I never said Obsidian was as good as it was in the past. I won't comment on that because it's impossible to say at the moment. Although I will say that Pillars of Eternity is much better than Divinity: Original Sin 2 despite Avellone's writing and also much better than Numenera despite Ziet's writing. Maybe they aren't as fulcral to Obsidian's success as you think they are.
