I hate the fact that they STILL struggle to put in tools to create a community within the game.

How the hell does that happen? Why is it that nobody talks in the game?

I've had way more talking in one overwatch ranked match than the entirety of destiny 2.

They need to fix that, it's a big problem when you market the game around doing these community type public events or raids and the only way to get a group going or meet people is in a 3rd party site.

It's like an MMO without the essentials an MMO has like clan chat or textbox

the gunplay is very good , but chopping bits off the base game to sell as dlc is a worrying glimpse into the future of gaming

What's inexcusable is how certain activities STILL don't have matchmaking, and though they've talked about adding an in-game LFG they still haven't. The matchmaking in the game right now feels like there's maybe only 150 people playing at any given time. PVP still matches up full fireteams against a team made up of randoms.

Here's the thing. I don't mind paying $30 for a 7/10 game that has all content. There is no way I'm paying 60$ for 5% of a game, only to have to buy 40$ dlc expansions every month. You are retarded to pay that for a 7/10

That there are microtransactions, which are used to heavily monetize a feature that wasn't monetized in the first game, and that it's hard to meet people and get groups, which is true, you basically have to go to reddit for a good LFG tool for Nightfalls or Raids.

That said I like Destiny 2 and I think nu-Sup Forums just hates video games and will shit on anything, no matter what

I thought they implemented a matchmaking system for all the PVE content since thats something people were complaining about since D1? and yeah I wish shaders weren't 1 time use and there weren't microtransactions but that's the one big gripe I have with it.

They added "guided games" for end game content which is a shitty fucking system. You need a ticket to que for them and I have no idea how you even get a ticket. Their in game solution is more hassle than a fucking third party website. They're trying to create some sort of community but on their terms and they're seem to be actively working against one forming organically by providing the right tools.

I liked the Cabal the most because at first they looked like the ones most least likely to be assholes, but that was mostly in part of D1 telling us jack and shit about them.

I dont mind the whole empire aesthetic they have but changing their look to what they are now is stupid. I don't think "world destroying soldiers" when I see their current look.

I don't know, I've been having fun. What's so cash grab about it again? I've invested 100+ hours already for the 60€ I've paid, well worth it as is. When new content comes out I'm guaranteed to get more than an hour per €, whilst having fun playing with and helping friends. After the expected 3 years lifespan I'll spend a total of ~160€ on Destiny2 with its DLC/Xpacs, which is much less than a MMO like WoW/FF14 that have a subscription on top of paid Xpacs. I REALLY don't get your point. Even Bright Engrams (the ""P2W"" microtransactions) drop multiple times everyday through normal playan', those shits cost $2 per engram, they are only there for whales and clickbait youtubers, Can you go into specifics or did you just watch a TheKnow video and follow FOTM trends without even playing the game you're bitching about?

I put a few hours into the first one. It's the most fun when you get a solid group together to do nightfalls/raids.. otherwise it's a bit dull to play by yourself. I'm getting D2 on pc, hopefully being able to chat to people in the social zones will make it easier to find groups.

You can't matchmake to find randoms for a Raid or Nightfall? I don't have friends in Florida they're all shady people.

An actual list of Destiny 2's major problems:
>easy campaign/stupid enemies
>genuinely terrible writing/humor
>lack of any sense that your character is special or interesting
>weak customization
>locked out of the best content unless you have five friends online at the same time

It's not a bad game by any means, it's just sort of disappointing considering Halo was an excellent series.

Also how does the sunken-cost fallacy apply to anything I said? I'm not going to pay more just because I invested a measly 60€, I'm going to pay more because I want to and enjoy it. I dropped Destiny after the first month all the way up to its last Xpac, I'd have no qualms doing it again. It's just that Destiny2, unlike the first at launch, is a great game so I don't see myself stopping anytime soon.

Not going to happen bud. For the same reason why no one talks in-game even on consoles. Everyone is just using party chat with their friends (Discord, in PC's case). No one will "hang out" in the tower looking for friends, they'll be just be getting ready for an already pre-planned Raid or Trials session, paying no mind to the randomly spawned players with their tower instance.
You'll have to get friends through other means.

Because the feature is in beta and they only gave tickets to a number of people.

You can do Guided Games for Nightfall but you need tickets, and they will release guided games for the raid eventually.

PC will fix this. They will add a text chat box or voice chat. If Overwatch is able to type in a chat box on PC and Destiny isn't then Bungie really fucked up.
