Vote.
Ike has some real long legs.
>Roy that high
I feel disgusted. I will never not be salty that he got into smash over Leif, a actually good lord.
>Have to pick just one
Seliph, I guess.
Pleb poll, I'm the first an currenty only guy to vote Seliph (master race) :(
>Picking beta Seliph when you could pick the true alpha "Jesus on Wheels" Sigurd
>no votes for Marth, Celica, Eirika, or Robin
All is right with the world.
Sigurd is so good then how come he was killed?
Elibros where we at?

EXPLAIN THIS BULLSHIT
*uses Hunter Volley*
heh, you even trying kid?
But that's preferable. That way it's easy to get Alm to whack her with a Subdue so she can no longer attack, and then box her in so she can't run off to the fortify circlejerk.
Echoes has some high level bullshit at points, but Delthea is not one of them. I don't understand when people say tying her down is hard.
Mila's blessing is one hell of a drug.
All Sigurd accomplished was paving the way for Alvis to take over Jugdral. Seliph has to clean up his mess.
Mechanically, it's because the size of the roster; Alm + Celica's Army vs. Marth's has a huge difference in disposable units the latter has while the former lacks.
As for lore, Naga's a dick, Mila and Duma are generous enough with how invested they were in building Valentia?
>he was in 1st
>now he's all the way down in 3rd, tied with the likes of Sigurd
THIS ISN'T REALLY HAPPENING
>Even when he dies he fucks his waifu in the afterlife
That's a true Chad right there.
There is now :^)
Incest boy is cute ! CUTE !
>Play SoV
>expect garbage VAs after Fates and that retarded strike is STILL going on
>mfw it's hands down the best dub for any FE
Fates has no excuse at all.
Valentians had it pretty good in terms of warfare
>Can rewind time multiple times every fight
>3 class tiers in a game that would have been fine with just 2
>Revival springs
>no durability
>stat up springs everywhere
>Dread fighters
>Killer bow
>Brave Sword
>get to use 3 of archanea's best pegasus knights AND Camus
I'm convinced most people who like Roy never played FE6. He's your stereotypical FE lord with nothing noteworthy about his character and a mediocre unit. Spends half the game stuck at level 20 waiting for his promotion and has 5 move in a game consisting entirely of relatively large seize maps which makes him a liability you have to ferry around. Being a sword locked user he also has no consistent 1-2 range option which are king in the GBA games (seriously you only get 1 lightbrand until chapter 23 near the end when Roy already has the binding blade). His only saving grace is solid growths and great promotion bonuses as late as it is.
Eirika has brain problems
I really want a Echoes for FE4 just so it can get its soundtrack remixed, it has my favorite soundtrack of any FE game.

I just hope to god they don't fuck up the story in localization.
FE6 was my first FE and I voted for Roy. He's a generally decent guy worried about whether he can live up to his father's legacy, he's deceptively sharp as far as lords go, he has a plain likable personality, and he's fun in Smash, too.
The strike is for the better if anything, I'll take a bunch of ameuters with some unexpected new talent over the same people who have been phoning in the voices forever
I always see Roy as a weird case, because I guess I can see people not liking that he's a less powerful unit, used as a VIP objective, but at the same time this also kinda means people don't like him because he's a Game Over objective that can actually possibly happen if you don't fall asleep, unlike Lords that come after him.
Personality wise, I guess he's not offensive at least. I mean if people can like Eliwood or Alm, I don't exactly see why they can't like Roy.
>Personality wise, I guess he's not offensive at least
I don't have any particular problem with his personality I just feel there's nothing special about it to make him so popular compared to say Hector who is well liked for standing out from other lords by his personality and being an axe user.
>Personality wise, I guess he's not offensive at least
But that's why he's such a shit lord, he doesn't really have any personality. Most of the lords before and after him have more personality than him and are overall more interesting in their character and designs. Roy is just a younger, red-haired Marth.
How does one get into FE
Kinda wanna buy Echoes, is it a good place to start?
Roy's not even that bad compared to a number of FE lords. He's useful at the start of the game, and he's useful at the end. It's only in the middle where he's not good. Imo he's better off than the FE7 trio in that regard, since all of them are just useless at the end.
Are you inadvertently shitting on Marth?
I like how gachashit FE threads are full of nu-v, but real FE thread where people talk of real FE games there's civil discussion and slow posting
I guess if nothing else, he has an appealing visual design that stands out pretty well. The only one similar is Eliwood, and he actually does manage to look a little too plain in comparison.
FE 4-5 with fan translation is best for starting and you'll be disappointed by all other FE entries
or be like most other fags and start with shit awakening or fates
Not really. I'd recommend emulating the seventh game on GBA, just called "Fire Emblem" or "Blazing Sword", or playing Awakening or Birthright.
Really, just about anywhere is a good place to start. I'm just wary of recommending Gaiden/Echoes because of how different they are compared to most games in the series.
I can't believe Sigurd invaded two countries to save women he didn't fuck.
All the nu-v posters come out for "Is Echoes good?" and Warriors threads, not sure what you mean
>real FE thread
>civil
banter is civil discussion you feely-feely amerifag
Who doesn't?
ever since that brainwashed delthea cipher card
this artist draws quite a bit of both

