the already-easy combat was made even easier by making companions into living gods, on top of all Heroic quests now being soloable. You can basically just zip through the class story with a sub and be overleveled by the time you get off the first planet, which will make combat even more of a joke.

Jedi Knight is debatable. it does continue the story of KOTOR 1 and 2, but it isn't as high quality as those two. Drew Kaperyshyn did return to write it though He also returned to write for the Shadow of Revan expansion.
Imperial agent is 100% true though, it continues that deconstruction of the Star Wars universe that KOTOR 2 did, though not to the same effect.
