ok. here is what you do, start over from the beginning. dont care about start over.

the first thing you wanna do is take over hara and Ashikaga. dont recruite hara, he sucks and dont bother recruting Ashikaga either. get Yamamoto Isoroku, shes the only decent archer in the game and worth having early on. next, dont attack ign! that place brings you nothing and you only make the demons apper faster. level of rance stasisfaction points and recruite units from the continent (start with lazeraus) con

It's ok user, the game doesn't really explains anything to you. Just focus on asking reinforcements with the satisfaction bonus

than attack the Miko Institute. have rance visit it a few times and you will beable to attack it for notori. one of the best units in the entire game. it will be hard to get that land but try it. find and recruit a diverderd and have it use shields to make it easier.

when you got that done, you can either choose to attack the Asai or leave them alone. its up to you. the old man is a decent unit but not importen on your first run.

than attack the usagi to get kenshin and ai. here is a fun trick. every time kenshin is on the battlefield, send rance only and something good happens (i wont tell you why)

later on when she only has one land left, leave her be and her uncale will kidnap her and ask rance to join him. tell him to fuck off and save kenshin. after that, you should have a decent army. go level up maybe in a dungen or to for the boss and give rance all the stats books. (you can give him elite soilder to boost all his stats to one point but do that AFTER his starts in strength, endurance and agility are 6.

than you got to deal with tensei. wipe them all out the map once you have kenshin. you COULD let them live but this is your first playthough and killing them is canon so do it.

This game is basically a match to see who can pull off the most asspulls. The player or the game.
I was looking forward to play Kill The Monkey but after the NTR fest that was the Ran route I got bored with the game. Once you figure out the optimal playstyle and reload for every bad RNG roll it becomes more of a chore.
And the h-scenes aren't even good.
Dialogue is great entertainment, though.
