in the game. At least with friends doing the same thing it'd be a bit more fun.
Sargeras kept and imprisoned their souls
I didn't.
You aren't keeping up. Sarge actually captured the titan souls and tortures them to form his own sockpuppet pantheon. Aggramar had already fallen, got a titan watcher body and will be a boss in the upcoming raid.
I'm guessing if they do go that route itll be a scenario at the start of new leveling. The problem with doing it in Legion is you still need a weapon
Wild balance swings, wasn't a fan of the Diablo 3 design, the intro event made it seem like the story would be Warcraft 3 Reign of Chaos mk 2 but with a full fledged legion invasion but ended up being a mishmash of TBC themes.
>Story going from you being a smalltime mercenary working with other smalltime mercs to you being the savior of all saviors.
user. Vanilla had us smacking the elemental lord of fire back into his hole and beating up old gods. Escalation was inevitable. They're supposed to treat the player like rando adventurers after everything we've done? Not that I don't prefer being a no name, but it's not sustainable or logical.
Doesn't make sense. Antorus =/= end of legion. We'll be running it for a while before 8.0 drops. We'll probably lose our artifacts at the start of the next expansion.
There was a huge Alliance shitstorm when the Siege of Orgrimmar raid was datamined and revealed death audio for the Alliance leaders.
It turned out those sounds were for those boss fights where Alliance leaders fight along you and you take too long or you wipe.
Internet started getting choppy and had a rough time finding a raiding guild that was chill and would let me progress without feeling like I'm doing a "job" ya know?
Stopped having fun, all my in game friends left, the magic faded.
Nostalgic me looked back at Vanilla with all its faults and problems (no doubt through rose tinted glasses) and just remembred enjoying the damn game as opposed to logging in actively disliking it and getting furious frequently.
I don't think any game will ever fill me with the awe, excitement, thrills and kinship (with my guild) that Vanilla wow gave me.
It's not fun anymore. Nobody is on anymore, and when they are, they don't want to talk.
Femgnomes are the only good thing left in WoW now.
Nah, in the beginning of Tides of Kultiras expansion you will still have the artifact weapon, and when people will ask blizz why, they will say
>"Uhh, we didn't have the resources to develop a new system so we decided to use the artifact weapons in the next expansion as well."
They could just make it so that story-wise the weapons are now "powerless" but just leave them as is for the actual game mechanics.
Why do you people keep using this excuse? I understand if your servers dead but the game is far from a silent fucking graveyard. My tradechat is always going, I make friends. I talk to people.
I know it's hard, likely because your vocabulary is completely and utterly warped by this stupid website and you can't connect to anyone but the problem is not WoWs community.
when i realized the game was in such a sorry state that even my addiction wouldn't keep me.
i should have quit years ago instead of mid expac
Qeueus destroyed the game . Its and open world game where you stand in a city 98% of the time online. Also there is no rare quality gear Now, purples is the new blue and orange means Nothing.
No one said we will deal with Sargeras right at the end of Antorus. Killing Agrramar and Argus and freeing the souls just sets up the situation for the end of the expansion.
That's the same problem I had. I thought that maybe switching to a new MMO would help re-kindle my enjoyment of the genre so I started playing FFXIV with a friend. But I quickly realized that it's basically the same game just with a different coat of paint, and while I enjoyed completing the story I didn't have much drive to continue progressing and eventually quit that as well.
>you stand in a city 98% of the time online
Not everyone is a lfr hero or still struggling to get to 110. Most people are running around Argus now.
Garbage wpvp potential. Daily quest nodes meant that any pop unbalanced server would feature massively unbalanced local population as well, making small scale wpvp infeasible unless you could get very creative.
That combined with phasing and server sharding ruined the last shred of fun i could have with the game.
I never saw any reason to get loot and power unless you could use it againt other players, but blizz apparently disagrees.
Hurricane irma put a pole in my fucking yard
time to fap again
for fuck's sake
This is the best that ever happened to wow. People who played it for pvp are complete retards in the first place, but the ones especially looking for world pvp should be euthanized.
It was too addicting. I literally bought a new account ($60) because I wanted a fresh start (autistic and didn't like how all over the place my achievements were and stuff like that, I wanted one character).
I fucked up so many responsibilities in the five days I played. If I was poor I would be really pissed I wasted $60, but I'm not, and I played for over 20 hours, so it was not a complete waste.
post rest of tmog
"The game is not fun for me anymore."
These were my last words before I have left the guild.
All the content people did bored me to death. For all the content I have wanted to do, I couldn't find anyone to do it with. Should have probably taken a break for the next expansion, but I have decided to quit: 90% of people were braindead casuals, who I had nothing in common with.
Probably it was just a depression, but I haven't had urges to play ever since.
She has googly eyes on a thumbnail, can't unsee.
first it was flying mounts and resilience
then it was big tit body mods not working for the 100th time
nothing fufilling to do
more interested in pursuing irl passions
didn't feel like my friends were actually friends anymore
946 ilvl tho big dick
classes feel like complete shit to play, rng legends, maw of souls x500
they made disc some weird hybrid thing but it does neither very well
You are fucking retarded. You said yourself the servers are dead. How is the blame on me? People don't play WoW.
