I've got to say, this game is the most polished, beautiful, crisp dbz game i've ever seen. What does Sup Forums think?

Too busy crying over which characters got in. Also they say it is too casual ized. Also you sound like a shill
It's what I expected it to be. Really simple to get into and pretty easy controls but tons of room for depth with the player to player interactions. There's not much combo complexity right now, but more specialized optimized stuff will probably be found once the game releases. It's probably not going to be a huge combo game though, there will be optimized stuff and you'll spend meter/use assists to extend. The mix-up game seems pretty fucking ridiculous with universal overheads and Vanish being a universal instant full screen crossup, and with assists and tagging all of it can be converted off of. We haven't seen too much in the way of oki, but there's no way it won't be a huge part of the game with how fucking oppressive some of the assists are. Everyone feels relatively strong and there's a nice variety of tools to explore. I'm really excited for it.
I'm trying to sell myself on tag/assist gameplay and keeping coming back to the fact that that shit is crazy. How do I get into tag fighters?
Think of them as free tools that can either help apply pressure or extend combos. It was weird for me at first, too - I just got used to them throughout the years
Hey, you can't be saying that on Sup Forums - you're supposed to be celebrating and getting hype for MvC:I like everyone else.
...
It's extreme butouden but prettier. The game is fun for about 2 hours then it'll bore you.
the only one doing level3 there is cell.
The only thing I don't like is that it feels too small horizontally
I know it would suck to get knocked a few screens away every combo but it just feels constricted
there's competitive depth to it. if that's your kind of thing you can get a lot out of this type of game.
A long time ago, I never thought that I'd ever think 3D games could look as good as 2D. I always thought 3D would inevitably age and 2D would always look great. The latter is true, but I think this one is going to be timeless, visually. The graphics are insane.
Too many cooks!
Have you only been here for one day? DBZ fighterz is shilled relentlessly here and Sup Forums was overwhelmingly negative about MVCI until the past couple weeks.
>game doesn't chug at all with all that shit on the screen
Modern games really are scary.
haven't played it, but from what I saw in the videos before the BETA I though the same thing, like every arksys game, making combos is going to be easy, since all attacks can chain with each other, however making good combos is going to be a different story.
seems like people just want more street fighter and expect all fighting games to play like that but arksys games don't rely on the footsies, it's all about the relentless attacks trying to open up your opponent and with teleports, assists etc, it will give the depth people want, though it will take some time for people to get used to it, but knowing arksys, the game will have depth, right now people are confusing the easy combos with lack of depth
The stage are about the same size as MvC3, you'll need at least multiple bars to corner carry
You would be shocked at how lean ASW 3D is. It's incredibly impressive.
it's Skullgirls 2.0
The thing about this game, is that, they made Cell incredibly hot. He's never looked better.
It's very much not Butoden.
>No Switch version
It's garbage.
>goku's right leg is clipped as fuck
>the left toes is fucking clipped tot he ground too
>Sup Forums is okay with it
You niggers change your standard based on whatever fucking game u like.
You are as bias as the "journalists" you hate so much.
Sup Forums is such a fucking hypocrite.
>inb4 Sup Forums is not a person
Yeah but i had yet see a single complain about clipping while it's always pointed out on other generally hated game on Sup Forums
I don't mean small for a fighting game, I mean small for DBZ
You have never played a single fucking 3D game in your entire life. If we complained about "MUH CLIPPING BAWWWWWWWWWWW" every single time a game had clipping, we wouldn't like anything. And ultimately, any faggot complaining about "muh gwaphix" doesn't deserve to have their opinion heard or entertained to begin with.
Lmao no. Butoden didn't have actual fighting game inputs, literally all characters had the same combo into super, and the worst part is that the super animations were LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG
youtube.com
look at this shit
what the fuck is wrong with you
this game moves very quickly, so unless there's constant, horrific clipping it won't be as noticeable as it is (which is barely) in this one still screenshot
and since when is has Sup Forumss big stand been on clipping
Well it isn't small for DBZ games either, cause there are a few DB fighting games and the stages in them were no bigger than this
>hurrr clipping
Clipping is a fucking fact of life with 3D, the effort to remove it would be so time consuming that it's not financially worth doing for how fucking entirely minimal of a problem it is.
Well considering MvC: I sucks ass...
There's no such things as standards. You like what you like. When you have "standards" all that happens is that you become a jaded cunt that can't enjoy anything because "it's just not deus ex/fallout new vegas/dark souls!".
I know it's really weird and nitpicky, but I don't mean for a DBZ game either. Just feels weird to see the super powerful characters fighting in a 20 ftx20 ft square, knocking each other around at the speed of sound but never leaving it
that's why SFV's hair physics are actually okay
>but I don't mean for a DBZ game either.
Well you are just being a moron now, especially cause you can do attacks in this game that blow up the stage or send people flying to a different stage.
You could complain any game adaptation limits the characters in some way.
How easy is the game to pick up and play?
It is MvC levels of easy?
They're not, but that's a different issue entirely.
>Sup Forums is such a fucking hypocrite.
You are literally the only one that I've ever seen on this site go into an autistic fit over clipping in a still screen-shot.
Hang yourself.
WHY DIDNT YOU DOOOOOODGE
Fun to play for a while but the gameplay gets really stale really fast.