Not so fast little girl.

Here take this.
>I'll take a bunch of ameuters with some unexpected new talent over the same people who have been phoning in the voices forever
THANK YOU! Thanks to the strike we got best boi, best god, and best warrior.
I have absolutely no clue who you're referring to, but one of them better be Fernand.
People only like Roy because of awkward zombie and Sakurai.
The strike doesn't affect anime for fuck sake (except like Kingdom Hearts, but that's Disney)
>Imo he's better off than the FE7 trio in that regard, since all of them are just useless at the end.
I'll give you Lyn and Eliwood who are both pretty shit units but Hector? He's basically an armorknight without the weakness of 4 move and nonexistent speed. If your talking about the end game in particular he's useful against the physical bosses because of his insane defense made even better by the +5 from armads. Not like the FE7 endgame is hard when they give you fucking Athos and great pre-promotes like Pent or Harken who even at base can contribute in the final chapter.
>Fire Emblem
>Not a Video Game, but an Anime
Pardon?
...
Echoes, while a good game, is a remake of FE2 which is known as the black sheep of the series for good reason.
You'll probably want to start with FE7 for GBA, just called Fire Emblem here because it's the first game we got. Then after that you can basically pick which game you want to play next. I'll list the rest of the FEs so you can choose:
FE1 has two remakes which are both better than the original. Really no reason to play this one.
FE2 just got Echoes, which is just a straight upgrade from it in every way. Irrelevant like FE1.
FE3 is split into two "books", book 1 is a remake of FE1 which is pretty good, and book 2 is a direct sequel to it. Has a okay translation patch.
FE4 is a bit different from other FE games, but in my opinion a very good game that has the best story out of any FE. Has a amazing translation patch that it just recently got.
FE5 is great and probably the overall best in the series, but its translation patches are terrible. One only translates menus, and the other only translates dialogue. They can't be used together. Fortunately the team who made the FE4 patch are working on one for this game.
FE6 is a very polarizing one. It removes a lot of the content from earlier games and most people tend to love it or hate it for reasons which would make this post too long if I went into detail.
FE8 is another good FE game to start with, pretty similar to FE7.
FE9 and 10 are both Ike's games and are both great, with FE10 have some flaws with the story and other main character.
FE11 is a remake of FE1. It's more faithful than FE3's remake of it, but its animations and art are horrible. But it does have more QoL improvements than FE3's book 1.
FE12 is a remake of FE3 book 2. It added a horrible self-insert unit that steals the story from Marth, and we never end up getting this game.
1/2
I meant like Jap shit in general
I really can't explain why I like Roy.
He's nowhere near my favorite, but I don't know why I haven't designated him trash tier considering how terrible he is as a unit and how mediocre he is as a character
I've played every game in the series except FE1,2, and 11, yet I still find myself liking Roy even after 2 playthroughs of FE6.
I spent like 15 minutes writing this and I still can't identify what I like about him outside of Character Design and Binding Blade
Most FE threads are fucking terrible though, just copypasted bait, arguing and screeching about the 3DS games.
Hector's definitely the best of the three. I shouldn't have lumped him in with the other two. Please forgive me.
I've found that whether you prefer FE6 or FE7 depends entirely on which you play first. Interesting, that.
What zombie?
video game comic that gave Marth and Roy personalities from Melee way back when that turned out to be better than their real ones.
The rest is Awakening, Fates, and Echoes.
Awakening is a okay game, if not a little bland in everything. You'll probably be disappointed by it if you payed a bunch of other FE games before it.
Fates is trash except for Conquest's gameplay, which is arguably the best in the series. Just try to ignore it's retarded story.
Echoes is a great remake of FE2, with its only flaw being that it's TOO accurate of a remake, they left in the pretty bland map design.
There's also a fucking amazing romhack being made called "The Crimson Arm" which has a playable demo if you want to try that out.
I should really make a "How to get into Fire Emblem" chart.
