I think it's the most solid one overall but other games do specific aspects better than it.

Godot is just another "guy who did bad things but wasn't really bad" character which are always popular and Sup Forums seems to love.

Armstrong was REALLY bad though, people just like him because he was charismatic and funny. Do you mean Sam?

Cop-out answer but it honestly depends on what you like about the series. I do think some of the other games, older and newer, had stronger cases. 3-5 gets praised a lot but honestly it's the banter in it that's top tier, moreso than the case itself. The investigation segment involving stuff like temporarily playing as miles, Larry lamenting about being a loser, Larry somehow roping Pearl into doing the same thing, everything bullying the shit out of Franziska, Phoenix getting turned on by Franziska, and so on was way more entertaining than the actual case.

The trilogy was centered around Kurain so it was a pretty good case to bring it to a close.

Yeah, AA is mostly a feel good series

I can't hate PLvsPW as much as people here do because it has the best comedy in the series, the story turns into a nonsensical clusterfuck and the game is too handhold-y but it's too fun a ride nonetheless

Plus, Maya and Phoenix's banter is second to none.

Havent played the japanese only ones and pw vs layton so I cant say how good they are.

PWvsPL is alright but it feels more like a Layton game than traditional AA.

Yeah I started it up and I'm instantly feeling more hopeful about my life. It is kind of strange how something like this makes me feel. The lightheartedness and music and characters, it's hitting me in the sweet spot. Maya is the cutest

AAI2 was really, really good, but T&T will always remain as my favourite one because it managed to close up the trilogy so perfectly. At this point I was invested in every single character present there and seeing them all interacting during the big finale was absolutely marvelous. I don't think that any future game will ever be able to replicate that.

i cant bring myself to finish SoJ i just hate the style so much ive been playing too much of the trilogy, only need to finish rise from the ashes now

Really the only essential AA games. If you're new, remember that the "5th case" of the first game is actually a post-hoc wrap-up to the trilogy that you should play last.

Of the games outside the trilogy, generally Ace Attorney Investigations 2 (fan translated) and Spirit of Justice are well-regarded. Personally I think Apollo Justice was also decent.

But if you get through the trilogy and still want more you should probably just play the entire series in release order.

You shouldn't rely too much on short term boosts but nice to hear you're feeling better

1 thing I didnt like about DD was that you couldnt check stuff on every screen.
It was fuck to just look at random shit and see what they had to say about stuff.

AA is much comfier on a 3ds.
dual screens is just perfect for the game.
Played DD on the phone but fuck it was annoying to point at shit using my finger.

You could always use motion controls with the joy con and touch screen controls in handheld mode.

It being on the Switch could help bring the franchise more exposure.
