post a greater moment in videogames
here's a spoiler for you
YOU
LITERALLY
FUCKING
CAN'T
Post a greater moment in videogames
What game?
Gta 5
Uncharted.
...
>theme songs and lifebars change throughout the fight
>Two old geezers trying to fight
>Greatest Vidya moment.
lol
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Your first hour of Super Mario 64.
the rex on ray fight, the ocelot/snake fight and the final scene with boss and snake.
this game might of had its flaws but the ending is rock fucking solid
Ghost Trick
>they were both probably shitting themselves like crazy while they were fighting
Thanks wrong though sweetie
How I Met Your Mother: the movie: the game: the book: the sequel: the novel: the movie: the game
One of the biggest retcons in gaming
Like muh dick during this fight
makes more sense than being possessed by a ghost hand
Gehrman
no it doesn't
mgs is a fantasy game with lots of supernatural themes
look at psycho mantis, vulcan raven or the sorrow
Battletoads
nanomachines and parasites, son
That sequence is only fucking awesome if you have been following the series upto that point.
more retcons just like midiclhorians
Fallout 3
That's not a retcon because it was never explained
>HURR MUH HEAD CANON
ohhh so liquid being posesed by an arm twice and then making ocelot the son of a being that can comunicate with the dead to change it and make it as ocelot was under hipnosis is not a retcon now???
The whole point of the game is to wrap up the franchise. So offcourse you should be following through. Obviously
Fallout NV: Lonesome road
...
>anything you didn't know before is a retcon now
You don't know what the word means
I've never played mgs but I watched that fight youtube
I've had the games myself for nearly two years now but I just can't be arsed to play them, even though I actively wanted them
I did play the first mgs eventually, but I already knew most of what happened for half of it because of watching metal gear awesome years prior
I really liked it and was excited to play the rest but then never did
I also watched pretty much every boss fight for mgr even though I have that game too
why am I like this
MGSV
got fucking goosebumps looking at this and remembering
Ending E was too perfect
MGS IV was my first metal gear game and it was still amazing. That said I did do some research on the wiki and YouTube as the remasters weren't out yet.
I can't___________
:)
so are seriously sugesting kojima didn't wanted to make ocelot posesed and then didn't retconed to appease the dumbtards that didn't like it?
you are just fucking stupid m8
because you're lazy and dont want to put in the effort required to do it yourself
just play mgs2 ffs youll be hooked in no time
but I was already hooked with the first one, yet still didn't continue
it's been long enough now that I feel like I'd have to replay it to satisfy my autism for being ready for the rest
no just play mgs2, they're all pretty self contained and many consider it to be the best one
but that doesn't solve the issue of me being so retarded I just read spoilers of things I want to watch/play before I play them because I'm too unmotivated to even play video games or watch anything but short youtube clips
I hate being like this and don't know how to stop doing it
It was pretty great. Uncharted 4 had a similar battle, but the stakes weren't as high, but the showdown with Ocelot was something that was set up with YEARS of games working towards it. I love that fight. Quite manly.
Best final boss in the series.
>I hate being like this and don't know how to stop doing it
just fucking play videogames dude
What exaclty did this retcon? The being possessed thing? Ocelot has played the SUPER long con the entire series. It all made sense. Ocelot was also the series' protagonist.
Uncharted 4's final battle was so surprising and so fucking good.
>enter the room
>two dead pirates
>get trapped by shit-faced Nadine
>no one has any guns and Rafe is a literal psychopath
>"lol imagine we grab those pirate swor-"
>Rafe picks the sword
>mfw
It's not even the greatest moment in the series, god damn it. I think the fight with Boss in MGS3 and the fight against Solidus in MGS2 ( and the preamble monologues from AI Colonel inside Arsenal Gear ) are much more interesting,
agreed
The Wonderful 101 final boss Please someone put up the webm. I don't have it.
but I don't have the attention span or energy to dedicate myself to them
I know it really is as simple as just playing them but I can't find the will to bother
>multiple phases
>his speech
>god tier music
>memes
best mgs
Lost Planet 2's ending.
>marathoned mgs 1-3 a month before mgs 4 came out
The ocelot boss fight was still cool but i feel like would have greater impact if i had played the games throughout my life.
I loved the call back to when Nate and Sam were kids playing with the swords. I really love that Rafe finally just loses his shit, and tells Nate to shut up, and you have a sword fight to the death.
>two old geezers are infinitely more fit that you
lol
>NO, SNAKE, I DIDN'T TRY TO KILL YOU WITH A MICROWAVE HALL
MGS4's story is such a fucking bullshit.
this
>people STILL don“t get the Liquid Ocelot thing
Ocelot got possesed in MGS2, sometimes after he hacked the hand off again, got a replacement (which you can clearly SEE in this very boss fight) and decided to go with the hypnosis stuff.
>so are seriously sugesting kojima didn't wanted to make ocelot posesed and then didn't retconed to appease the dumbtards that didn't like it?
That question was never supposed to be answered in the first place, as MGS2 is one of the most open-ended games ever made. It was never directly stated that Ocelot was possessed by Liquid with proof to back it up, as back in MGS2, we didn't know Ocelot was the son of a spirit medium.