After a certain point I had more fun just watching people play it than actually playing it myself.
easier but there is more depth people haven't discovered. It will likely be around UMvC3 by the time it is figured out
not a moron, just weirdly picky about this one thing. I guess the 3d dbz fighting games just better captured the what the fights were like in the show, and this one is more like a fighting game with the characters from the show in it
also isn't kind of an asshole move to remove the part where I admitted it was weird and nitpicky and then call me a moron for the statement after it
In fighting games, there is usually tons of clipping, simply punching/kicking your opponent your characters arms, legs go through the opponent as he received a kick/punch
if they tried to remove all the clipping, they would have to make tons of animations were the kick stops as soon as it connects with the opponent or pushes the opponent back as far as the foot reaches.
should be easy to pick up, but hard to master, if its anything like guilty gear or blaz blue, those games are easy to pick up and start doing long combos, but once you start playing against good players, you soon find out that you need more than just some pretty combos to win.
God I want this game to not be bad, but having only quarter circles only for everything is even more dumb downed than SFV, which is saying a lot
something off with this dose doc
Is this game going to be English Dubbed? Dont mind Japanese but just curious
>I guess the 3d dbz fighting games just better captured the what the fights were like
But they don't talk for 10 episodes and big attacks hitting the ground don't destroy the world. So unrealistic
> a moron
Yes you are
English dub is happening, just not in the game yet.
user, just think for a moment, in a game where people can teleport everywhere, having characters with charge moves would be unwise since you could just teleport behind the opponent and negate his sonic boom or super charge. games like guilty gear do have charge moves but they don't have every telerporting all over the place.
Nigga that webm.....is that Broly related?
Try this
fucking pottery
what an asshole
literally all I'm saying is that I think the game looks weird and that the combat in the other games captured the fights in the show better, how the fuck does that make me a moron
and why are you defending something this pointless this hard? like, I would understand if you had some clips that illustrated anything of the things you were saying but all you are doing is saying "no you're dumb" as a reply to opinions
You'll change your mind in January. It is definitely the same as Butouden, same boring empty game with absolutely no competitive depth.
Nigga that webm is that Broly related?
I mean I guess, I haven't gotten to play it yet, but that still rubs me the wrong way
The problem is that this game is supposed to appeal to normie Dragon ball fans. I'm pretty sure they were trying to make it so casuals could pick up any character they wanted after learning the basics, if they wanted to play piccolo but he had an absurdly high input barrier, they'd probably drop the game.
It's sort of like an introduction to the fighting genre, in that sense.
Should've at least had DP motions, though.
Sweet, thanks user-kun
MvC infinite faggot should really kill themselves at this point
They're going to drop the game anyway,
normalfags and casuals drop any game where they're forced to face the fact that they fucking suck and need to get better
Only thing is they never admit it's player error and blame the gam instead
We've already seen plenty of depth and the game is 5 months from release. It is literally not Butoden. Please stop talking about things you have no knowledge of.
I don't understand why simple inputs are a bad thing. Wouldn't letting everyone be able to do stuff make people less intimidated? It's not like pros can't outplay them.
>the combat in the other games captured the fights in the show better
But Gohan has no job button and Goku could actually go all out instead of constantly holding back
>literally all I'm saying is...me a moron
well at least you admit it
>if you finish the enemy off with buu's chocolate move he actually fucking eats them instead of them just kind of appearing again like in every other dbz game
What wrong with a fighting game being accessible to everyone while still holding large combo possibilities for more advanced players?
He's probably the MvC I shill just leave him be
Good, I like detail like that
Nothing triggered my autism like how in other games, Buu would turn the enemy into chocolate and then just kind of hit them a few times. Was always so silly that it felt like they might as well've left that out completely.
normies dont play fighting games anyway
The game is full of really nice little detail
huh sweety...
post webm
Nigga...
I don't have a webm, but I do have a youtube link.
youtube.com
That very same engine can run on a PS3 in fact.
nigger just go watch some buu footag
Nothing at all. I actually really like that their making the game normie friendly, it inspires interest in the genre without scaring away potential fans with an unreasonably high skill floor.
It's far better than casualizing an existing franchise IE: modern Capcom fighters.
Not unless Mortal Kombat and Smash______ counts.
And they DO play dragonball games, thats what's so important here. Normies and casuals that find they like this style of gameplay may move to other fighters.
They totally do. Why do you think SFIV sold so much compared to III or V?
wait a minute that ain't right
isn't that just because Gohan's super is going to kill
>I can't tell the depth of a game just from watching videos
You're a goddam moron. All the "cool shit" happening on screen is just some faggot mashing two buttons. It works like the "combo assist" or whatever from Killer Instinct. There's absolutely zero depth to that shit.
MvC I is a huge pile of shit too you goddam idiot.
What determines who wins a beam clash?
user I knoe being a PR guy is frustrating but don't day bad things about your own job
No Gohan can spend 2 extra bars to go full power
There are none, all depends on the super
>Nigga just eats Frieza, pats his stomach and falls asleep
>AND THE CROWD GOES WILD!
oh neat
Is there a list of all the confirmed playable niggas?
you are trying too hard
dba.bn-ent.net
>uses nigga
>can't use google
>dba.bn-ent.net
>uses kikegle
I'd rather have aids.
>I can't tell the difference between an auto combo and a manual combo
lmao what a retard
Whatever helps you sleep at night. See you in the bitching threads in February.
You obviously can't.
Already played it, I can already say it has depth. You don't know anything about fighting games
Says the retard saying everyone is mashing.
Topkek, no you didn't.
Everyone is. Let me guess, you didn't get a code for the beta?
>Too busy crying over which characters got in.
>tfw my guys cell/yamcha/trunks/gohan are in
>mfw superior OC gets in over GT/super autism
no crying here
You're just as bad as the people bitching you know
bite me
This game looks gorgeous from an aesthetic standpoint. Pixel art may be dying, but I welcome the 2.5D conquest. Might get me seriously into fightan games for once, which I'm relieved to hear will be accessible for casuals like myself.
>most polished
>foot clips through the ground
kek
Every combo looks like the same damn thing everytime. Happy for dbz fans but the game looks boring
