English speaking fags invaded his homeland and during the chaos, he caught fire. Then he hated the English language or something.
Why does he wear the mask?
He was born in a small village.
But why is he blue?
He wanted to spoop the skelly inside by make his face like its own. Everyone knows skellies are scared of their own faces.
He had a hard life.

So, did I ever tell you how I think it's one of the deadly sins of game design to not let the player fight a character it's been building up as an antagonist?
>that fucking domino mask when he didn't have one in Ground Zeroes
I thought he was supposed to look like a horribly burned skeleton not a faggot wannabe Zorro cosplayer. That said Skullface was fucking great despite going full Bond villain telling his whole plan before he died.
>no hand to hand fight with Skullface despite being implied to be a badass
disappointing villain
disappointing game
When he was a child they were invaded by soldiers. FOREIGN soldiers.
...
Skullface in GZ was great.
Skullface in TPP was embarassing.
Why does he have an American accent if he's from Eastern Europe?
NOW I'LL SHOW YOU MY DEMON
>*unzips dick*
WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
For some reason he didn't apply parasites himself, which would have given him all sorts of cool powers like
A) Being able to channel lightning
B) Being able to get all his nutrients from the sun
C) Being able to go invisible
D) Being able to breathe through his skin
E) Super strength/speed
F) Not looking all melty and gross
Would he be able to control bees?
Fuck yeah he could.
Complete. Global. Nukificaton.
zorro = fox you mongoloid
parasites are what kept him alive
Actually when watching this for the first time I thought he'd gotten mind control powers or something, which is why he had the silly zoro mask on his face so he could hide the use of his powers, since when Quiet and Code Talker activate theirs they get some black shit around their eyes.
Pretty sure that isn't the case. He's infected by vocal chord parasites which is why he mostly only speaks English, with a few words here and there of other languages, as that's the only one he isn't infected by.
I care why? It looks fucking stupid when he's already unrecognizable because he's already mutilated.
In any media domino masks are shit because it doesn't actually hide a fucking thing.
>Rumor he was going to be named Albatross
>His name is SkullFace
SF's psychic powers come from PM tuning onto his hatred.
WOLBACHIA
MALE INTO FEMALE COPULATION
Yeah I know that, but I thought he must have had something related to the 4th wall break there. Psycho Mantis wasn't capable of doing that in MGSV
He forgot his language, like literally completely forgot it.
I've never understood this complaint. MGSV has mostly shitty bosses in general, but Skull Face's absence from the list never bothered me. You fight Sahelanthropus, which acts as the climax.
>despite going full Bond villain telling his whole plan before he died.
That's pretty standard for Metal Gear.
He's a pale ass burnt nigga, who's country was invaded by US and or british forces, and sees language as the ultimate weapon of imperialists, so he wants to destroy their language, and ultimately ruin their culture and society via the language, and be basically the patriots in human form using his parasites and nukes as his form of off hand domination.

How good of a video game is MGSV, really? Fanboys need not apply.
good game
bad story
pretty good just a bad game for the fanboys
It has really good core gameplay and controls, and I personally like the base management aspect too, since I enjoyed the PW.
But the level design is ass, because of the open world meme, which is kinda crucial for a stealth game. This is one of the reasons why GZ was so good - it was a hand crafted mission in a relatively small level.
Also, as other people mentioned, the story in MGSV is kinda meh. Not to mention the entire last chapter got cut.
>Not to mention the entire last chapter got cut.
Whatever is the last chapter in the video game is the last chapter. Video games have deadlines. This happens all the time.
The best MG final bosses have always been a one-on-one fight to the death (usually against a time limit). Big Boss, Liquid, Black Arts Viper, Solidus, The Boss etc. PW broke this tradition and it just didn't feel as good.
Can you imagine if MGS1 came out with graphics that replicated real people as close as MGS5 does? The story would seem like the stupidest shit ever. I mean, I'm playing devil's advocate here, but people seem really hard on the game for weird reasons.
It's really good on a mechanical level, as in it's probably the most fun to just play. That said, the majority of the missions are either filler or repeats, most of the open-world aspects and especially side-missions are terrible filler, and the scoring system rewards time way too heavily for something with as many options available in the gameplay.
If they'd condensed the game down to like 12-16 super high quality missions, it would be much much better. Also every mission should have had an extreme, stealth, and procure on site mode instead of them just picking a handful of them to do to pad out the mission list to 50 in the last half.
Because he is Red Skull.
No it's just he says shit that freaks out venom snake's psyche, because snake is unstable and has to block out anything that doesn't go along with his view, or tells him the truth, it could also be that he has psycho mantis with him.
They added the mask because they needed something to give psycho mantis, to show who is controlling him.
MAJOR
I'M BURNING UUUUUUUP
B-But Mikubots were cute.
And better boss fights too. It's really noticeable how PW borrows from MH, which exploded in popularity about that time.
Did you really care about ending those AIs though? Even MGS4's horrendous B&B core were better in my opinion.
Care is in their story? Not really, and they didn't really have any substantial story behind them, as far as I remember.
But they were good video game boss fights. I cared about that.
I did just mean in terms of plot, but I agree with you on gameplay.
Because Kojima is autistic
or pheraps he's wondering why someone would put a batman villain in a metal gear solid game
> The ending of MGS series should be a by-the-books ordeal that follows conventions to a c
Sure, you can subvert convention, even that convention. Bioshock did it. But even when you very specifically didn't get to fight Andrew Ryan or even to kill him on your own terms it was an emotionally satisfying moment that drove home the main theme of the plot.
Which Skullfaces' death didn't. At all. And tell me about how it's about the inherent futility of revenge all you want, it was poorly handled and left very little emotional impact.
I wonder if you actually realized that those are kind of super soldiers while SF is just a relatively normal man.
Yes, now you understand. That was the point, revenge isn't satisfying, your pain of losing friends, limbs and so much more is meant to be hollow.
Maybe the whole game is meant to make you feel empty and pain that you can't wash away, because people asked for more metal gear, the fans and konami, so we have to suffer, instead of just letting go, we have to go on.
Why the xof nonsense? Why not make him just fox? Why does he dress as a texan if he hates english that much? Why not being just an american trying to destroy russian language to win the cold war? Why did his soldiers follow him? Didnt they speak english? Why make 4 of each skull and not just one of each with a great boss fight? Why so many shitty extract missions and not 51 or Chico? Why be a fucking medic? Where the fuck is Gray Fox and loli sniper wolf? How does BB return to Foxhoumd?
This. People are retards and keep crying about cut content. If Shadow of the Colossus was released today people here would complain it didn't have 48 colossus like it was planned at one moment.
Cut content doesn't really bother me too much, but MGSV literally ends on a world-threatening cliffhanger. Imagine if at the end of Mario, Toad tells you the princess is still in another castle and then credits roll and that's it. Either deal with the kids stealing Sahelanthropus, or cut out the part where they steal it. How hard is that?
