Aonuma is underrated. He's been getting less and less creative control ever since Wind Waker. People use Skyward Sword as a prime example of why he's shit even though it was directed by the Oracles guy. The last game he worked on that he provided a lot of input for, besides BotW, was ALBW, and that was a fucking good game. I don't care that it's ugly. Designing from a LttP blueprint was brilliant for teaching new blood how Zelda games are supposed to be made.

I'm actually really happy about this tbqh. SC has such a broad reaching casual appeal yet enough to keep a fighting game player involved that it's like it gets subconsciously excluded from every ranking of fighting games. It's basically the perfect middle ground between something like SF/Tekken and Smash Bros.