FE7 or 8. FE8 because is generally regarded as the easiest in the series, your early game pre-promote Seth is straight up broken and can actually solo the game if used correctly you can also grind unlike most many FE games. FE7 is typically recommended though it was the first US game and made with new western players in mind. For the GBA games wouldn't recommend 6 as your first, also considering 7 is a prequel.
I kinda made one, but it feels dated and in need of revising, but procrastination always prevails.
God I hate this fucking meme that conquest has good gameplay, gimmicks and backpacks.
I wish Nintendo never bated the retards with conquest is for the classic player.
Ok user, whatever you say. It's not -real- difficulty after all, it's just artificial gimmicks providing the illusion of a hard game.
Shaow Dragon's Gaiden chapters is the stupidest gameplay-related desicion IS made. Even though they are supposed to replacements characters, you have to lose way too many people for that to make since.
Not him, but it's not like Conquest's difficulty is -fun- for the most part either. Chapter 10's fun, but that's as good as it gets.
I want to beat up Priscilla
Conquest is too difficult for most of the shitters trying to act like classic fans. So they have to dismiss it so that they can pretend that they aren't just marginally more skilled than an absolute newcomer to the series.
That's Lena
The gachathreads are actually full of civil discussion and slow posting though.
>"""nu""" prefix
Post disregarded.
Nintendo sure did a great job promoting this.
yeah. forcing you to lose characers like that was a pain.
i believe FE12 just pretends that doesn't happen and that Marth recruited everyone except Nagi
Yeah I have no idea what they were thinking. IS generally adds some kind of safety net so bad players can still finish but I found it really unnecessary the game already has one of the highest unit counts in the franchise. Thankfully there is a fan patch that removes the retarded Gaiden requirements.
I still want to beat her up
Dyute is cute
But why
Still mad we didn't get 12
I want to get myrrhied to a dragon loli!
I heard someone say that Celica is in FE Warriors. If true, what are the chances of other Shadows of Valentia characters getting in? I don't know how well that game actually did compared to Awakening and Fates.
because I hate priscilla
Celica being in Warriors came from a confirmed leak and it also indicates she's the only one from that game getting in. She's kind of a random addition like Lyn.
Unlikely, maybe Alm as DLC or a cameo of the Mila Tree.
Less than half the sales as far as that went, but they considered it a success apparently. Made less copies too IIRC.
>She's kind of a random addition like Lyn.
Not really Lyn is really popular with western players.
Which was a genuine surprise to IS.
>4 other people voted Leif.
Good taste.
Random as in, they don't have any relevance to anybody else in the cast, so they stick out compared to everybody else.
I really like Mila's design.
Random as in she's the only one from FE7, like how Celica is the only one from 2/15.
Actually, Lyn was the most popular girl in every country that voted, including Japan. Lucina got closest to beating her in Japan, but Lyn still won.
>tfw only seen for 2 seconds in a cutscene with crazy eyes
Ah gotcha was just glad anyone from the GBA games got in. Was expecting no one besides Awakening/Fates lords + Marth.
Here, you might like this from the 25th anniversary orchestra concert.

Overall the stuff from the 2D games was great.
>Add in Lissa and Frederick with the excuse of "Chrom needs people to talk to"
>Throw in Lyn and Celica with all evidence pointing to them being the only characters from their games outside DLC
How is it that everything they reveal about this game makes it seem worse?
It has to have been backlash. I guess we'll find out in their next dumb interview
>Celica confirmed for warriors
>no Ike
Surely they can make room for number 1 boy, right?
they only accept grandpa waifus
Make sure to buy the Radiant Dawn DLC pack for $9.99, goy.
I'd be fine if they just did an FE Warriors 2 focusing on 6-10 and Echoes.
I normally tune obvious PR statements out, but the one for FE Warriors has been nothing short of absolutely retarded that seems to work against them in every possible scenario. I.E.
>We can't have everyone's favorite lords in because there would be far too many swords. (Which is perfectly valid, game'd be fucking boring)
>So here's Chrom, Lucina, and two OCs who both use swords
It's like do they even think about what's coming out of their mouths?
also when her spirit appears before alm and celica
