Generals aren't supposed to be posted outside of /vg/. Although it might be scarcely enforced, that doesn't mean it's okay to keep doing it. There's no reason not to keep these threads where they belong rather than bitching about the mods actually doing their jobs correctly.

I like FE. I have fun when I do extreme amounts of number crunching and strategizing. I can't even imagine ending my turn without knowing exactly what will happen. How do people go about playing these games casually?

I dunno, it's probably the same reason I can't get into number crunching types of games, or stuff like Grand Strategy in general. I'm a casual even if I don't play on Casual mode. I've never felt like doing anything like a 0% growths run or such, games are just fun.

Really? He was a monstrosity on my Conquest playthrough, especially when I turned him into a ninja. Is it just that he's overshadowed by the Nobles or is he actually bad at something? Because if he is bad at something, I couldn't tell what.

If you actually bring up something about the older FE games in /vg/ people will respond. You can't expect them to just be constantly talking about the old games.

He's risky because he's a crit magnet and a bit weak early on, but he actually does have damn good stats and access to Hero and Berserker, both of which are great classes.

Most recent chapter has him spell it out to the cast, and he's pretty much begging them to off him because his bloodline makes him (and Veronica) chimp out hard over Askran royalty.

Personal experience may vary. You might have gotten really good level ups. These games are highly prone to statistical variance

Nigger if you didn't used Arthur you missed out on one of the best children in Fates, Percy is a fucking beast. Arthur does have a little bit of a problem with his 50/50 def and speed growth, but his great HP, attack, and skill growth help make him a very hard hitter. Once you can get him to hero he will be activating Sol all of the time.

What are some other TRPGs like Fire Emblem? I like how the calculations are simple and transparent yet the player has a great deal of control through subtle aspects of positioning, skills, weapons, etc. and I especially like how the finely crafted maps require varied approaches to overcome specific challenges.

Gameplay-wise, Belka doesn't really make any sense.
Her backstory is that she's a slumborn assassin, so she's sneaky and deals with shady business, so you would expect her to be an agile sneaky fighter, instead she rides a fucking wyvern and has Def up the ass. At least her skill makes sense and allows you to make the most out of Hand Axe.

I wish she was an Outlaw instead and have someone else be a Wyvern Knight.