There was a beautiful short time in Wrath where all mods worked without any modifications or special clients. That alone kept that dungheap playable for me at least until Cataclysm.
People can mod WoW? I had no idea Blizzard allowed that.
It's not but people still do it
cataclysm
tho, the beginning was cool, despite that i didnt enjoy most of the new race/class combos, i liked how they decided to go full Alliance vs Horde mode, as it should've been, but decided to fuck it up mid expansion
Nobody "allows it" you dork, people just do it. That's why it requires a modification to work.
The last two expansions made me look back on pandaria more fondly. Really sick of fel and the legion at this point.
Legendaries, AP, WQs.
Legion.
not anymore, recent patch stopped it.
You are overly sensitive. Take some fucking Viagra.
I didn't.
>lemon key face
...
The AP grind was mind numbing, Legiondaries and shit class/spec balance was insulting, and titan forging invalidated any gear drop that didn't have it. I actually like the ARPG approach to gear longevity, but not when it takes 10+ people several hours every week to even try and get any upgrades.
too old, too shallow, too worthless.
Please don't describe yourself to Sup Forums
>game is designed to make AP grind not worthy
>literal drooling faggot retards still grind
>the they quit because the grind was bad
Good.
>*tips [Cursed vision of Sargeras]*
Right right, but are there any decent mods for tauren that aren't "dude monster tits!"-tier?
>boosted a hunter with my legion-pre order >started doing dungeons after hitting 110 >barrage was acting wonky as fuck and would hit everything within sight while also being the hardest hitting ability
>some guy always starts sperging out because he wants to speedrun it since best way to gear up is spamming dungeons
>no fun allowed
MMO gaymers are the most intolerable retarded stupid idiots on earth
Cross realm queues and a shift from skill to item level and achievements.
WoD and Legion are both filler expansions.
Notice the clear absence of Thrall, Jaina, and just about every other relevant hero.
I have no idea why anyone vested in the lore would play again until they release a plot relevant expansion again.
>thrall
>jaina
>literally ever relevant
Thrall was there though, didn't you see him crawling on all fours on broken shore?
>kiljaeden
>dead dead
>sargeras
>bound
>filler expansion
>Jaina
>not appearing as a dreadlord next expansion because people keep saying it so Blizzard just shrugs and goes "yeah okay"
I'm still playing.
Levelling a priest on Elysium.
Thrall was there though. He drops Doomhammer into a toilet and Enhancement shamans have to unclog it while he talks about his depression. He then sees it covered in shit, says you can have it, and goes to cry on some other vacant rock.
Have you studied today, user?
I'm still playing because apparently I'm a healing savant and keep getting nabbed by top guilds like I'm some sort of prized whore. I don't even like the healslut meme, I just really like validating myself by being "good" at something, and being wanted.
>legion
>meaning jack shit in the wake of the NEW ancient evil
I feel so bad for Blizztards right now
>still claiming a title when your government hasn't existed in 15 years
I was playing it like a single player game, and eventually I couldn't do anything anymore
My server is bumpin
Yes, and?
Get out of this thread Delta, you were bad at this game and that's why you quit.
because fucking tokens skyrocketed in price when bliz let you turn them into blizzard credit to spend on fucking crates in overwatch
55k was barely acceptable, more than that would be too much grinding then BAM the price jumped to almost 100k overnight
The best part is how they try to rationalize the horde essentially being relegated to the corner once again by saying "well the last 3 expansions were about the horde! It was all about orcs and garrosh!!". If you mean the horde leaders getting betrayed and killed by their own warchief, countless civilians murdered, their capital getting sieged, and an army of inter-dimensional orcs determined to murder everyone HORDE focused.. sure.
>They're supposed to treat the player like rando adventurers after everything we've done? Not that I don't prefer being a no name, but it's not sustainable or logical.
DUH COMMANDAH was fucking dumb, I hated that about Wod.
But the being the Deathlord makes sense, even though it is the same it seems to make more sense since your fame and power is warranted.
I played three weeks into Legion when it was released and then decided that it was garbage.
I don't like chores, I don't like the class hall, I don't like the artifact weapon, and I don't like the random legendary nonsense. Also, I think the only revamped specialization in the entire game that was fun to play was fury warrior. I just pretty much fucking hated everything about Legion and it's design philosophy. The game always had a few chore-like things to it, but Legion took it to fucking 11.
I play video games because they're fun, not so I can do a bunch of menial tasks all day just to stay up to date. Shit game, shit developer.
Xiv came out
I came back for Legion after not having played since the end of Wrath.
I'm a completionist and achievement whore, so I came to the realization that with 3.5 expansions that I had never seen or touched, I would never be able to do enough in the game to feel satisfied. The game is just too overwhelming and convoluted now, and even I say that as a WoW veteran. I can't imagine what new players must think...
Private server fags should be gassed, the game is far better now than it ever has been in the past.
This is fact.
