what the fuck was his problem
What the fuck was his problem
he wheeled
He is Gavlan. He wheel. He deal. What is your problem with Gavlan?
He wheel. He deal.
He want soul, Many many soul, Hah haha...
He wheel and he deal.
However he wheel not deal with your shit.
Gavlan know you
>Im gonna call in my expert on common mob drops
>welp the best i can do is about 20 souls man take it or leave it
why tho
wheel ahead
deal ahead
GAVLAN WHEEL
Many deal, many thanks
The Gyrms are hollows, except for Gavlan. They brainlessly stand as a guard for the Rat King. He got his poison supplies from the Rat King, and his other items from his Gyrm friends. Gavlan wanted souls to reverse their hollowing and keep a dying flame alight.
Except that's something I made up in the complete absence of there being an actual reason, and that's why I will tell you DaS2 had the worst fucking story/characters in the series; they were criminally underused and underdeveloped compared to other games in the series
He was out of beer
the NPC invader with the lance in the dlc is the best NPC in all of dark souls, you literally can't prove me wrong, not even memeing.
we are wheeling and dealing stop
I dont know, that description you gave sounds interesting, I find that charming in a game where story is left vague and unanswered.
Gavlan just want souls, many many souls
don't talk shit on my boy
poison arrows all day every day
nothing beats ratfagging
>worst story
>illusion of choice arc
>iron king arc
>lucatiel arc
>ivory king arc
alright
My dick tingled every time I talked to the Rat King.
Everything about the DLCs was pure sex
He wheel and you no deal.
The fuck is your problem?
counterpoint
tell me the pyromancer's story arc
or the guy with the fancy blue sword's story arc
or literally anyone else's story arc
In Dark Souls 1 or Demon's Souls, these people would have a story they go through, or at least get a new perspective or challenged on something. Dark Souls 2 had how many people change over the course of the game? Lucatiel, Maughlin... who else? Navlaan? That's it. Everything else was two dimensional or predefined.
BIK's arc was fucking great. I wish had more budget devoted to it but everything about it hit my sweet spots, from gathering up his old comrades to take him out, him discovering witch aids even if it made the location of DaS2 even more confusing, to his Manus shard daughterfu, it was great.
I can't believe how awful DS2 still looks
>tell me the pyromancer's story arc
Dress up, duh
yeah but i feel like DKS2 made up for it by developing a really strong and engaging narrative that was less "WHICH FLAVOR OF ICECREAM DO YOU LIKE, DARK OR FIRE?!?!" and actually opened up discussion of legit issues instead of made up shit. Also, the enemies and items were more defined in DKS2 in my opinion.
Dark souls: its a mushroom and its big! why. its a mushroom! also big.
Dark Souls 2: its an enemy hitting a tree for all eternity, why? because its duty is forever to fight giants and the tree that grew out of the giant's body, which is in itself symbolism for the world's changing nature, looks like a giant to the feral yet earnest mind of these dilapidated warriors.
Gavlan is lonesome because he wheels and deals with humans, and the gyrm don't like him because they drove the gyrm underground.
>Emerald Herald
>Has very little faith in you from the second you enter the land as just another hollow
>You grow stronger and stronger, and she is seemingly impressed with each old one you kill, but she is still doubtful.
>However, she will follow you to Drangleic castle's gate in an attempt to stop you from entering if you do so too early, fearing for your safety.
>She actually cares for your safety
>Visit her younger self at Dragon Aerie near the end of the base game, your presence seeming to comfort her immensely.
>At Majula, in the present, this remains all the more true. She quotes that she will be at your side no matter where you go next
>Follows you to the Throne of Want entrance
>She tells you her actual name, which is Shanalotte, and again makes a comment in regards to your safety, as Nashandra will try to kill you.
>Not a change
Just because you don't pay attention to the characters that doesn't mean they don't have development user. I will even omit DLC characters just for the sake of it.
I loved the chaos cameo. You just jump into a hole not knowing what to expect and suddenly CHAOS and you're getting DaS1 flashbacks
That's some nice cherry picking. You want deep lore? I'll hit you with deep lore. Let me give you something to really make you think:
darksouls.wikidot.com
>Cloak worn by the secret sorcerers at
Vinheim Dragon School.
>They secretly work with sound-based spells,
and never reveal themselves.
darksouls.wikidot.com
>This ring was secretly worn by a certain
surreptitious sorcerer at Vinheim Dragon
School.
darksouls.wikidot.com
>Sorcery developed by a certain surreptitious
sorcerer at Vinheim Dragon School.
Masks all noises of caster.
>Effectively, Vinheim is controlled by the
Dragon School, and it is no wonder that the
town has its share of dark secrets.
darksouls.wikidot.com
>This sorcery, along with Hush, explains the
extravagant cost of hiring Vinheim spooks.
Griggs of Vinheim wears the Black Sorcerer set and drops a Slumbering Dragoncrest Ring. So, consider this ominous proposition:
Was Griggs an assassin sent to Big Hat Logan?
Let's not talk about Havel's dragon fetishization. That's way more symbolic and less evidence based than this indictment.
my point isnt DKS2 lore is deeper than DKS, DKS knocks that out of the park, my point is that DKS2 lore is better cuz it talked about stuff that mattered. Knowing griggs might have been an assassin sent to kill logan or whatever doesnt change how i think, although i like both forms of story i prefer when a story goes out of its way to be deeply relevant to the real world without being preachy shit.
>Benhardt
>One of the most confident characters in the game, seemingly propelled entirely by faith in the power of his blade.
>He can't stop talking about how much he loves his weaponfu
>The sword is 100% fake and this fact at first is pretty damning
>He actually... does a lot of shit with a fake sword.
>Memory of Orro
>Benhart is there
>The last thing this giant saw was Benhart's fake blade.
He's dumb and a badass.
>This man, powered exclusively by blind faith, managed to topple Drangleic
Go to bed Erik