The most likely explanation is that Liquid did possess Ocelot for some time, but at some point after MGS2, Ocelot replaced his arm again and did self-hypnosis to pretend to be Liquid.
There was no retcon in this area. In fact, I'd say MGS4 is the lightest on retcons, as any info it changes(like Big Boss being dead) is followed up by a sufficient explanation (nanomachines putting him into a coma and his body being preserved by the Patriots, while EVA and Ocelot reconstructed his body for when the AI was shut down).
MGS1 retcons the relationship between Big Boss and Solid Snake by having Campbell say that Big Boss told Snake he was his father in Zanzibar Lands, which is where MG2 takes place, and the only time they could've interacted there was in MG2.
MGS3 retcons Big Boss' bio from MG2, completely changing the reason why he got the eyepatch.
And before you say 'But the radio crew being the Patriots is a retcon' or some other dumb shit like that, it isn't. It's a reveal, there was never any info saying otherwise. 'But what about the names of the Patriot's Wiseman's Committee?' Even without MGS4, this is easy to figure out. They put the names of the Philosopher's Wiseman's Committee in, and it's easy to figure out the radio crew is at least connected to the Patriots through MGS3, as they have heavy involvement with the Philosophers, Ocelot and their password for ADAM being 'La-li-lu-le-lo'.
Every MGS game is about the villains wanting the hero to make it to the end despite constantly trying to kill them, with the exception of 2 and V.
you are a fucking lost cause
bet you will tell me venom snake being a medic is not a retcon cause no one said he wasn't
>Big Boss' bio from MG2
when did anyone tells shit about him?
There's evidence to prove that is a retcon, that being Big Boss' transmission at the end of MG1, which could've only come Venom as it's about wanting revenge, and the only way to make that no longer a retcon is to accept MG2: Snake's Revenge as canon and that opens up a whole other can of plot details you have to work past
mgs the trading card game
Not him but retcon or not most of those things are still fucking stupid
Of course it fucking is. The entirety of the MG saga is retarded now thanks to there being more than 4 games(MG1, 2, MGS1, 2), and Kojima wanting to make Big Boss 'deep', by making the one-dimensional villain of MG1 a body double without realizing that he left a post credits scene back then
This moment was retarded and gay just like the MGS franchise.
Artifact

You can always go with the theory that he was legit possessed and then removed the arm for a metal one so he could continue to fool the patriots into thinking that he still was possessed while keeping his plans rolling
>just play mgs2 ffs youll be hooked in no time
you are asking him to play the worst MGS
inFamous 2 is easily in my Top 3 games, it does the Karma system so well and has an actual plot, and characters, and the main character actually has a personality. The side missions are also great, they aren't just 'Do the thing because Asscreed did it', it 'Do the thing because this ice guy wants to help you' or 'Guard this guy for a minute or kill him to quickly end the side mission'.
Powers are also best in the series, and it has the best DLC
>as MGS2 is one of the most open-ended games ever made.
so may unresolved questions that MGS4 was turned into a fucking mess to answer them
Metal Gear Solid: A Telltale Games series
>so may unresolved questions that MGS4 was turned into a fucking mess to answer them
It mostly ignored them or brushed them aside. The only things it establishes as fact are that Vamp uses nanomachines, everything was real and Arsenal's crash did cause a huge panic. Other than that, can't really think of much else. Fortune's powers are left up to one's own interpretation, and the RAY battle is never explained despite being one of the crucial points for the VR theory
True
I replayed it at least 16 times
You mean metal fucking solid.
>Other than that, can't really think of much else.
explains who the Patriots are, what they want, why they are doing what they are doing, and you stop them.
aka the biggest unresolved thing about MGS2
that's not mgs1
...
zero started the patriots to honor the boss, invited some people, then he and snake quarreled because they had different views on what the boss wanted. later zero started cloning big boss and advertising the guy as a hero, then he founded those ais, later everything is in the other games.
basically, patriots are zero's creation, failed attempt of unifying the world. it was all explained
>basically, patriots are zero's creation, failed attempt of unifying the world. it was all explained
in 4.
But, it was implied that the radio crew was connected to the Patriots back in 3
One of the highest points in the series let down by being in one of the worst games.
Wow that sure was easy.
>But, it was implied that the radio crew was connected to the Patriots back in 3
If you mean the password for Adam being "La-le-lu-li-lo" I dismissed it as a cheeky reference to MGS2. Like the whole Raiden mask crap
This and the title drop for route C. Turned my cock to rock.
What about them being strongly connected to Ocelot, a member of the Patriots, and the Philosopher's Wiseman's Committee being the precursor to the Patriots?
Also, ADAM was Ocelot, so that password can be taken as less than a cheeky reference
I really didn't care much about 2 so I didn't look into it
...
>renaming the party
this
Puella magi heroes of might and madoka magic
>MGS V
Lmao who's the lost cause now.
*Spanish guitar intensifies*
tfw the historical route for lu bu gave me feels
All you had to do was listen to Chen Gong and none of this would have happened
